I'm still not nauseated, just keeping fingers crossed that I stay this way. All food sounds and smells good, and plain water is more refreshing than it has ever been in my life. Otherwise my boobs are just as sensitive and swollen as they were last week (I am so thankful that I bought several soft bras, they don't look great, but they keep me happy day and night). My nipples are getting itchy, and the little Montgomery bumps are getting larger. My butt seems to have paused its growth spurt, and thanks to recent shopping I have four pairs of pants that fit (versus 30 ).
I'll admit that DH's breath has been irritating me lately. I am looking for the words to kindly let him know that I would like a toothpaste change (or brushing frequency increase) in exchange for more kisses.

@echocharlietango you're a much more patient and considerate wife than I am. "You're breath is offensive, fix it." would be the extent of the conversation in my house.
@echocharlietango or "hey im extra sensitive to smells and your toothpaste is throwing me off here is x,y,z I have gotten for you once you use them then we can talk about affection " haha hang in there
anyone else getting headaches? I feel like I have a nonstop dull headache.. Tylenol doesn’t help at all. Usually suffer from regular migraines though so maybe it’s tied to that. And the exhaustion is INSANE. I feel like I’m wading through oatmeal all day long.
I had awful headaches throughout my pregnancy with my son. This time I have been able to manage them with a coke or coffee and Tylenol...so far. Your dr should also be able to give you something if they get too bad!

I am so nauseated. With my last two pregnancies I threw up so much that I had to go to the hospital for fluids. I am really hoping it doesn't get that bad this time around.
@stlmegs I haven’t tried a coke, but I’m so freaking scared about coffee because it’s when I had a cup of coffee last week that I started spotting... and of course I’m an idiot and googled my brains out and found caffeine can possibly cause miscarriage. I guarantee the spotting and the java are not related I’m just so scared I’ll hurt the baby I don’t know if I’ll have coffee again during the first trimester... STM - please tell me that after your first pregnancy you’re less paranoid.....
@pregnant_and_paleo I wish I could say I'm less paranoid this time around but I'm definitely more anxious this time around! (although a little more lax with the "rules")
@acunamatada haha well I guess this “fear” is normal if it still happens during second+ pregnancies... maybe I will get better during the third trimester... I feel like my SIL was as cool as a cucumber for both of her’s.... either she hid her anxiety very well or she was an anomaly hahaha
Just an update on my spotting question... doc said there’s nothing that can be done, that it happens often and that there’s no need to be overly concerned. She said some women even bleed throughout the whole pregnancy... She took my HGC levels so that we can compare if I am stressed still next week. Hope this helps @gspmom21and anyone else out there.
@pregnant_and_paleo for me, this pregnancy has been easier in the sense that I know whatever happens, I can’t change. Which makes me more patient. I had a loss before I had my 5 yo, so I definitely have PGAL anxiety, but I am also more accepting of whatever is gonna happen. If that makes any sense....
Also, for me coke is magic during pregnancy. And I normally HATE regular soda (actually all soda). But for some reason when I’m pregnant the carbonation combined with the sugar syrup can be like a magic tonic for headaches/nausea. Just have to be careful not to have too many!

I haven't read through all the comments I've missed, so I'm sorry if this was already asked.
Does anyone else feel like they aren't getting the over the top emotional mood swings? I feel like I am only getting upset when it's truly warranted and not over things that make me seem over dramatic... now mind you, my husband would completely disagree with me because he told me he doesn't like pregnant Bry - well you dumb dumb quit trying to piss me off. I haven't cried over things that wouldn't normally make me cry, I've cried a few times, but those are the usual triggers for me - things that remind me of my FIL and babies in heaven, typically songs on the radio.
Is this pretty normal? You would think I would be a pro by now with it being my fourth pregnancy but they've all been so different from one another.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
I am super bloated. Like, I look 5 months pregnant and my husband keeps asking if I'm sure I'm only 5+ weeks. I finally gave in and purchased maternity leggings. They. Are. Amazing! Everyone should get a pair. I plan to wear them every day for the rest of this pregnancy.
Today I dropped The Bean off at school at 8:30. Came home to take a quick nap before going shopping for groceries and starting food prep. I slept for four hours. This was NOT the day for this, hormones!
Same. Although I did just cry at the Lady Gaga concert this weekend, but I think it was the music and only a tiny bit hormones. But generally I don't feel any more emotional than normal.
I feel like garbage. I have to eat constantly to avoid nausea so I've already gained like 5 lbs and I look 5 months pregnant already. I'm also gonna need a new bra soon

