Hi ladies! Life update: my husband got a job in Atlanta and we're moving in weeks! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I think mostly bc I'll finally be in a city with an ikea lol. I hope everyone is doing well!
DH has a love hate relationship with Ikea. He said nothing for our new house is going to be from Ikea. Now I think we are leaning towards installing an entire Ikea kitchen. Lol. Ikea also has great Montessori-like toys for kids! You can't beat their prices but many things are a pain to put together. We've had bad luck with missing pieces or something being broken.
Haha! @Heathereaddy Congrats! And good luck! Atlanta is a great city, but mind the traffic!!
just about everything in our house is IKEA. DH had a fascination with breaking or taking apart things as a child. We figured inexpensive and rebuildable were good qualities
first REAL AF since BFP. Got it last week, it went away for 3 days, then came back with a vengeance - heavy and all the added extras of cravings, bloating, gas, back pain, and the exhaustion... The exhaustion almost makes me feel like I have a newborn again.
Congrats on the move @Heathereaddy !! I always have thought moving would be so exciting but I'm also the biggest homebody so if we ever move away from here I will be terrified haha. I've lived in the same general area my whole life!
They are building an IKEA five minutes away from my house, so I'm excited I don't have to drive 2.5 hours to get to one now! But also feel like traffic is about to get a lot worse in my city....
@FTM53 Omg it's not pretty when it comes back. I was feeling so free and easy not having it for so long, then BAM. Ugh.

I am really f-ing tired of DS and I being sick all of the time. He's going on a week today and tomorrow will be a week for me. Over it is really an understatement.
This was originally a food random... but I'm moving it to the feeding baby thread. Sooooo I'm just going to put this right here. How's that for random?
I hear you, @DachshundMomma. We've only battled one sickness but it was horrid! I would want to cry in a corner if it seemed like an endless cycle. It's so hard on them and you!! Fingers crossed that things start turning around for you and baby soon!!
If anyone is interested, Freshly picked is doing their semi annual sale. Only way I could justify buying them, lol. But in the way of shoes, they're the only ones she hasn't been able to take off herself!! I figure it'll be worth it once she starts walking, too.
We are TTC and I just got my period. I'm pretty sad and have cried about it a few times, but I keep trying to tell myself that whatever baby we are meant to have is the one I want and it's worth waiting for we got pregnant with Q pretty quickly so I was expecting the same with this one... I guess this is a lesson in patients, which ill need with a newborn and a toddler.
I finally see little white lines under Nat's gums....hoping they push thru soon as she's been crusty and had a runny nose lately. Only took 10.5 months lol
@arhodes6 we conceived very quickly too. I thought when we try from #2 it would be the same (we haven't yet) but know that it may not. Don't get discouraged...enjoy the process of getting there lol
hope everyone and their LOs are feeling better soon! C has only had a baaaad sickness once & it broke my heart.
@schaze we are 10 days away from C turning 11 months old & still toothless too! Glad we aren't the only ones. I sure feel like an idiot for thinking he was getting ready to cut teeth back around 4 months HAHA
I have never been to Ikea! But it sounds like some place that I could easily blow a lot of money I don't have so that's probably a good thing.
@Heathereaddy congrats to your husband on the new job & to you both on the move!
I know I have mentioned before that C's dad and I are going through a divorce. Our custody hearing was this morning so of course all week I had been worrying about it. He didn't even show up to the hearing so I got everything I asked for & it is such a huge relief to have it all in writing. I finally feel like I can breathe a little.
Now all I need is a W from the Pens tonight. 7 1/2 minutes to go...ahhh
@jjtruffles so wonderful that everything went so well for you!
I suck at getting anything accomplished lately lol I just now read through like 2 weeks of stuff to get caught up, teething and leap has had a tiny man not wanting detached from Mama. Ya'll, we went from zero teeth to four teeth in twenty days! And he's starting to take steps unaided. Sorry to hear about sick mommies and babies! That's the worst. I'm so excited right now because DH calls in the morning about a great new job. Fingers crossed, we really need this! He's also randomly started talking about having another baby, buying a double stroller now so we won't have to when we have 2 etc. Guys, it took 8 YEARS to get pregnant with L (and we were told that wouldn't happen. Lots of losses, only half a reproductive system and much more). Oh and did I mention I haven't even gotten my first pp period and we AREN'T TTC right now. I don't understand him... And this after months of saying he thinks L is enough/not sure he could love another baby as much as L etc.
I knew S had been working on her top 2 teeth and one is through and the other mostly through but in the tub at my parent's house this weekend I saw that her 3rd bottom tooth cut! I was so focused on her top teeth I didn't even notice she was working on her bottom one!
We went to the aquarium in KY this weekend and S was more interested in the other kids than the fish...go figure.
My hubs is putting in new tile in 3/4 of the main floor of our house and having a toddler in that mess is a nightmare. I went to cinci with her Fri-Mon which was a huge help but now that we are back to a work week I had to bring her home and the progress on the floor will be much slower. Ugh.
I was in unprepared for when E started walking and I have been borrowing shoes from friends. I went to buy her some shoes because she outgrew them, and it turns out her feet are insanely wide! She will not fit in stride rite or pediped. The soft sole shoes kind of fit, but she slides around on hard floors and it leaves deep lines on her ankles.
Does anyone know what brands work for babies with wide feet? The only ones that have worked so far are the carters step program shoes.

@holly142 - we said the same thing!! And now we have a new IKEA couch, table, and bookcase, haha
