@bacorrea price comparing ham sounds like something my mom would do too.
@chocolatelemons if your OB isnt concerned then I wouldnt worry. If you're curious then I'd ask if thats normal. My measurements are usually a +/- 1 week, depending on how LO is positioned. I also had an u/s at 36 weeks with my first to check fluid level as well.
@emilyalso I wear low rise so no issues but I do like to fold down my full panel pants and they will end up sliding down after a bit. Its either that or an itchy belly. Whatever, as long my shirt covers everything.
@starphish18 I couldn't tell you if that is normal pregnancy related stuff. Have you figured out if its a certain food thats triggering it or is it pretty random? I tend to need to go after some coffee with sweets.
@Kipperoo oh my goodness, I cant believe you have one more day! Enjoy your day
@RainyDays86 ugh what a day. I hope monitoring goes well. FWIW, I have contractions after DTD and they are ahout 20-30 secs long every few mins for about a half hour then they taper off. If we do pull out method then I dont get contractions, so thats our plan until I'm at least 38 weeks. It could very well be a coincidence but we dtd one night and DD came the next day, a couple days shy of 39 weeks.
Not much going on here. We have started painting the nursery over the weekend. DH still need to do the part by the ceiling. And i picked up an used dutailer glider for a whopping 40 bucks.
@Kipperoo good luck with the induction. When I got my steroid shots for the baby i didn't experience an increase in appetite. I had trouble sleeping those nights though. I certainly have had an increased appetite these last few weeks like I cannot get enough food. I am 35 weeks this week, I can't remember which week your in. @RainyDays86 so sorry you guys got into an accident. I hope everything continues to test well with baby today
@Jens_Hoes I would think if the baby is moving normally and you don't have any other symptoms, it should be fine. You could always call just to check, but normal movement is always a good sign.
@pshaortao That's the weird thing; no, I haven't pinpointed any specific food or type of food. That's what is confusing me so much. It seems completely random that something just doesn't agree with me. I'll chalk it up to weird pregnancy stuff, since usually I have an iron stomach. I think I was just a bit concerned being that diarrhea can be an indicator for some of the onset of labor. But, hasn't happened yet, so I assume that's not the case at this point.
@RainyDays86 hope everything is fine! @lrwardrop my favorite commercial these days is the swiffer one about the hair stylist. His facial expressions OMG lol.
@ShadeofGreen816 congrats on being nearly finished with your schooling! What an accomplishment and even more so to complete is during pregnancy!
@mcvgal keeping my fingers crossed that little girl will continue to grow well and will get to go home this week!
i am having the underwear issue as well. I have been wearing the same style since my belly started getting large and interestingly some pairs are rolling down and some are still staying put. It's so frustrating when im wearing a dress and they roll down cause it's so awkward to try and roll them back up!
@Kipperoo Aaah!! Have the best day today, and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!
@RainyDays86 sorry you're having a rough day. It's annoying I'm sure, but good that your OB is being overcautious.
Thomas was allowed to try to nurse yesterday. He slept on my boob (not in his mouth. As a pillow.) and then when he started waking up he finally got a drop of milk in his mouth... And acted like I'd tried to get him to eat a whole slice of pizza! Coughing and sputtering and acting crazy. So... It may be a little while before he's ready for that!
@starphish18 I have been wondering the same thing lately. But you can add a gurgley stomach to my list. It just started on Thursday or Friday and plan to bring it up to my doctor. I was also thinking about the indicator for onset of labor, especially with all these new May babies, but I've read quite a few ladies say theirs started WEEKS (at least 4) before they went into labor. So until my doctor says anything different tomorrow (or someone today), I'm totally chalking it up to a unconcerning pregnancy thing.
My whole body aches. I wish I could take off every limb, have them all cracked, then put back together and get a big old massage. My hands and feet especially.
@starphish18 the same thing happens to me at least once a week lately. I assumed it was my Crohn's acting up, but now I'm happy to hear it may just be pregnancy? Sorry you're going through the same thing. It's super annoying.
@RainyDays86 what a way to start your week! I'm glad the contractions are slowing down.
My whole body aches. I wish I could take off every limb, have them all cracked, then put back together and get a big old massage. My hands and feet especially.
They leave you intact but I can not say enough great things about massages at this point in pregnancy. And don't skimp on 60 minutes, go the full 90. SO worth it. I have one on my list of things to schedule along with my last hair appointment, brows, etc.

