@MelD17011 I'm glad you have a tentative date! Hopefully the shots will work better for you! I don't have experience with them but I have heard icing the area beforehand is a good idea I wanna say? Hopefully time goes by quickly and your transfer will be here before you know it!
@capps42613 How exciting that you transferred two!! I'm glad the transfer went well for you.
@JwilsonKC YAY for an AWESOME second beta! I'm sorry to hear about your TSH levels, hopefully some meds will get that under control. Positive thoughts-I am so excited for you! We had our transfer the same day, right? So crazy!
@saritafernandez Thank you!! Sound like you are progressing along well! Way to go for giving yourself a shot! I gave myself a couple Lupron shots and almost passed out!
@rachd110 holy CRAP! How on earth did your lab mess things up?! I would be so furious! But I guess its hard to be furious when you got REALLY AMAZING news! I am so excited for you. I'm so sorry you had to go through the feeling of devestation, though! How are you feeling?
@ssandberg So I had bed rest the day of the transfer. The rest of the weekend I was out and about , though. I felt kind of tired so I sat down a lot and took it easy. I've heard, though, that its good to get up and walk a little bit to increase circulation. Definitely don't walk too much , though. My RE's recommendation between the transfer and beta was only walking about 30 min a day at no greater than a brisk walking pace. I would do whatever your doctor recommends, though. Maybe take it easy the first two days and then get up and move around?
AFM I had my second beta yesterday and it came back at 1308!!! My first ultrasound is next Wednesday, the 23rd. They said they should be able to tell me if they see one or two sacs. I can't wait! I hope we get some more BFPs in this group really soon!! BFPs for alllll!!!

@mskeenan I can't believe you get to do your first ultrasound on the 23rd! Mine is scheduled for a week later (3/30) at 6.5 weeks with the second at 8.5 weeks.
They are also having me do weekly blood work each Monday for the next four weeks to check estradiol and progesterone- is anyone else doing this?
Ladies with BFP- what are your symptoms? I feel like a zombie I'm so tired. I get home from work, eat, and basically want to go to bed. And the nausea...well we aren't friends anymore- small snacks were working earlier this week and today nothing is working. Also, does anyone know the gender of their embryos? Our RE doesn't allow people to pick as they say their goal is get you pregnant, not gender selection. I thought I would be chill about it once I knew I was pregnant...but I am getting really anxious. For some reason I thought they would tell us the gender after the 8.5 week ultrasound, but the nurse hasn't said anything lately.
@mskeenan the lab screwed up big time, but it's hard for me to be furious because of the great news I got. I'm pretty sure lab errors are pretty rare, I still can't believe it happened to me. I knew there was something off, it didn't add up with my darker HCG lines and symptoms. Wow, you already received your US date. I'm assuming I will received mine when they call me for my third beta results today. Fx for a beta over 3500!
@halips Good luck on your upcoming transfer. I will lurk in the April FET thread so I can get updates on you.
@jwilsonkc I've been very bloated for the last week. To the point where I cannot place my hand on my tummy without being uncomfortable. I've had on and off pelvic pain for 2-3 days. I read this normal around 4-5 weeks and you should only be concerned if you also have vag. bleeding, which I do not. Like you I am also very tired, I'm falling asleep earlier than usually which causes me to wake up super early. Other symptoms: excessive thirst, hungry every two hours and frequent urination (prob from the excessive thirst). Oh, and nausea and indigestion started today. I hate to complain about these symptoms because it's a blessing that I'm actually feeling them. I can't believe after two years of ttc, we are finally going to have our little one...or two!
@alexiskiriluk, that's a great looking embaby you got there!
So I am probably going to poas tonight or tomorrow. Today I am 10dp5dt So scared and nervous. Earlier this week I was super bloated. Yesterday my boobs were sore. Today I feel pretty normal other than slight bloated. I am praying in pregnant and that any symptoms I have are real and not made upon my head or from pio. I'm nervous because I feel like I should feel something all the time and a lot of time I feel so normal. I know symptoms come and go. Ahhh
@Rachd110 Thank you for your post, it was exactly what I needed today! I feel the exact same, we have been trying for so long and pregnancy is what we wanted so I feel almost guilty for complaining or even just saying that I don't feel well. I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. As you said, it is a blessing!
@rachlee2010 if you are 10dpt when is your beta? It must be soon! I POAS the morning of my beta (which was 10dpt) and it showed pregnant. Good luck if you decide to do it!
ssandberg - I had the same protocol. I went a bit stir crazy on Wednesday (day after FET) as I was home alone all day.
