This is legit the 4th or 5th different thread with this same story but different poster name! Sometimes they add that their sister/cousin/best friend is also infertile. They are always models. And eventually another weird person comes on and says: too bad! I had the same problem, but biotex really helped me with a surrogate! Yay! Everyone should get some biotex!! Lol I think it's awful they come on here and do this!
@funkykey - Ugh that's terrible about all the delays... it's like when is the time right? So that means FET earliest January if we're hopeful?
@dragonette505 - omg your response in that biotex thread! Spot on! It's so crazy how they come here to prey on women who are at their lowest... I have definitely felt like I would literally do anything to have a baby and if I had to go the surrogate route who knows how easily I could've fallen for their "marketing" ploy.

Hi @tnh0413 I'm also there at the Oct FET thread but I can't post anything very helpful except for welcoming new members. AF arrived just a few days for me too and our appt with our Dr is tomorrow. This July/Aug thread is the first one I've joined so I feel like this is my home base. But I try to visit other threads too, 1) to search for info 2) to try to be encouraging and helpful 3) and to receive encouragement myself ... I'll be looking forward to your updates

I may be shaking though! Also, really liking the fertility diet and down 5lbs in 2 weeks. Hoping to get into the healthy "fertile zone" Ive been reading about.

I remember as a preteen insisting my PCP--and eventually OBGYN--be female. As an adult I no longer care, lol, but I guess a lot of women do. Oh if young Bababatty could see just how many doctors of both genders have been up in her business the past year. As long as it's a good doctor, that's what matters.

I am grateful fir that, but then like what about the estrogen? Can I expect to be on that like days? A week? Several weeks? Before starting PIO? And what do you think the chances are of getting my doctor to switch me to suppositories??? lol
Not sure what the protocol is for you, but I had to take estrogen for 15days, then add progesterone for 5 more days, then FET (scheduled for Sept 20th). So it's about 3 weeks total. I'm really really really bad with needles, so I told my RE to start me with suppositories first, and only if it doesn't work we'd switch to PIO. They are usually quite flexible, but I guess also depends on a clinic and specific protocols.

A quick question, this is my 10th day after AF arrived and I'm still having light spotting. Do you experience this too post ER? This is my first AF after ER.
@BusinessWife thanks! I'm super excited! @tinjp78 check with your nurse just in case it's something to do with the retrieval itself, but I also had quite long and heavy AF after the retrieval - lots of lining grew with all the extra estrogen.

hi ladies!! I am PUPO yay!!! Its so exciting to type that and its for me woohoo!!! It was an interesting day. Of course I didn't get much sleep and was headed to the clinic bright and early for acupuncture first. Got there and they basically tell me I'm not scheduled for my transfer till the afternoon....really thats odd AND thats not what they told me on saturday. SOOOOO regardless we get things moving and the RE doing my transfer is awesome and tells me he'll fit me into his day and it won't be a problem. I was thrilled all systems were a go. OF COURSE I was already stressing but i really was just trying to stay calm and go with it. I won't lie till I found out my lil pnut thawed ok and was ready for transfer I was nervous....OH was running late of course cause it wouldn't be him if he wasn't And after 60ozs of water I was ready to go. My fresh transfer I held my bladder through acupuncture and it was torture so this time it really was so much better. Did Acupuncture right after and was exhausted by the time I got home and slept the whole afternoon....I think I slept more today then after my ER this time...not kidding. Hopefully that lil nugget is getting all cozy and snuggly. Just had my pineapple drink...let the symptom spotting begin...you know I already had a lil cramp and was like yes lets keep it coming and then nothing...
Why I'm acting like I've never been through this before I guess I just have to hope I'll have similiar symptoms since it did work prior and thats what worries me...I'll try not to drive myself too crazy... or you haaaaaaa.

Just got back home from our dr's appt. I had an U/S and 3 follicles on left ovary and 2 on the right. Dr suggested timing if we wanted. As for my strange spotting and bleeding, she suspected it's ovulation blood. ( AF came which ran for 5 days, then 4days light spotting and today around 5cc of blood was on my panty liner just before seeing ng dr! ) During the U/S, dr said the blood she was seeing was like a day 1 period blood, I repeatedly asked her if it was something to worry about and she said, not. But if this continues 4 days more, We should notify her.
Anyway, I got my progesterone vaginal tablets and estrogen patches from the hospital and dr told me to wait for her instructions when I could start using them. On Oct 1, I'll start my nasal spray (used to suppress ovulation) and won't stop spraying 'til dr tells me so.
I also got my calendar already. The tentative day for my FET is Oct 31. It's this long coz we wait for 2 AF cycles.
@Hopeful_mom. Congratulations on PASP status!!! ❤❤❤ How are you feeling?
@tinjp78 Glad you got some answers. Wow, that does seem long, but you can do it. Maybe our transfers will end up super close! My nurse told me to expect to wait several days after my polypectomy, (which I'm hoping to have on Oct 11th fx, otherwise 18th), then 11-12 days of estrace, and 5 days of pio prior to transfer.
<b>Update</b>: So today we had 3 at 13mm on each of the left and right, with 10 + 12 under 10pmm. So that's great! Just slower than I had hoped for. My hopes for a Sunday retrieval were pretty well dashed, but that's okay. I go back in two days.
@tinjp78 I too have had a long time of spotting after AF this time, and this didn't happen after my other retrievals. Today is CD14 and it's still going! I just emailed my nurse to ask so will let you know what I hear! I'm nervous to start stims if there's something wrong. Ive had intermittent low pelvic pain too, mostly at night. Hoping they don't delay my next IVF!

