Dh's sister just announced that she is pregnant with her seventh child. Seriously everyone in my family is having babies right now. Seven due dates within six months, including all of my and dh's adult siblings (not my teenage brother lol) and two cousins. Two babies born in the last couple weeks, five more on the way soon. Plus all of our families already have toddlers and/or preschoolers, too. It's going to be crazy around here!
Ya'll.... I'm having a tough time with DH being in Jamaica with EVERYONE for SIL's wedding (literally 60 people are there.) I'm playing tough, but feeling really left out. I'm trying to look on the bright side, thinking about this last alone time that I will have, well, in forever.... but last night I totally cried after talking with him. I totally had two weekend girls trips last year to Texas and Colorado, so I feel bad for feeling bad.
Thank you so much everyone. I just got everything with our health insurance squared away, so that's a relief. DH has leads on a few jobs and his boss gave him a really awesome letter of recommendation. I think we've learned our lesson about start up tech companies. It's been a great company as far as being really family oriented, but DH and I agreed that he needs something solid and stable from now on for our kids sake.
As far as my family memebers go, I'm pretty devastated. My SFIL lived here in Dallas, so I will at least get to go to the funeral, but my cousins funeral is in North Carolina and traveling is a no go right now. I'm just trying to keep my stress levels in check for my pregnancy and DS. He is such a sensitive kid and I don't want him picking up on any stress right now. Thank you guys for letting me vent in here. It's been reallyhelpful and I appreciate all of the support.
@erinh84 I'm sorry for your losses and DH's news. My H transitioned from the start up world last year after several years of instability and it's been much better. Hopefully he lands something soon that is ultimately better for your family.
DH and I were meant to go see the Avett Brothers in concert tonight, but the show was cancelled. Pretty bummed but also sort of happy because now DH is putting together the nursery dresser that came in today. He also put together the glider while I was traveling for work this week, so the nursery is filling up!
Not sure if we want to discuss everyone posting birth announcements now since 'it's getting real.' I've stalked other BMBs and some do individual threads and some just post in the announcement thread.
Does anyone care how we do this? Personally, I'm fine with either, I have zero preference.
I also don't really care if we do one master thread or individual ones. The master thread is nice to have everything in one spot, but seems like things could get congested with people's well wishes. The individual threads are nice but could start clogging the front page. All this to say, I'm bad at decisions.
How about both? Master thread and then people that have a long birth story to share can start an individual thread if they close. Also, holy crap that April story.....
I like when there is one thread where everyone announces and we can just love it to show our well wishes or tag someone in randoms with specific feedback or questions for that person. I felt I missed birth stories last time because I was busy with a newborn and couldn't check as much whereas if it was in one thread I could catch up all at once.
I also like the one master list where you can only "love it" and then people could post individual more detailed birth stories where people can comment.

Oh my word, that April birth story. I think I will pass on that experinece....as if I had a choice.

I'm ok with the master thread. The ONLY thing is that it's going to get long and random people that don't participate will post (because AWs). But I'm pretty sure I'll survive it and have plenty of time in the middle of the night to get through them.

The premise of the master thread is that no one comments, just love-its.
I started the master thread, just in case and because I want to get it pinned asap, as it can take forever for BGs to pin. If we choose to do individuals, I can just turn it to a gif party.
I like the master thread with love-it's only. If you have an early delivery or extraordinary story, it would warrant it's own thread. There will be a point where we will have multiple births a day. It will get messy. Can we congratulate and discuss in the weekly randoms? I don't really have a strong opinion, I'm just throwing ideas out there.
I like the master thread, but I do think anybody should feel free to post their own, more detailed, thread also if they want. I feel like if there's any moment to be an AW, it's this. Also, are there any of those pinned threads that we don't need anymore? We seem to have more than most other boards I lurk on.
I think we should do either one master thread with love tits only, or a weekly thread as @delujm0 suggested. Separate threads is going to get crazy, fast. Especially for those who willl be navigating one-handed.
