@BusinessWife I'm sorry about the other 9. Still really happy you have the 7 chugging along, but I know how hard that must be to lose so many that were mature. Maybe the eggs were just on the cusp of maturity? I can't remember if your H also had motility problems, which is the case with DH. Our RE said they're not doing as thorough a review of the sperm before ICSI as they do when testing (to avoid killing them? I don't know) so it's a best guess (like @Hopeful_mom said). Anyway, it's actually still a good question to ask your RE when you have a follow-up--why do they think so many didn't fertilize? Best of luck with the 7!!

@Bababatty DH has azoospermia, so motility was never a thing. Lol they went in and retrieved sperm surgically. They used his two MESA samples first, which were collected from the epepididymis, and should be more *mature, then we still have two samples left from the TESE which are less mature because they came directly from the testicular tissue. So ya, could definitely be both of those things - cusp of maturity eggs and/or cusp of maturity sperm? Who knows... but yeah, I mean if they are just taking ones that "look alright" who even knows if they are actually all that great when it gets right down to it. Idk.

At least now maybe we can feel a little more at ease that the ones that make it will give us a reasonable number to transfer all eventually, as I doubt in all reality all seven will make it. :/ sad to say. hopefully at least another three or four to freeze along with our other three, and we will be well on our way to eventually completing our family!!! How are you feeling?
@BusinessWife I'm sorry about your 7 lil fighters didn't pull through. I believe that everything has a purpose. But it would also be nice to get some info from your RE on what actually happened and why they were disregarded.

@tinjp78 oh! I'm sorry if I wasn't clear, just bummed out. But there were 17 mature. 7 they told me right away had fertilized. As far as I know they are still fighting!!!! But the other 9 that they were hoping might take, have all arrested. :( Hopefully we still get a good freeze report for the first 7 on Saturday! :)
I've been feeling somewhat nauseous for the last week, but today I was more nauseous and not feeling like eating much. HOWEVER We got some great news at our 7 week ultrasound! Our little one is measuring right on track and had a heart beat of 132! Our RE said if it's over 100bpm at this point, there is a 96% chance the baby will make it to full term! I couldn't believe it and I hope its true

@tinjp78 thanks for asking DH will be ok if he actually takes his blood pressure meds when he's suppose too. Its amazing how men think they know it all and refuse to listen. My DR let me know he's a nut...like I didn't already know He has to remember one or two pills...not like my 10, i mean come on!! I need him to relax so i can stay relaxed through the process!! That is wonderful news! I heard the same from my clinic at my 6w ultrasound. The little babe had a heartrate of 110bpm and the nurse taking my ultrasound said anything over 100 was good. I'm really hoping that 96% stat you heard is true for the both of us. I'm still feeling so much anxiety throughout this first trimester. I had my weekly appointment today. Measuring 8w with 174 bpm! I hate getting my hopes up after so much failure but it's hard not to. I'm just praying this sticks the entire way. The nurse at my clinic is so kind. She told me that she was touched after our teaching visit two months back (after my sob fest), she prayed that our time would come, and now she believes that God listens. It was so touching I teared up when she told me, and I'm not a very religious person by any means. She has been so positive with me, even during IVF. It's a struggle to balance faith with infertility, and I'm just hoping someone out there is listening for everyone here struggling too.

@helloworld9 No fresh transfers for me. My clinic doesn't do them, plus I have a polyp. So that's my next step after cd1 and more baselines is go on BCPs for my Oct 18th polypectomy. Then we can finally prep for FET!!! Hopefully early November...

@Hopeful_mom That's very fortuitous about 18! I'm also like that, numbers have meaning to me too.
I'm on weekly ultrasounds now but I have no idea when I graduate. I wish I can stay with my clinic forever, they are all so wonderful. I found an OB, but the earliest she can fit me in is when I'm close to 12w next month! Maybe that's normal for everyone else? I can't ever imagine having my first pregnancy appointment near the end of the first trimester. Or I'm just spoiled by my RE.