I'm so happy to hear of everyone's BFPs so far. I am feeling negative for myself right now. I don't know if I just have the feeling, or if I am preparing myself in case I get the disappointing news next Friday. I'll work on turning my attitude around
Exciting news all around! I may have entered into the wrong forum since I don´t know if I´ll have a frozen or fresh embryo transfer. I´ll find out next week. RE said it looks like Monday I´ll trigger and ER probably next Wednesday the 23rd. Based on quality/response he will decide fresh or frozen. He actually said that FET has 20% of a better probability than fresh. Have any of your heard this? I suppose he is speaking for his clinic, but I was still surprised. Although I´m not showing many follicles I´m still positive! 6 follicles left side (14, 13, 13, 11 and two under 10) and 4 on right side (18, 16, 16, 14) with lining at 9.9. Yesterday´s estradiol was 640 but I haven´t gotten today´s back yet. One question for all. Did you all take just the day of the ER off or the day after too? And for the Fresh or FET did you go back to work or also take the day off?
@saritafernandez - For both my fresh and frozen cycles, I took the day of the transfer and day after off (basically required by my clinic). For the ER, I took the day off only. I did leave early the day before because I was so uncomfortable with all of those mature eggs. I couldn't stand sitting in my office chair any longer I have heard of the stats being better with FET (maybe not by the full 20%). **TRIGGER WARNING** I was successful in my fresh cycle, so don't get yourself too worried if your RE recommends proceeding with fresh this cycle. Best of luck!
***lurking*** been waiting for @Rachd110 and her 2nd beta and I'm so excited for you! Congratulations girl... it's great seeing the original November fresh girls get their BFP!
@ssandberg Thanks for your response! I will ask my clinic at tomorrow´s visit. My ER did a mock transfer before I started my stims and it took two minutes. I seem to remember him saying "Yep, it should go that fast. You can even go back to work" so that´s why I asked. I know they said to take the whole day of ER off which I assume is because of anesthesia and discomfort, but the mock transfer was real fast with just a (fairly) quick, sharp poke. The only reason I ask is because of personal days I have taken off. FX for your beta on 3/28! @alexiskiriluk Nice image! FX for you!. When is your beta? @capps42613 Love your images! They look good. FX for your beta on 3/29!
@ChristinaV2015 hey girl! How are you? Have you scheduled your HSG? I believe you said you were moving forward with more testing before another round.
My second (accurate) beta came back at more than 3000! The nurse said everything looks great and my first u/s is scheduled for Friday. Of course I'm worrying so much and wish I can have my u/s tomorrow. If everything looks good on Friday then they'll schedule another u/s to detect heartbeat the following week. Im debating on when I should tell my parents. Part of me wants to tell them ASAP, part wants to wait 'til after the first scan or wait 'til we hear a heartbeat.
@saritafernandez for my fresh cycle back in November I took two days off for the ER and one day off for the ET. I had 40+ eggs retrieved, which caused me to have bad cramps for about 4 days. My frozen transfer landed on a Thursday, so I took 2 days off work and took it easy all weekend. ***trigger warning*** both cycles produced a BFP, but the fresh cycle ended in an ectopic.
@stranzm try to stay positive! I know it's hard, but you're PUPO right now and you'll get your BFP next week.
@rachlee2010 your beta is tomorrow! Good luck! Did you end up POAS this weekend?
yes @Rachd110 I POAS yesterday and got a BFP..I am so excited..of course so far today I feel totally normal and any symptoms i've had I don't feel today...makes me crazy..ughh...I want to feel good of course but would like something to make me feel pregnant. Beta is tomorrow and I am just praying and hoping everything comes back good and then doubles appropriately. We didn't do testing on our embryo and had a miscarriage last year from a natural pregnancy so hoping this is a good healthy chromosomal normal embryo...
@Rachlee2010 Congrats! Hoping for good beta news for you today as well!! I agree with you on the symptoms...last week I had been feeling nauseous everyday...this weekend, nothing. Of course I freaked out and was upset. I had my regular weekly testing this morning and can't wait for the confirmation that all is okay. As you said, I don't want to feel sick...but I want some sign of pregnancy!
@saritafernandez our RE is out of state and I was so very anxious to get home that I wanted to do the surgery and immediately hop in the car and head home...then after the procedure, I wasn't in pain, but I was extremely tired from the anesthesia. Anesthesia also upset my stomach so after vomiting a couple times at the hospital they said I needed to be able to keep food down. We ended up leaving very early the next morning to travel home (a 10 hour drive) and I felt fine with no pain. After the FET I took it easy for three days after the transfer with no work (over the weekend)...not bed rest for that long, just at home with only light activity.