@pretzellover I've had cramping/I-just-did-abs-yesterday feeling my whole pregnancy! I'm almost 6 weeks and I've had no spotting or anything, but cramping. I think it's just hormones making your body start to stretch out! Not a doc but it's my guess
@cegolden21 Glad it’s not just me! I did IVF and doctor won’t clear me for exercise yet - so the ab pain just adds insult to injury (I really really miss the gym!)

little wins! instead of the tiny excessively hot room for dd my husband and I to share at my in laws we get the giant basement bedroom which has a really soft bed and is nice and cool also quiet for dd! I think my nausea and I will do quite nicely down here I was so worried we would get stuck in the hot one which I knew would be a breeding ground for trouble on so many levels haha. Also dd only napped for an hour today so I am hoping and praying she sleeps through the night because unisom is really painful to wake suddenly from!
So I dunno how many of you read my saga of the preggie pop drops in wtf but I had to find a stand in since they are unattainable to me currently-and these gin gins "soft" candy (not soft at all until sucked on) by The Ginger People are MONEY. I found them in the fancy snack section by all the nuts and other dried fruits and they are really helping the nausea so I don't need 3rd and 4th breakfasts to make it through the first half of the day. They are pretty spicy and traditional gingery so not the same flavor as pop drops at all, but they do the job. Apologies if anyone else already posted about them!
I am only 5 and a half weeks but I'm not really having symptoms except for acid reflux in the evenings. With my first I felt like total crap by now so that has me a little concerned. I will probably just jinx myself by posting this and be barfing by tomorrow.
I am nauseous alot mostly in the mornings. My breasts are so tender i cant stand for anything to touch them. I have no energy. Im also feeling the stretching pains in the bottom of my stomach. This is baby #3 and its kicking my butt! But i know it will be totally worth it in the end!
Yup, same here @limoncat . I'm 7w5d and every week I seem to have a couple of days in which baby blueberry gives me a break. It's usually in the middle of a new week. Then another week starts and BAM, back on the nausea train. So far I've been pretty lucky with only a few rough days but I'm not holding my breath! Biggest symptoms are definitely fatigue -this night owl now crashes at 9pm!- sore boobs, food aversions, super vivid dreams. The urge to pee is still manageable and I haven't been super emotional yet, although I've cried for some really random/silly stuff.
Had a few days with cramping and back pain. None lately. Also had spotting 3 Monday's in a row (weeks 5,6,7). Spotting was pink, red and then brown. Worries me a lot. I don't have my first ultrasound until December 4th. Syptoms are mild with only some slight boob pain. Anyone else experience spotting? My doctor doesn't seem to concerned and mentioned it's fairly common. I didn't know that! This is my first.
@bam718 I've had some spotting with all of my pregnancies, it can be totally normal. Sex could irritate the cervix, causing spotting/bleeding among other things. As far as symptoms, some women never ahve any symptoms at all! You might be lucky! More than likely all is well, I would only be more cautious if your cramping was more on one side than another- even then, that can be normal. I know it's difficult but try and relax!
@bam718 i spotted all first tri with my son and was on bedrest. It was mostly pink/red. He went full term.
This is time around i spotted brown 3 days when i tested and stopped when i started the progesterone suppositories. Nothing since. Although my recent ultrasound says there is a small clot and i hope it’s nothing. I started having cramping last night and went away till this morning. I thought i saw some pink this am but can be sure. Just waiting it out today see what happens - hope nothing. I don’t see me doc again till the 11th. Hope it’s normal for you and all turns out ok.
At 4 weeks 6 days I have been extremely tired, crampy, moody, woke up every two hours last night super sweaty and stomach pains/ bloat. I'm pretty nervous about the cramps, I hope it's nothing bad. Praying for good betas today!

Just watch what you eat... Like choose healthy, filling snacks instead of high calorie sugary ones, and you should be okay.