I've meaning to get one, and I think it's time. I need to get my hair and nails done, might as well throw in a massage. I'm also going to start weekly chiro appointments. My scoliosis issues cause such pain and I dont want to be in labor and overdue for the chiro.

That sounds pretty incredible. I want that for my hips and back especially.
@jens_hoes Baby is pretty well cushioned in there, so you're most likely fine! Any changes in symptoms = call. FWIW, I get elbowed by DD all the time and I'm constantly having to tell her to stop squishing the baby. He just moves around a little after and settles down.
@Kipperoo good luck tomorrow! Hope you are enjoying one of those bottles of wine you bought by next weekend.
@RainyDays86 now that's a crappy Monday! At least it started out being awesome.
@mcvgal Hope your LO continues to gain and you can take her home this week!
@ShadeofGreen816 Wow! That is amazing how you have kept up with everything while pregnant. I'm sure finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is a relief. Congratulations, what a big achievement.
@Jens_Hoes as long as baby is moving you should be ok. I hit the counter really had and then my big dog kicked me in the belly all this weekend. I was afraid at first but LO is moving just fine and I haven't had any bleeding or other symptoms.
I don't know why but since being pregnant I have so many freckles all over my body. I thought I had a piece of chocolate on my boob so I was really rubbing it to come off. Nope another freckle! Like all over my arms, legs and my chest. Will they go away?
DH and I had a productive weekend. My rents came down and installed a robotic lawn mower (like a roomba for your lawn) so hopefully we never have to mow again which I'm excited for. We also did tons of yard work which felt awesome until we got done and I could barely move. Going to be super unproductive today to recover.

@SWE2, me too! I have a small mole on my chest that is way darker. Also, I have little freckles popping up on my hands! Dr Google said all should go back to normal after delivery.

