Thanks @JWilsonKC! I'm with you on the eating. My co-workers don't know I'm pregnant, but I feel like you only need to watch me eat every two hours to guess! We transferred a boy and a girl, so we have one of each
1 embryo & heartbeat detected. Measuring right on target at 6 wks + 3 days. RE did see a 2nd sac, but it was empty. Which means they probably both implanted but 1 stopped growing.
****Siggy TW**** natural pregnancy: 2008 Me: 28 (Hypothyroid), DH: 35 Together since: 2010 Married: 2013 TTC: 2013 Infertility: severe MFI, low AMH (0.5) Met RE: January 2016 ER: 3/14 (4 follies, 6 eggs retrieved, 2 fertilized) fresh 3dt of 2 embryos= BFP (1 implanted) EDD w/ baby boy= 12/6/16
My ultrasound was a mix of good news and sad news today. Our 5.5 week ultrasound showed four sacs- 1- single fetal pole 2- single fetal pole 3- two fetal poles in one gestational sac 4- no fetal pole
Our 6.5 week ultrasound confirmed four heartbeats and babies C and D as mono/mono twins. Baby A in a gestational sac Baby B in a gestational sac Babies C/D in a gestational sac together Sac #4 turned into nothing
Today is 8 week, 3 days and Babies A and B are growing as normal with heartbeats of 168 and 161. She didn't detect a heartbeat in either C or D today. They measured at 7 weeks, 5 days so it appears they stopped growing last week. They had grown since our last ultrasound so the tech could see them better, but had a very had time seeing two babies and it nearly appeared as one. She said they could have been conjoined twins by what she was seeing, but obviously no way to tell for sure. Mono/mono twins happen with a very late split of the embryo after the placenta is already formed and how conjoined happens. Needless to say, we have learned A LOT from our doctors and nurses! I'm very thankful to have two growing babies, but probably even more scared of losing them now.
@JWilsonKC Wow. What an emotional day for you. Sorry for your losses. Glad A & B are still growing strong. That is my fear with our baby. Out of the 6 eggs, only 2 fertilized, put both back in and only 1 survived. In the back of my mind I worry about this one surviving too. DH thinks I'm crazy, but I'm just trying to be realistic.

@vssbrm thank you. Considering the odds were against my DH and I conceiving, we're thrilled either way. Not sure exactly yet, but RE says I can stop PIO May 1st, so I'm thinking 9-10 weeks at the latest.

@capps42613 I think it is natural to worry about them surviving. My husband told friends the night of our first beta- in my head I was freaking out like "what the heck is he doing?!" but I know he is very excited so I did my best to stay calm and ask him nicely to not tell people (outside immediate family) until we are at 12 weeks. He has still told people which I figure is his situation to deal with should something bad happen. And his parents...oh my...same thing! They told other family members when we told them....so we had to tell them to stop and each week they keep asking if they can announce it yet. What?? This is our announcement! I appreciate their excitement, but I think 8 weeks is still too early. I can't wait to be at the point in the pregnancy, where it isn't a constant worry.
How is everyone doing with transitioning off medicine? Per my tentative plan, I should be off all fertility meds by the end of the month--wahoo!
Do you find your pregnancy symptoms/morning sickness is getting better? My nausea still comes in spurts, however, is getting much less. I've been getting heartburn, but trying to chew sugarless gum to help with that.
@JWilsonKC I will finish PIO 5/1. I've been lucky thus far that I haven't experience any MS yet. I'm 7 + 2 today. Just left the RE & he surprisingly graduated me today. I have my first OB appt in 2 weeks. Our baby is measuring right on target & with a normal HB. Hope your babies are doing well too!

@capps42613 That is great news! My first OB appointment is in two weeks as well 5/2...and I can't wait! I feel like that will make it "real". I'm still waiting for that moment when it all sinks in.
Today is my last day for all meds (PIO, Crinone and estrace)! I am so glad I no longer have to do shots. Anyone else have bumps/knots on their bum from the PIO shots? I still have two boxes of crinone so I may continue them for a few more days. My nausea isn't as bad as it was a couple weeks ago, but still comes when my stomach is empty. I'm still really tired and hungry all the time. Last week I woke up a couple times in the middle of the night starving. I did not get up to eat, but I may the next time it happens. Oh and I'm also very gassy. It's pretty gross.
Yesterday was my first appointment with my midwife. She could not find the heartbeat with her Doppler, but I heard it with my Doppler this morning. Only a few more weeks til the second trimester. I can't wait.
@JWilsonKC you should move over to the "pregnant after IF" community. There are already a few of us from this thread there.