I shouldn't laugh, but I did at your DH's reluctance to take his blood pressure meds. My DH can be hard-headed/short-sighted like that sometimes too. And OMG, that crinone reaction sounds AWFUL. (I too sometimes lurk on the PAIF board, mostly for inspiration, when I'm having a REALLY bad day, lol.)

AFM: The doctor called yesterday and they've had a cancellation- I go in for the polypectomy on Monday!!! Which means, depending on how it goes and the recovery, I could be looking at a November FET.
I almost screamed when she asked if I was free, I was like: "Yes yes yes Oh my God, thank you so much!" I mean, after I cried on the phone with them when they told me it was going to be in December, they told me I was at the top of their cancellation list, but I didn't believe them. I thought they just said that to get me off the phone, because I was so hysterical, almost.
Anyway, I'm thrilled, and I feel very very thankful, and feel also a little like I'm actually a human to one of the 10 doctors I've seen through this, and not just a piece of meat, you know?
This process is not for the faint of heart! And so many ups and downs!
@funkykey. It's 545am here, so I did not actually scream, but believe me, there was an internal scream of yes yes yes!!! For you!!! Monday! Omg! So often I feel loke the cancellation list, nothing happens. What a lucky break! I'm so happy you get to take this giant step, and fx be Nov FET buddies, too!!! ❤❤❤

My first ever BFP was november - yay summer babies
Ladies the results are in. The tears are following as I get to say it is a BFP, beta is 75 which makes me nervous of course BUT they are happy with progesterone being over 40 and E2 is 447 SO I'm gonna try not to be a nervous wreck and pray for some doubling numbers on friday! I'm thinking my lil pnut took a lil time finding just the right spot to get all cozy in
Funny I didn't mention my fire vag as I"m sure you all want to kno ...the RE that was on call fit me in along with doing a urine culture. I will save the details except my RE stating she has never seen such a severe reaction before, and my vag is anger. Super inflamed and on fire from the inside out...can't wait to see how she does with labor At least I can make jokes...praying I will start to feel some relief soon. There was still a bunch of crinone that needed help coming out.

@Hopeful_mom anything over 50 at 9dp5dt is good! Implantation can be a process that can happen over 5 days or so.... the one beta value only tells you you are preg.... the doubling is all they look for right now!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

At least now maybe we can feel a little more at ease that the ones that make it will give us a reasonable number to transfer all eventually, as I doubt in all reality all seven will make it. :/ sad to say. hopefully at least another three or four to freeze along with our other three, and we will be well on our way to eventually completing our family!!! HOWEVER We got some great news at our 7 week ultrasound! Our little one is measuring right on track and had a heart beat of 132! Our RE said if it's over 100bpm at this point, there is a 96% chance the baby will make it to full term! I couldn't believe it and I hope its true

I shouldn't laugh, but I did at your DH's reluctance to take his blood pressure meds. My DH can be hard-headed/short-sighted like that sometimes too. And OMG, that crinone reaction sounds AWFUL. (I too sometimes lurk on the PAIF board, mostly for inspiration, when I'm having a REALLY bad day, lol.)

AFM: The doctor called yesterday and they've had a cancellation- I go in for the polypectomy on Monday!!! Which means, depending on how it goes and the recovery, I could be looking at a November FET.
I almost screamed when she asked if I was free, I was like: "Yes yes yes Oh my God, thank you so much!" I mean, after I cried on the phone with them when they told me it was going to be in December, they told me I was at the top of their cancellation list, but I didn't believe them. I thought they just said that to get me off the phone, because I was so hysterical, almost.
Anyway, I'm thrilled, and I feel very very thankful, and feel also a little like I'm actually a human to one of the 10 doctors I've seen through this, and not just a piece of meat, you know?
This process is not for the faint of heart! And so many ups and downs!