@Rachd110 Congratulations on another strong beta!!
@ssandberg I didn't feel any symptoms until 8 days past transfer and it hit me all the sudden. This sounds so ridiculous but my husband was talking about mounting the tv on the wall and for some (really crazy) reason I just couldn't handle it right then...I had an overwhelming feeling that I needed to cry, but I had no idea why. Luckily, I realize it was the hormones and warned him it wasn't his fault! lol. The same day I started sweating a lot and became very hot- again for no reason, as I was sitting in the house with shorts and tshirt. The next day at church I went from very hot and fanning myself to shivering and putting my cardigan back on. My positive beta was the following day at 10dpt.
@rachlee2010 Congrats! FX for a high and doubling beta number!
@ssandberg Starting 5dpt, I was really tired and bloated, which could have been attributed to the progesterone. I had two sure telltale signs. One was starting 7dpt, I began to wake up at 5 am very alert and ready to start the day. I usually don't wake up until 7-7:30 am and I am still waking up before 6 am everyday. The other was excessive thirst, which I can't remember when it started. Probably around 7dpt as well. I POAS 8dpt and got a strong positive. My beta was 11dpt. After my beta, more symptoms started i.e. runny nose everyday, nausea on an empty stomach, mild cramps, heightened sense of smell, hunger.
So far all positive betas for this group. I hope this continues all month! This past weekend I was thinking about how horribly bad my inaccurate lab results could have been. I feel like I need to find out what went wrong and what are they doing to prevent it from happening again. I don't want this happening to anyone else. I'm definitely going to ask the doctor some questions the next time I meet with him.
@rachlee2010 Congratulations! That is exciting news! After this initial beta test, does your ER plan more tests or is it on to your obgyn?
AFM, I had my last monitoring visit today and will be triggering tonight! Egg retrieval is set for this Wednesday morning and transfer is set for Monday, March 28th. I am so excited and nervous. DH and I are feeling positive though I´m hoping all the BFP in this group rub off on us!
@Rachd110 - My betas are this week. Beta 1 is Wednesday, Beta 2 is Friday. My clinic will not give you the Beta 1 results (unless there is no chance). So, I don't want to get a call on Wednesday.
@stranzm I've never heard of that..so do they only call you after the first one if it is less than 5 and considered negative??Otherwise as long as it's any positive number they wait to make sure it doubles??? Thats interesting and feels kind of torturous. Have you or will you POAS?? Good luck
@saritafernandez good luck with your retrieval and then transfer next week!!! Will you put back 1 or 2?
Congrats to all the BFP's! This is so exciting. I am a long-time lurker. My FET is scheduled for 3/29 FX. I will be transferring two of my frozen embies.
@JWilsonKC I am also having a progesterone and estradiol check tomorrow at my US appointment. They checked it last week as well. I'm not sure if they will continue every week or what? As for symptoms I am super tired too! Not complaining. Bring on the symptoms! I had a big scare the last two days. I've been bleeding and cramping. I called my doc and he said I should just wait to come in tomorrow for my US because my betas looked so good. Of course I'm worried sick but trying to stay positive.
@rachd110 I'm so excited your second beta came back so high! That is amazing!! Such an amazing feeling. I already told my parents and DH's parents. I can't keep secrets. I''ll let you know how tomorrow goes!!
@rachlee2010 congrats!!! I am so excited for you!!! How are you feeling?
@ssandberg It's hard to say what symptoms I had. I've had what I thought were symptoms before and they ended up just being side effects of meds . I was definitely really tired. I also had cramping and spotting . I was sure I was out but so far so good.
@alexiskiriluk ugh stupid TWW!!! they SUCK! It'd be nice if we could just sleep straight through them. FX for you!!!

rachlee2010 - It doesn't seem so torturous to me because I don't know any different. You are exactly right; they wait to make sure it doubles. I'm not going to POAS, just see what happens. I have been cramping a bit today, so I don't know if that is good or bad. I've also been grumpy **TRIGGER WARNING** When I went through a fresh cycle in 2014, I figured I would be elated or depressed when they called after my 2nd Beta. Instead, I got a call that my number hadn't fully doubled, so I was tested again 4 days later. Luckily, it was good news then. That was a long week! So, I've prepared myself for that option too.
@mskeenan OH my gosh, we must be very similar in this process...I Started bleeding today and of course am freaking out. They are going to do an u/s tomorrow along with hcg, estradiol, & progesterone. I'm very nervous. Good luck to you!