@Hopeful_mom Nope, but my clinic doesn't give calendars. I've got my SHG tomorrow and then I'll call on CD1--mid-October--to get started. My RE did go over the plan, but I've mostly forgotten. I think it was baseline monitoring, estrogen, then progesterone, possibly some ganirellix, and FET at some point that cycle, lol. I don't have any of the priming or other things other ladies are doing. I brought up my concern about my progesterone levels being low--since I started bleeding despite the progesterone during my IVF cycle--so going to make sure they're on top of it.
Okay @tinjp78 I just heard back from my nurse and she said no worries, that spotting can be common on the BCPs and that they'll make sure everything looks good at my baseline U/S next week. I feel relieved.

So I finally got AF yesterday and went for my first consult today for FET. I met with the nurse only and found out that my transfer is scheduled for November 4th. I am so upset because I thought my transfer would be in the next 3-4 weeks.
Apparently they want me to take BCP for 3 weeks plus Lupron then estrogen patches then progesterone. I understand wanting to make sure I'm ready but I feel like that's overkill. I only expected the estrogen and progesterone. She described it as 'suppression' initially then when I asked her why I needed suppression she said it is to help us organize timing with the lab. I don't understand why the lab needs over 3 weeks to thaw embryos and monitor them for 5 days. I suspect my clinic uses BCP to space out patients while at the same time making them feel like they are doing something.
My clinic is definitely the IVF factory around here but I chose them for their convenient hours and the location I go to is 15 mins from my work place. I spoke to DH about transferring to another clinic or doctor but at this point that would probably take just as long. I'm pretty sure they are just behind due to the hurricane and want to delay some patients however I would prefer to just wait another cycle in that case and take less meds. Right now I'm having the worse AFs I've had in years because of all these meds and hormones. I don't see why I need to take more just to make it convenient for them.
Forgive my rant but I'm just so fed up and want this process to be over already.
@safire3 I definitely think that's a valid medical question for your doctor. Is all this fet prep really necessary FOR ME, IN MY SPECIFIC CASE? Or can I just as easily take a cycle off and then start priming? That way even if that's still what happens, you might feel better about it with a proper explanation - or maybe get to take a cycle off!? Worth a shot, if you ask me!

Its one of my fave days! @BusinessWife slow and steady... you will be done in no time! Did you take a cycle off in between or jump right in? I cant remember.... @Bababatty don't they normally supplement with progesterone during your FET anyway? @safire3 That seems like a lot. But ive only ever done 1 transfer and it was a "natural" transfer, so no suppression.... they monitored me for natural ovulation then (I thought this was weird) they had be trigger and then estrogen and progesterone till transfer and progesterone after. I felt like that was weird to call natural since they had me trigger, but I wonder even about the BCP's for you... is it just for timing the cycle?
AFM.... AF finally arrived (of course exactly on schedule so no finally about it...lol) so I'm in my prep cycle! For some reason my doc thought I was jumping right back in to priming and stimming... but I was like.... slow down baby!! lol I need a break in between.... mentally and physically. I still am fighting an awful cold and theres no way in hell stimming would help. I'm just to start estrogen a week before my next period and she wants to look at my ovaries and stuff then to make sure I'm in good shape to start!
@dragonette505 so you're basically just taking a cycle off now as a breather? That sounds so smart. I did not do that. Lol I jumped right into stimming and we are here on CD8, stimming day 5. I'm adding Ganirelix tonight actually, next monitoring Thursday. Did I mention I'm exhausted? Bc I'm definitely exhausted and overly emotional lol
Polypectomy is scheduled now for Oct 18th, likely start estrogen Oct. 22nd, 11 or 12 days of that, then schedule get and start PIO 5 days out... That's the plan anyway!
@dragonette505 hope you feel better soon and I'm glad AF is finally here. It was excruciating waiting for mine although I realize it only took as long as my usual LP. And yes I think the BCP is just for timing the cycle. I took @BusinessWife's advise and sent a message asking that my RE call me to discuss it. I'd rather take a month off than do BCP for 3 weeks.
@BusinessWife my current clinic is the first clinic that has ever said I COULD just keep going. Honestly in this moment I could not deal. I still have this cold and honestly, I don't feel like my ovaries are ready for primetime.... I would just be destroyed doing back to backs.

