Thank you ladies! RN suggested i take Tylenol and lay on my side for 1.5 hrs and drink water. If the cramps are still bad i should go to the ER. She said it could be the clot dissolving but good it’s stl brown. Calling doc on Monday to be seen sooner.
@wildtot I'm glad you're calling to get in sooner! Here's hoping its just the clot dissolving!
I forgot about a symptom of pregnancy that I have until last night...I get incredibly anxious when I'm around lots of people for an extended period of time. I just get an urge to kick everyone out and go lay in bed.

I am also feeling a bit like a hermit, and I'm not a fan of having too many people around. I'm super outgoing but I think at this time I just want to be free from any set plans and just relax until the first tri is finally over. I am also fear lurkers and even though we only had one friend over last night she was already inquiring about my glass of apple cider
@wildtot Sending you positive thoughts and big hugs!
Yesterday while eating dinner, I almost tossed up everything I ate. I had to rush to the bathroom. Luckily, it went away by just laying down. Everyone at the table looked at me like I was hiding something (only a few family members know). I had to play it off like I ate too much, too fast. I think they bought it because I had gastric sleeve 3 years ago. However, my mom is now looking at me strange. I may need to fess up to her, especially because I live with her. That was the first time where I actually felt so nauseous I was going to vomit. Not looking forward to more of that.
So, my MS (all day sickness) is a bit different with each pregnancy, it seems. With DS1, I threw up all day every day for 3 months, then was fine. With DS2, I never actually threw up, but felt like it all day every day until I discovered unison + B6. With this one, the unisom + B6 takes some of the edge off, but not all of it.
Here's the weird part. Twice now, what has made me feel sooooo much better is a quarter pounder with cheese and fries. So, the rational part of my brain says I must be needing protein. So I spent the morning pounding protein, and nothing. Not until I cave and take my boys to McDonald's for that glorious quarter pounder. Now I feel like I might actually get some grading/paper writing done this afternoon.
Any thoughts? Or am I doomed to a pregnancy of McD's to be able to function?

@ethnomusicwhat maybe its fat or sheer number of calories? Unless you ate a pound of bacon, I doubt you came close to the calories in a qp and fries. Don't judge yourself to harshly....it probably won't last forever!
@ethnomusicwhat i swear its like hangover food is the only thing that settles me. I just had a QP and i feel great! (Minus the guilt) i don’t feel this good after a salad...
I'm with you @kissableviv. I'm super social and a total extrovert, but this baby has me feeling like invasion of the body snatchers. Last night at thanksgiving all I wanted was to go home and take a nap and get some peace and quiet. Very weird for me.
@ethnomusicwhat I had a really bad day the other day (nausea-wise) and after eating a sausage egg McMuffin and hash brown I felt the best I had felt all day. No shame in the McDonalds game if it works!

@wildtot my sister had one with my niece when she was pregnant with her. I know she had quite a bit of bleeding and it was pretty scary. Hope you are feeling better this evening. Hang in there!

@wildtot I have a friend who had one with both pregnancies and bled enough both times that she thought she had miscarried. Everything was fine and both kids went full term! Keep hope and try not to drive yourself nuts!
@stlmegs@SmashJam thank you for sharing some hope. I’ve been keeping it mellow today and cramping and spotting is minimal. Hopefully i can still be seen before my appointment on the 11th. My ultrasound showed a small clot so hopefully it won’t last long.
My apologies, @acunamatada! Seriously, though; I'm wondering if I need to just carry a stash with me to get through this last full week of classes. @coco2787, I'm with you--if it's working, I'm all for it. I'm just hoping to keep the weight gain to a minimum. @SmashJam -- so you think it's not just the protein, but protein + fat and/or calories? Or, as @dapple88 put it, hangover food?

