@Bailey8809 sorry you had a scare! Bleeding is always so nerve wracking. Glad to hear your doctor said everything sounds ok
I also have to say I'm VERY impressed with all you ladies who've mentioned DTD. Pretty sure it's been a good 2 months for us, and I have no intentions of opening up shop until I'm desperate to evict this baby sometime in about 6 weeks. Wife of the year over here!
Oh I'm right there with ya! I'm closed for business and have been for a while. Probably my some cobwebs up there by now!
@nda_roxybabe I have this stiff rubber massage ball that has been a LIFE SAVER for my RLS. It always starts acting up around 8pm when we're still on the couch watching Netflix or reading. I'll put the ball under my calf on the ottoman, cross my other leg over it, and roll my leg around somewhat hard on the ball. It feels amazing and seems to bust it up for me
@swe2 Do you know when they were purchased? Maybe they had the items shipped directly from wherever you registered. My shower was last weekend and we got gifts sent to us directly from Target pretty much this whole week. If you're waiting on individuals to send them, I definitely wouldn't ask. I agree with @KMD1106. I would probably just buy the items myself and return the gift when it comes.
Also,I just read your freckle comment and I have them too! I've noticed the backs of my legs have tons of freckles that were never there before. I hope they go away.
@livin541 we did it yesterday for the first time in a while. I had painful contractions afterward that lasted for several hours. Not worth it. Sorry H.

DH would be happy if it had only been 2 months! I think maybeeee we've DTD 3 times since I've been pregnant.

@livin541 yeah add me to the "closed for business club". The last time we dtd was in December, and like immediately after he told me basically there was nothing sexy about pregnancy. Oh gee thanks. Then between his travels and a bout of man cold (and a varicose vein on my vulva! ) our bedroom is basically a sexual desert. Sigh.
I cant stand DD today. Just pregnant grumpiness, but it will potentially be a looooong week. Or two weeks.
It's like Christmas over here! My breastpump came in the mail and after having to purchase my own breastpump for both DD1 and DD2 I'm so amazed by everything that my insurance paid for!
Spectra S1 (battery operated with AC adapter) 4 bottles 6 flanges and 2 sets of tubing! 150 breastmilk storage bags Kindee Twist Adapter 200 Kindee Storage Bags
The Kindee system wasn't something I was even interested in but now that I have all these storage bags I'm definitely going to try it out!
@hp_momma who did you go through? Directly through your insurance company or through a medical equipment co? Aeroflow unfortunately does not work with my insurance. I'm starting to think no one does. And since no one at my insurance can give me a straight answer about whether or not I'm even covered... we'll just have to see I guess! Ugh. I wish they would just tell me one way or the other definitively. Everyone I talk to has a slightly different answer.
Can someone explain to me why some teething toys have squeakers in them!? I was gifted one of those sophie giraffe teething toys, and I was baffled when I unpacked it and discovered it made noise. Why oh why would you want your baby to squeak? I don't even like my dog to have those toys (also, my dog understandably expected it was her toy).
@hp_momma my spectra came yesterday! Like you, my insurance covers nothing with my previous two. I'm jealous of all of the bags and accessories that you got with it!
Random question: anyone have a rec for a good baby book? Although I've been less than stellar at keeping up with my son's, I would like to at least attempt to fill one out for this babe too.
I've spent more time than I am willing to admit looking at baby books. I think I'm going to get one of these. They look simple and cute. The one I got for my ds had way too much stuff to fill out.
@starphish18 the insert in the box of sophie says the squeak is to teach them cause and effect. Honestly my son never made it squeak just ate the head or legs. @ShadeofGreen816 did you check with yummy mummy .com? My insurance gave me one phone number who only offered horrible pump options. Went to yummy mummy got me a spectra
@starphish18: I kind of liked the Sophie for that reason. It's supposed to engage all five senses.
Kind of related (to the spots on the giraffe being a sight stimulus b/c of the contrasting light/dark): Apparently the reason our nipples darken is for the same reason! So baby has a better chance of locating them! I think I knew that already, but just heard it again. So interesting. Our bodies are amazing.
I forgot which thread it was where we chatted about safe sleeping spaces for the LOs so I will just bring it up here again. I just set up the pack n play today with the option to raise the "bed" part. Those who are more knowledgeable about safe sleep practice... thumbs up or down? We're in a multilevel home and this is currently set up on the first floor with the intention of being used for diaper changes and hopefully naps.
Thanks for the vote of confidence @NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot and @nda_roxybabe! It'll be the raised bed part that LO would nap in. The changing pad can be folded upward when needed

I went through BabyPavillion! I'm not sure if they work only with Tricare or other insurance companies. Another one to check is Edgepark or The Breastfeeding Shop. All of them worked with my insurance company but BabyPavillion was the one that would let me upgrade at no cost to the Spectra S1!

You know how some cars have heated/vented seats that warm OR cool? I would KILL for a vented bed that would blow cool air on me from below. I'm basically nekkid with a box fan 2 feet from the bed, and I'm still on fiya!
@bacorrea The sides aren't breathable and it's not a flat, firm surface. It's called a "napper," which isn't a regulated term. The bassinet level is fine, but you have to take the changer/napper off before using it.
What does everyone think of doing a birth stories/congratulations thread weekly? It would keep the randoms thread from getting overrun with congrats especially as we get closer to May when a lot more babies will be here!
@PartiallyDomesticated I think you are right on it being how baby is positioned. The nights my waist and belly hurt when I lay on a certain side are also the nights that baby wakes me up from moving around. Definitely annoying.
Re: Randoms and Questions 4.10 - 4.14
I use the Alpha Ball: https://www.amazon.com/Yoga-Tune-Alpha-Ball-Miller/dp/B00NP280XY/ref=sr_1_3_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1491951879&sr=1-3&keywords=yoga+tune+up+balls
I know it's kinda pricey but it's amazing for the RLS, any cramps, tight hips, and busting up knots.
Also,I just read your freckle comment and I have them too! I've noticed the backs of my legs have tons of freckles that were never there before. I hope they go away.