@tinjp78 check with your nurse just in case it's something to do with the retrieval itself, but I also had quite long and heavy AF after the retrieval - lots of lining grew with all the extra estrogen.

I don't produce FSH, so no natural menstrual cycle. DH has reduced morphology.

It was an interesting day. Of course I didn't get much sleep and was headed to the clinic bright and early for acupuncture first. Got there and they basically tell me I'm not scheduled for my transfer till the afternoon....really thats odd AND thats not what they told me on saturday. SOOOOO regardless we get things moving and the RE doing my transfer is awesome and tells me he'll fit me into his day and it won't be a problem. I was thrilled all systems were a go. OF COURSE I was already stressing but i really was just trying to stay calm and go with it.
I won't lie till I found out my lil pnut thawed ok and was ready for transfer I was nervous....OH was running late of course cause it wouldn't be him if he wasn't
Just had my pineapple drink...let the symptom spotting begin...you know I already had a lil cramp and was like yes lets keep it coming and then nothing...
Why I'm acting like I've never been through this before I guess I just have to hope I'll have similiar symptoms since it did work prior and thats what worries me...I'll try not to drive myself too crazy... or you

I despise pineapple but managed to eat 1 pineapple smoothie and take a few days worth of a trader joes pineapple supplement after my transfer. Good luck!!

Anyway, I got my progesterone vaginal tablets and estrogen patches from the hospital and dr told me to wait for her instructions when I could start using them. On Oct 1, I'll start my nasal spray (used to suppress ovulation) and won't stop spraying 'til dr tells me so.
I also got my calendar already. The tentative day for my FET is Oct 31. It's this long coz we wait for 2 AF cycles.
@tinjp78 Glad you got some answers. Wow, that does seem long, but you can do it. Maybe our transfers will end up super close! My nurse told me to expect to wait several days after my polypectomy, (which I'm hoping to have on Oct 11th fx, otherwise 18th), then 11-12 days of estrace, and 5 days of pio prior to transfer.
<b>Update</b>: So today we had 3 at 13mm on each of the left and right, with 10 + 12 under 10pmm. So that's great! Just slower than I had hoped for. My hopes for a Sunday retrieval were pretty well dashed, but that's okay. I go back in two days.

So I finally got AF yesterday and went for my first consult today for FET. I met with the nurse only and found out that my transfer is scheduled for November 4th. I am so upset because I thought my transfer would be in the next 3-4 weeks.
Apparently they want me to take BCP for 3 weeks plus Lupron then estrogen patches then progesterone. I understand wanting to make sure I'm ready but I feel like that's overkill. I only expected the estrogen and progesterone. She described it as 'suppression' initially then when I asked her why I needed suppression she said it is to help us organize timing with the lab. I don't understand why the lab needs over 3 weeks to thaw embryos and monitor them for 5 days. I suspect my clinic uses BCP to space out patients while at the same time making them feel like they are doing something.
My clinic is definitely the IVF factory around here but I chose them for their convenient hours and the location I go to is 15 mins from my work place. I spoke to DH about transferring to another clinic or doctor but at this point that would probably take just as long. I'm pretty sure they are just behind due to the hurricane and want to delay some patients however I would prefer to just wait another cycle in that case and take less meds. Right now I'm having the worse AFs I've had in years because of all these meds and hormones. I don't see why I need to take more just to make it convenient for them.
Forgive my rant but I'm just so fed up and want this process to be over already.

@Bababatty don't they normally supplement with progesterone during your FET anyway?
@safire3 That seems like a lot. But ive only ever done 1 transfer and it was a "natural" transfer, so no suppression.... they monitored me for natural ovulation then (I thought this was weird) they had be trigger and then estrogen and progesterone till transfer and progesterone after. I felt like that was weird to call natural since they had me trigger, but I wonder even about the BCP's for you... is it just for timing the cycle?
AFM.... AF finally arrived (of course exactly on schedule so no finally about it...lol) so I'm in my prep cycle! For some reason my doc thought I was jumping right back in to priming and stimming... but I was like.... slow down baby!! lol I need a break in between.... mentally and physically. I still am fighting an awful cold and theres no way in hell stimming would help. I'm just to start estrogen a week before my next period and she wants to look at my ovaries and stuff then to make sure I'm in good shape to start!
Polypectomy is scheduled now for Oct 18th, likely start estrogen Oct. 22nd, 11 or 12 days of that, then schedule get and start PIO 5 days out... That's the plan anyway!
SO cool you are almost there, though!! You'll be transferring before you know it!
