^^^^ so I didn't get active early enough in the pregnancy to learn/figure out the significance of trolls. Can someone explain? Or is it just because it's a fun gif?
A few days ago I decided to put S in the tub for her bath, rather than in the infant tub which sits in the tub...she HATES it. Cries to the point of big heaving ugly cries. Is this a common thing? It seems young for her to think she will go down the drain with the water...Last night I got in the tub with her to show her it is ok. She did much better but could tell she was still uneasy. We'll see how tonight goes w/o me in the tub...
@kmurdock925 Baby J has been crying through bath time since we moved. I can't figure out what it is. We originally had her take a bath in a laundry basket, but we bought one of those inflatable duck baths thinking maybe our bathtub was too big. She still cries. I may try to jump in with her tonight. Otherwise I hope she'll adjust soon.
Omg why are there soooooo many nosey a-holes out there? Today while shopping for some groceries and what not at Walmart I had N in the cart where children normally go buckled in. Some nosey old hag decided to tell me she was "too young and tiny" to be sitting in the cart and she should be in her car seat still. So because Nathalie is tiny (15.5lbs) I already knew she assumed Nat to be much younger than she was. I proceeded to ask her what age and size she thought was appropriate to have a child in the cart. She rambled on about whatever the eff she was on about and I'll I gathered was that she said at just a few months old she could fall thru the leg holes....lmfao. Well, imagine the look on her (and others around us) face when I told her she was 10 months old and small for her size, not likely to "fall through the leg hole" and that her ignorant nosey opinion should be kept the her effing self. Lol she looked at me shocked and I then asked "anymore effing advice you got?" She walked away real quick haha. The people around me were laughing, I felt a little bad for going off so hard but I'm so tired of people who don't even know me telling me she "looks to small to do that" ... leave me alone! Lol
@babycakesday E has a really hard time with bath time at my parents' house. No idea why, it's not much different from our tub at home. Hopefully whatever's bugging her will resolve so you have tear-free baths again!
@kmurdock925 L doesn't cry in the tub usually but rather when I have to use the shower head to clean out DH's stray chest hairs that have stayed behind in the tub after his shower ::insert gag here::: he screams bloody murder....I don't know if it's the sound of the shower head or his fathers left behind hairs but either way, i'd be scared too I've stopped using the baby tub holder too since LO seemed to not want to recline in it and sits up okay. He cries when I drain the tub too because the fun is over and the bath toys go back into the shower caddy
@schaze Congratulations! That's one hell of a birthday surprise lol
L did this for a bit, so I put a nice thick towel in the button of the tub and stuck him in there with toys while I showered. I make sure he gets water on him to stay warm, then quickly get him clean/washed up after I finished washing. He adores it and no longer cries or tries to crawl out of the tub!
AJ loves his baths! I started him in the tub with me holding him to get him used to it. We'd splash, play, and I'd poor little cups of water on his chest and back. Then I'd support him while he "swam". Once he was able to sit up by himself, I'd fill the tub with just a few inches of water. Now he likes his bath so much that he's learned how to close the drain and often we will go back and forth with me starting to drain the tub, then he stops it, then I open it, then he closes it...and we laugh.
I did try giving him a bath in my garden tub and he had a hard time with it. I realized afterward that my tub has no grippy stuff on the bottom like the tub/shower combo in his bathroom.
Biggest isdue sue I have is that he hates thanking the water on his head to rinse his hair. I try to do it quick and in the middle of bath time so he can play more afterwards.
M also loves bath time. She plays for 10-15 minutes then gets washed. She's not a fan of hair rinsing but otherwise it's quite pleasant. She's super happy playing with her toys now and isn't trying to stand nearly as often, so I've actually been able to wipe down the counters and clean the mirror while she plays (tub is within arms reach if she needed me). 2 birds, 1 stone.
So I put S back in her infant tub last night (the insert for her to lay on has been out for quite some time. She sits in it like it is a mini bath tub) and it was a success! We are back to happy playful baths! Thank goodness!! She figured out how to spin around and make it like a whirlpool tub, hahaha. I'm ok with the infant tub as long as she fits and is happy. It saves water yet there is plenty in there to wash her!
S loves bath time and gets mad when we take her out of the water. She's still in the baby bathtub but she's been moving in it quite a bit now so we might have to make the move to the regular tub. On Sunday night she moved and put her head under the faucet while I had it on to fill a cup to rinse her hair - apparently we have no issues with our head in water! I think she wants to go back to the water park!
Soooo, at our 9 month check up S was 23 lbs 14 oz so I think at 10 months it is safe to say she is at least 24 lbs. Lets be real...2 oz shy of 24 lbs could be a poop. I just realized that the weight limit on her jumper is 25 lbs...and she still loves it Any thoughts/experiences with the weight limits on these things and if there is any wiggle room?
@kmurdock925 I wouldn't push the weight limit...she might be able to "throw her weight" and either bounce out or topple it. You might want to look into mini trampolines or a mini indoor bounce house.
Speaking of weight and height limits, I was looking at my infant car seat limits, the weight limit is 4-35 lbs, but the height is only 30 inches! She is already 28 inches and is growing like a weed, this just baffles my mind, she is about to outgrow her car seat.

THANK YOU for saying this! It never occurred to me that M would hit the height because her weight is so low (16 pounds currently). She's got 2 inches until she maxes out. Time to stat researching car seats... again.
Car seats are seriously one of my biggest stressors...I hated trying to register for one while pregnant and I know I'm going to hate trying to figure out a bigger one even more! S is currently 27 inches & 24 pounds so we're close
I splurged for the Britax clicktight and I seriously LOVE it. It is SO easy to use and install. She is super comfy in it. I'm sure I looked like a wack-a-doo but when I picked it out I literally pulled the display models down and put her in them to see which ones she looked the most comfy in. Some brands/models she just looked miserable in. I'm so glad I did that.

TROLL C.O.N.G.R.A.T.S!!!
@LDSJM123 Just gifs for when people be trollin'. We haven't had to use them in awhile though, which is a real shame because I love them!
@ashgee18 don't feel bad. She deserved it.