My doc is the same! I called and left a message yesterday to see if I still needed to fast because this was supposed to be a regular annual exam and blood-work. Then I got my bfp. No call yesterday and again today... luckily, I’ll be working with a midwife, but I haven’t made the switch yet since I had this appointment pre-scheduled... my doc is great, but her office staff is a nightmare! @gspmom21
I would find a new doctor ASAP. As someone with previous loss it was important to me to finds doctor to understand where I’m at. Thankfully my office I can call and they have a nurse that just takes calls from pregnant ladies. So answers@gspmom21 not sure how there after hours works though as I never used it last pregnancy.
Today I dropped The Bean off at school at 8:30. Came home to take a quick nap before going shopping for groceries and starting food prep. I slept for four hours. This was NOT the day for this, hormones!
I had forgotten how completely wiped I get for absolutely no reason (ok, a reason, just not one I’m used to yet).
Does anyone else feel like their heart is beating way fast all the time? Im going to ask my dr about it but i noticed when i was snuggled up on the couch watching a movie that I could feel it beating and it almost felt like it was goinh to beat out of my chest.
I got seriously nauseous trying to help DH prep the turkey. The smell and watching him do it was just a bit to much and almost made me throw up. I had the samr thing happen at my moms earlier tonight during dinner. I got super hot and felt super sick. I went and sat in the other room and put my head back and felt better.

Just had my first explosive episode of hormone craziness. One minute I was laughing, the next one I started crying like a baby while watching a video my mom posted on Facebook. Ironically, it was about mothers...she doesn't know I'm pregnant and she lives in Italy
Hi ladies, I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. I've been experiencing the usual frequent urination and sore breast but I'm not sure if this next symptom is normal or what to do about it. Lately my head has felt very cloudy, foggy.I don't have a headache when the feeling comes but it puts me out of it. Thankfully having this whole week off I've been able to sleep when need be so I don't think it's lack of sleep. With it being thanksgiving week I have been worried that maybe it's my diet. Every time I start feeling it I tell my husband I need fruits, vegetables, a salad..."something healthy" thinking maybe I need to detox or worried I've had too much salt. Today all I had was chips and salsa, took a nap and woke up with the fog
@craddockwifey313 how is your protein intake? I had that really badly for the first week or two, then I read that a high protein diet helps with that as well as morning sickness. I still get that feeling, but it's easier to function now. You also need to make sure you get enough water. I have had basically no water today and I'm feeling very cloudy at the moment. Last pregnancy I actually blacked out a few times and my doctor said it was normal, so pregnancy is just crazy.
@acciocoffee I cannot believe I didn't think to think about my water intake. When I'm at work I drink it all day but being off this week I've neglected it. Thank you for recommending that, I needed that reminder. I'm sure my protein intake is below what it should be also because I've been having to force myself to eat lately and when I do I get full very quickly. I decided I need to start a food diary and start taking my intake and see if I notice a difference.
anyone else disgusted by meat? I feel like it’s not clean enough or something. My dad was making prime rib sandwiches earlier and I almost barfed. The whole house smelled like meat and it was disgusting
Every day by lunch time i start to feel bloated that turns into nausea. No throwing up but super nauseous that results in bloat and major burping. And i have no appetite because if this. I then sleep with a huge stomach ache.
@busymommy23 I've also been super aware of my own heartbeat - I've had trouble sleeping some nights because I can feel it pulsing against the mattress if I lay on my left side. I hadn't decided whether I thought it was due to pregnancy!
@busymommy23 - yes for the heart rate thing BUt I’m normally on heart medications for fast heart rate- it’s a class C for pregnancy so I’m not taking it until I talk with the doctor. If your short of breath with the fast heart feeling calling your doctor sooner than later.
Only 5 weeks here but my pregnancy insomnia has kicked in full force
Holy cow. My back is killing me. It’s like the left lower side by my spine keeps going into spasms. And I’m so bloated i can’t figure out how to relax it. I know those probs aren’t related but it feels like they are.
Well, I have a bad cold, and let me tell you it sucks. I have not been sick in 4 years. Bad timing but at least it's a long weekend and I can lay low - DH just brought me a juice with tons of ginger. Baby has been giving me a break so at least no nausea but the peeing and food aversions are definitely hanging around
I'm just getting over a horrible cold, now it's just a cough and I'm trying to clear it all out. While I was sick I had zero nausea! None! Probably because I could barely breathe. Now that I'm feeling better it's slowly creeping back.. Just what I wanted!
