  • helloworld9 Next Beta is tomorrow, Thursday. Wait, so reviewing your signature... did you get pregnant naturally? I am so excited about you seeing the heartbeat! What a huge step and relief!!

Bababatty Thank you for the update! I can hardly keep track of anything these days!

Magallyta Welcome to PUPO! I stick to a pregnancy type of diet after transfer. Limit caffeine, no soft cheeses, no rare meat, no lunch meat unless heated, no raw fish, etc...

My right boob aches from time to time. Has any of you experienced this after ER? I don't usually experience this so I'm a bit worried. I had my ER 9/1.
  • Congrats @southerngirl31!!

FX for an excellent report today @dragonette505!

@tinjp78 I have had sore boobs since the ER, much worse than I usually have. I assume it will resolve with AF.
  • @Momifbysea  I don't know if you know whether your RE does this during retrievals, since most women are asleep for them, but I was awake for mine and remember it. My RE places a quick urinary catheter before the retrieval in order to completely empty the bladder. There is always a risk of a UTI after a catheter placement so maybe you should ask your doctor about the pain.

@ReesaAnne16 it's def not a UTI feeling (Ive had those before). The pain isn't near where I go, but rather the lower left pelvic muscles. I'll go easy on lifting this weekend and maybe call next week if I still have the pain.
  • @Momifbysea I sometimes have somewhat soreness in the lower pelvis.... I think it's from sore ovaries plus they had to poke through your vagina to get to the ovaries. It usually resolves after about a week and a half or by af.
Nothing but bad news for me today... I'm so in the dumps I'll just post a screen grab of the email:

    Sigh.....
  • Momifbysea i was a mess after this last ER and did go back to the dr for a check to make sure all was ok in there...we did a urine test as well as I thought i too was having burning for a sec when releasing my pee as well.  My ovary was still quite inflamed which explained the discomfort.  You should have it checked out, couldn't hurt!  Don't jump to conclusions.  And of course hang out...I was serious when I said we should all stick around still we got those BFPs :)  And then we can move to the other boards ;)

Magallyta that means Momifbysea is foreshadowing for you, yes!!

dragonette505 I am certainly not happy with this update but also confused...sounds like you have at least 2 right?  The 2 that were early blasts wouldn't those get frozen??  sigh its time like these that i say fresh transfer!

@tinjp78 unfortunately ER can play havoc on our bodies and my RE said that sometimes your body doesn't bounce back till after AF sucks but that can be the case.

  • @dragonette505 I am so sorry to see that update. I'm really hoping the 2 that look good can make it to freeze tomorrow. Hugs to you friend and be good to yourself today.

  • Fellow Warriors:  Just got the update that the rest results of our Day 7 embie were abnormal/non-viable.  Honestly, it is just as well, as I cannot stomach the thought of doing all those shots again, especially since the stats are so low for a Day 7 embryo success.  Also, we have decided that we are done with IVF, as my recent experience was just so traumatic, and I think my body is telling me to stop.  So I am listening.  I will be signing off, but thinking of you all and wishing you nothing but success and happiness.
    Me: 41; DH: 45
Both married for the first time in our 40s; went straight to IVF after multiple fibroid surgeries
    (2/17) ER: #1:  agonist/antagonist protocol: 19 eggs; 8 mature; 13 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable)
    (4/17) ER: #2: same protocol but stimmed an extra 2 days:  16 eggs; 10 mature (5 more matured in lab); 13 fertilized; 2 6-day blasts (5AA & 6BA) & 2 7-day blasts (6BA & 5BB):  only 1 Day 6 6BA tested normal!
    FET on 7/10/17
    Beta on 7/21/17:  Negative:(
    (8/17) ER #3:  9 eggs; 6 mature; 3 fertilized; 1 7-day blast (6BA = abnormal/non-viable)
Developed severe complications (abdominal bleeding) following egg retrieval which required hospitalization, transfusion & emergency surgery.  Done with IVF.
