@tinjp78 yeah.... last 2 cycles before this past one I got sick too. But it was winter and hard to kick so I basically was sick through the second cycle.... it was awful. Going to work hard on getting healthy again so I can be strong in this upcoming cycle
@tinjp78 - I know the feeling having to wait out cycles! But at least it will give your body time to recover from the egg retrieval and feel back to normal.
@BusinessWife - I think I stimmed a bit slower too... I was penciled in for 10 days of stims and it kept getting pushed out until 12 days of stims.
@safire3 - Hm that sounds like a long time to take BCPs basically 1 cycle. I like BusinessWife's idea to take a cycle off.
@dragonette505 - I feel you, I'm still fighting my cold or whatever this bug is! My nurse says it could be allergies and I'm like uhhhh I don't feel like this is regular old allergies! And I sure wouldn't want to be starting up a cycle under the weather.

Some clinics so BCP, did you so BCP through stemming?? I have low amh so we skipped any suppression! And I jumped straight to estrace and then progestrone for protocol for FET.

@dragonette505 Sorry, I just meant I was going to be on them to increase the progesterone dosage if needed. Progesterone is indeed a standard part of a FET cycle. Sorry you're still feeling sick! Feel better soon!!
Just got my low-dose HCG refilled on my lunch, for Friday delivery in case I need it... if we trigger Sunday, for example, for Tuesday ER, then I'll need it Saturday for one dose lol. This super-short shelf life is crazy! At least the refill is free for the same cycle.

Hello everyone! Just needed to vent as I have been pretty cool & collected. I wasn't going to POAS until I get my 1st beta on Friday. Now I am getting anxious all of a sudden. I am thinking why aren't my boobs sore, cramping is non existent , etc.
@Bababatty Ahhh...ok! I was like whoa! Part of me wishes I didn't have to take the prog during an FET because of the false feeling of pregnancy and because (tw) I couldn't tell id mc'ed because I was still on the stuff
@Hopeful_mom @ BusinessWife I'm still trying to work this cold out of my system... I did go to the gym today, but it was pretty abysmal as far as a workout! lol hoping to sweat it out!

@Hopeful_mom so the nurse called me back again, not the RE as I requested. Anyway she said this is their typical prep for a frozen transfer. I also did almost 3 weeks of BCP before starting stims and I have a very low AMH. Who knows if I may have had more follies if I didn't do that part.
Despite them saying that this is their normal protocol they did offer me to skip the BCP and start Lupron and estrogen patches tomorrow for retrieval on October 13th. I was tempted but I decided it was too rushed and it would be more difficult to arrange with work since that is a Friday; so we will stick with the original plan. Also *TW for religious talk ahead* my mom sent me a message last night telling me to trust in God's timing even though she doesn't know anything about my appointment yesterday. I'll take that as a sign that I need to just be patient and wait. What's a few more weeks after all these months anyway?

Monitoring Update: </b> You guys!!! The girls have totally been busy! The doctor said I may be tracking for Sunday retrieval afterall!!! Fx and thank goodness for small mercies....
<span>Left side had 3 at 15, one each at 17 and 19, plus four 13s and a 10. Right had one 15, two 17s, one 19, a 13 and four 10s. So 9 over 13 right now? I think those tend to have more of a chance to be mature, so hopefully should go well! And if I can manage to avoid any workplace issues this time, so much the better. </span>

I actually had my third (!) ultrasound this Tuesday. Things are looking normal. Measuring 7 weeks with a 150 bpm heart rate. My clinic is having me come in every Tuesday until I transition to an OB. Just hoping I can get through this 1st trimester with no issues... I'm dying to tell my mom.
@BusinessWife - Those look like great numbers! I'm sure you will get a lot of mature eggs.

@helloworld9 awwww that is awesome that you get to see the peanut so often! I am so happy for you. So you won't tell your mom until then? My mom and my H's parents know we are doing IVF now and are constantly asking for updates so we won't be able to keep anything from them.
@safire3 - Yeah I want to be very sure it's a safe time to tell people. I don't think I can deal with updating them with a loss after spreading positive news. I actually also kept IVF a secret from my mom. She has very negative views about it and thinks it's a waste of money and that my RE is an evil doctor pushing us towards expensive treatments. Also she thinks I need to "relax" and "it can take a few years" all of that bs. Sigh. So she has no idea she has frozen grandchildren either. I'm firmly not going to tell her though because I fear of the judgment that it will bring.

Last night went okay, just have to get my sleepy butt to one more monitoring, plus remember to bring my lupron and extra HCG in case for 7AM, and make it through a half day of work. Looking forward to that big nap on Sunday!!! :D