@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot it's a Husqvarna Automower. You have the dealer put a wire 2" in the ground around your property, trees and plant beds and just let it go. Like a roomba, it has a charging station and will now even in the rain. You just let it go. If it is dry then it won't go and if it's rained more it will go in the areas that need it more frequently. So far works pretty well, it's still learning our yard. Figured with baby I won't have time to mow and my dad is a dealer so was a win win.
Happy Monday ladies! How is it that Easter is already this weekend?! Wasn't it just Christmas?!?!
@Kipperoo thinking of you! FX for a smooth delivery, can't wait to hear an update! @emilyalso yes my panties roll down all the time it's annoying and uncomfortable. @RainyDays86 oh no! Rough start to your day. Hope it gets better! @mcvgal yay baby Lucia is doing well, hope she gets to go home soon
@emilyalso I am SO over my damn panty selection. Every week the same 10 panties come out of the wash and go onto my body. Target & Gap Body seem to have the most comfy when it comes to waistband for my belly at least!
@Kipperoo so so excited for you. I hope your pampering day is fully indulgent and your little baby makes a smooth entrance!
@RainyDays86 someone hit me last week, too. $3,000 in damage and dealing with insurance/car repair/rental is the pits on top of being worried about the baby It was a total WTF moment. I'm sorry this happened to you amidst everything else...Sending hugs your way!
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot holy crap with this lawn mover idea. We are in an apartment right now but when I was 16 I used to mow our lawn in rural Indiana. I ran over a mouse (I was also a vegetarian at the time) and refused to ever mow the lawn again, it was so traumatic. I will be looking into this if we can ever afford a place with a lawn here in California...
@SWE2 I believe it has to do with the pigmentation darkening in pregnancy. I've notice a few on my stomach that must typically be very faint. I just googled with weekend and I think I have a little Melasma going on.
@emilyalso - I swear I can't keep anyone of my underwear on, it was especially bad yesterday while wearing a dress and not having pants to help keep them up.
@starphish18 - I've been having a lot of episodes exactly like you described. I'll get really bad pains and then have to go running for the bathroom. I haven't been able to pin point it to any food either. I was thinking either just typical pregnancy issue or I am taking a magnesium supplement to help keep my blood pressure lower and so I thought maybe it was from that.
@Kipperoo- Good luck tomorrow! Hope you enjoy your day with your mom. Also I when DS has steroid shots for some breathing issues he is also super hungry for days afterwards.
@mcvgal - Hope your little one keeps gaining and gets to go home this week!
@RainyDays86 - That sounds like an awful morning! Glad the accident wasn't worse!
We are all packed up and ready to go! Hopefully will get our induction scheduled for next week when we see doctor on Wednesday.
I'm freaking out about childcare. Our 2 top options fizzed out. One is our church and the other a private lady who watched DS. She has never had availability issues and just this summer she has taken on a bunch of older siblings who are out on break so she can't take DD. Found out our church daycare is only in session when school is in session...
I've called two other places and no availability until December! I don't know what to do....
Note to self. When pulling the waterproof mattress cover out of the washer, make sure it hasn't collected water like a bucket on the, oh, you know, waterproof side. Happy Monday!
@fbmandy55 oh no that is not good! Any other places that could be a valid option? I know its hard this late but there may be nice centers around that have openings?
@mcvgal very exciting to hear about your little girl's weight gain! FX you're right and she gets to go home this week!
@pshaortao I usually get contractions after sex too, but these were a lot more painful and lasted a lot longer (still going, although they've slowed down). No one here seems too worried about them though so I guess it's not a big deal?
@Squirtgun that is really cute. Poor little guy but still adorable.
@SWE2 that is amazing! I may need to look into that...
@sweaterboots it is such a hassle. Luckily it really is no big deal, the damage is very minor and can definitely wait to be repaired. It was totally our (DH's) fault so I can't even be mad at the other person.
Baby is still doing great. I'm just bored and soooo hungry. Should be able to leave in an hour or so.
@fbmandy55 oh no! The childcare thing is so so stressful! I hope you can find someone or somewhere soon! Have you tried care.com? It worked well for us. I know in some areas there are in-home daycares on care.com.
@fbmandy55, ugh!! Daycare was the most stressful part about having DS for me. I'm a HUGE planner and wanted that locked up way in advance, but due to wait lists for centers and/or homes not knowing until it gets closer when/if they'll have openings, we ended up not finding anything with an opening until DS was already a few weeks old. But it was awesome because we had four options open up (two centers and two in-homes), so we had lots of choices and found one we loved. Hopefully, you find the same thing that as you get a bit closer, and you find something perfect.
@fbmandy55 how soon do you need child care? Hopefully something will turn up! Have you thought of a nanny? A lot of people here have had success with care.com
@SWE2 that sounds amazing! This probably falls under FFFC, but I'm terrified of our lawn mower. Growing up, mowing and shoveling snow were "blue" jobs in our house, so the first time I used one was when DH and I moved out of our condo to the country when I was 29. Six years later and I'm still not used to it. I hate how I feel like I can't control it. A roomba for my lawn would be incredible.
@mcvgal How exciting! Hope everything continues to go well this week.
@Jens_Hoes I'm sure it's fine especially if you haven't noticed anything different, but it never hurts to call your doctor and it may ease your mind a bit.
Question regarding gifts. We bought the rest of the registry stuff using our completion discount. There are a few gifts that were purchased by others and haven't been sent yet. How do I go about politely asking them to ship? Some are things that will be used right away like the boon grass and diaper bag.

That's tough! I honestly think of you need it right away, you might have to buy it and return the gift when it comes. Unless you can figure out who bought it and it's someone really close to you, I don't think there's a polite way to ask.

@chocolatelemons I've been measuring behind fundal height for a few appointments and they get me in for growth monitoring every 4 weeks or so, last time baby was measuring in the 38 percentile so as long as he looks about the same next week they are happy. If they were concerned they would u/s you right away.
@Kipperoo I hope you have an amazing day!! Good luck tomorrow!
