the post office was screwing me over on delivering a package so when i saw the mailman pull up at my job I ran outside to meet him. that was 30 minutes ago. I still can't cant catch my breath. This shit is getting old
I'm just impressed that you ran. Fast waddle is my top speed right now, and only in short bursts.
@pootsdragon I gained much more rapidly in my last month or so of pregnancy with DD#1, and I think that's normal as baby puts on more fat, etc. It's all for a good reason! No worries.
I'm starting to get period like cramps and sometimes they're really painful and I have to stop whatever I'm doing. Also my pelvic pain gets worse and worse, sometimes I feel like I can't walk.

I've been having the period like cramps today on and off as well. When they get super intense it kind of makes me catch my breath. Think a call to the doctor is in order?

I thought about it but I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday and might wait until then. But if it gets worse I'll definitely call.
@shanparadise@Shelby00519 I have had these on an off and told my midwife about it yesterday. She said if it's paired with BH then you should call, otherwise it's probably stretching and prep. But if you are worried at all just call. No harm in asking!
I haven't been having any period-like cramps but I do have a ton of BH, especially in the evenings. They seem to hit me between 7 and 8pm every night and I'll get several in a row and then it'll stop.
I think that consistency or progression in any of these symptoms is what they worry about but it's definitely better to be safe and call if you're concerned.
First trimester exhaustion is totally back too. I don't know how I'm going to handle working up until the baby comes! Every day when I get home from work I fall asleep on the couch waiting for DH to come home and then I'm a zombie for the rest of the evening.
@sboston06 first trimester everything seems back! Exhaustion, hunger, nausea with the occasional dry heave first thing in the morning until I eat.... No Bueno!
I had the period-like cramps for the first time yesterday at work. They lasted a couple hours but each cramp was looong. Like 5+ mins and then it would fade and come back a few mins later. I started googling early labour symptoms but nothing else fit so I just assumed they were normal/ some form of braxton hicks. It finally tapered off and hasn't happened again so I'm not really worried. I agree with PPs though, @shanparadise, with twins I'd still make the call.
I've never had a date and am wondering if they're worth trying. Can anyone compare them to something else?
They taste like magic - IMO They're chewy and kind of have a caramel/honey taste to them. They look like giant raisins, basically, but they are much meatier.
Also... bacon wrapped dates are a magical thing.
My DH makes bacon wrapped dates for friend, family gatherings and they fly! So easy and so good! Sweet and salty and now I want them!

I've been having crazier and crazier amounts of BH contractions the last few days. To prove I wasn't crazy, I kept track of them for a 12 hr period and counted 27. TWENTY SEVEN between 8:30am and 8:30 pm without any major changes to my level of activity. Not sure of this is normal but I haven't found anything online that correlates an increase in BH directly with impending labor. So I just deal with it. My doc doesn't seem alarmed.
No period cramps though. I think that would alarm me and I would call just to be sure.
@theshannondee I'm with you! I thought I was finally over the first trimester "blah" feeling all the time... and now its all hitting me again like a ton of bricks on top of the very frequent pelvic pain.
Nausea in the morning, and then heartburn most of the day that only gets worse as I try to drink all the water my doctor has told me I need.
I can't sleep... It's not a back/hip pain thing, it's a I'm awake at 4am for no good reason thing. It's a laying in bed trying to nap when my toddler is napping but ugh I cannot sleep thing... Hormones? With?!
I had to put when my last period was when I filled out my hospital's pre reg paperwork. I had no clue, so I just took my due date and went backwards 40 weeks.
I just feel heavier somehow. Like he dropped lower but my whole body feels it. Plus nasty booby leakage has turned white, which didn't happen with my first until my milk came in. Is that normal?
We went to the river walk today to walk Around and watch some of a band playing. It was fun but I felt like a gigantic whale-cow the whole time. I lagged behind my husband and kids because my hips and pelvis hurt so badly and my shortness of breath was horrible. After we left we got ice cream and now I'm nauseated. I'm finally At home laying with my feet propped up and slightly depressed.

Is anyone else getting really bad RLP again? I didn't have a ton of it in 2nd tri and bam! I move slightly and feel like I just ripped my body in half haha
@Backbypopulardemand YES. I kid you not, I bent over yesterday and I thought my pelvis ripped in two pieces. It was horrifying. Pretty much any movement is dangerous.
@Backbypopulardemand Yes! Getting out of bed is killing me. Either I feel like my pelvis is going to tear in two or the weight of my belly feels like it's going to rip off. My mission today is to find a way out of bed with out pain
@Weville getting out of bed is RIDICULOUS. I have to kind of vault myself up and hope.for the best, swinging my legs with enough force to carry me forward haha, otherwise I fall back again. It's unfair really, getting out of bed is awful, yet I have to do it like four times a night at least to pee. Pregnancy irony blows.
Re: May Symptoms Thread
ETA: but since it's early and you're carrying twins, you might want to call to be safe.

And for the love of God can I stop peeing every 10 minutes?! This is worse than a UTI.

July16 JULY siggy challenge
So I guess my symptom is "no shame".
Or self control.
Biggest complaint is the constant pelvic pain.
P.s. is it July yet??
