@MelD17011 sorry to hear your lining was not as thick as you would have liked! Are you scheduled for next Tuesday??? Can the increase meds to thicken it?? Let us know what your RE says. FX!!
@MelD17011 sorry about you thin lining. FX that it will thicken before your scheduled FET!
@ssandberg If you really want twins then transfer two. I know having two left is not ideal, but it's better than one or not having any. It's going to work the first time around anyway!
I woke up at 4:30 am this morning and could not go back to sleep. I finally got up at 6 to get ready for work. I usually don't get up until 7:30 am. Not sure if it's cuz hubby is out of town or pregnancy related. ☺️ I was so exhausted last night cuz I was running around and preparing for my coworker's baby shower this afternoon. By 9 pm I had really bad cramps on my left side. The fatigue from the progesterone finally kicked in this week. I completely forgot how tired it makes me. Today is going to be a long day. I gave up coffee, but I may need some this morning.
@vssbrm My retrieval was December 2nd and we had the embryos tested which delayed things since we were also doing this over the holidays and I just had my FET on March 4th. Here is an outline of what I did:
January Cycle day 3- start 21 days of birth control- which ended 2/6 Lupron started on 2/2 and the last day was 2/26 February Cycle day 3- I started the estrogen therapy of vivelle patches Around 2/25 they started doing blood work and ultrasound checks- my protocol changed a lot after this because my lining was measuring thick. So your meds from here will depend on how you are responding, but mine included vivelle patches, endometrin, PIO, estrace pills (another estrogen) as well as some low dose antibiotics. My first lovenox shot wasn't until the day of transfer.
alexiskiriluk I am scheduled for the 15th.... I'm not sure if they can up my meds enough to keep me on track for that date or not. Hoping to know more this afternoon

Thank you @JWilsonKC My transfer was the same day as yours! My blood test is actually going to be next Tuesday . How are you holding up? I'm doing better now.. your info was reassuring. I hope I just tested too early.
@capps42613 Yes I'm so mad at myself for testing early!! Sounds like things are moving along nicely for you! You are responding to the meds well it sounds
@Rachd110 That website is very helpful . It makes me feel a lot better. I'm going to try to be good and not POAS again. Ahhhhh you are POAS on Saturday! I hope you get good news!!!
@vssbrm thank you. I watched a TON of crappy TV on Netflix last night and it was good to distract myself. As for your question, I know every doc is diff. Your protocol looks diff than mine. For me, I had to wait 2 months after my retrieval to have my FET. I had to be put on BCP for a few weeks and have a period. Then, I started Lupron to "calm the ovaries down" and then did estrace and progesterone to get ready for the FET.
@MelD17011 Ah I hope things don't get delayed for you! But if its to make sure your lining is nice and ready itll be worth it! I'm with you.. the estrogen is no fun! I've been going to bed at 7:30. Yikes.
@alexiskiriluk My beta is the 15th. My transfer was March 4. So I tested 5dpt . That is pretty early.

@mskeenan I tell myself I'm holding up well but I'm nervous about my estradiol and progesterone levels so I went and had those tested again yesterday (without the doctors request). My nurse "scolded" me again on how I shouldn't do a HPT. It's so tempting, but I think she has scared me enough that I won't. We have waited this long for good news, surely I can wait four (very long) more days!
I can't wait to hear everyone's results next week!
spoke with my RE today - they are increasing my meds and I go back for another lining check on Monday. If it has thicken by then, my FET will be 3/21 instead of 3/15. If not, it will be cancelled for this cycle and they will try different meds for the next. Hoping that doesn't happen!!!!

@JWilsonKC Did you get your blood work results yet? Ah I have wondered about getting mine checked! I wish my nurse had "scolded" me. I had enough of a breakdown to not do it again.. at least I think. You are right, we have waited this long for all of this. Surely we can wait just a little bit longer, huh? I can't wait for everyone else's results next week too! I was in the Jan/Feb IVF board bc I was doing my stims/retrieval then and so many that had transfers got BFP! They gave me hope!!
@MelD17011 I'm really hoping that doesn't happen, too! A slight delay won't be too bad... but I can't stand the waiting!

@MelD17011 - I'm still a go for FET on Tuesday (3/15). Appointment went okay today...get to keep the FET this cycle. However, I have Adenomyosis (my uterine lining is growing into my muscle). Apparently, it can impact fertility and is somewhat common to see after having a child. My baby from fresh cycle turns 1 this month. I'm a little nervous this is gearing me up for endometriosis and a hysterectomy in my future. This confirms to me why I'm doing this now and not waiting. I'm turning 38 this year and my mom and sister both had hysterectomies at 40 (and both had endometriosis!). The doctor said if I'm not successful and want to do a fresh cycle (I will), then I'll be on 3 months of Lupron to help the situation. So, not a wonderful appointment, but I'm moving forward!
@mskeenan Yes, the blood results came back with estradiol at 223 (my clinic said they want this above 200) and progesterone at 15.3 (they want this at 20 or higher). These seem really low compared to what other people are reporting! They increased my vivelle patches, but said the progesterone was fine. In reply to the pains you are having, mine isn't in my ovary, but also on my right side. With every cramp or feeling, I can't help but wonder if that is the embryo implanting or just the medicine....so hard to know what is going on in there!
So I caved this morning and POAS...it was a pretty strong BFP! I'm trying to be excited, but very worried because of my miscarriage/poss. ectopic with my fresh cycle. Last time around, I also got my BFP at 8dpt, but it was only a squinter. I don't think I can get excited until I get my beta results. I'm debating on whether or not I should tell DH over the phone or wait until he is back in town on Monday night. By then, I will also have my beta results.
@rachd110 omg omg omg !! I am so excited for you !!!! Ahhhhh ! I don't know if I could wait a whole weekend to tell my DH !!! I understand your hesitation with being excited after a loss . If I get a BFP I will be the same way . But enjoy this time as much as you can ! I am praying your beta number is good and this pregnancy will be happy and healthy !!!

I want him to know right away, but I also want to see his reaction if it is good news! I'm sure your DH will be so excited to know!
Thanks ladies. Yes, my beta is on Monday. It's going to be a long weekend. My clinic usually calls around 3-4 pm with results, so Monday will be terrible. I'm definitely POAS again tomorrow morning and Sunday to make sure the line isn't getting lighter.
AFM, lining check today went really well. 9mm. PIO will start Sunday, and transfer Friday (3/18)!!! I'm going to do an acupuncture session the night before. We talked to our RE about the number of embryos to transfer, as well as which ones, and decided we will transfer the best 2. Both are PGS tested, Day 5 embryos. One is a G1 Exp Blast (girl) and the other is a G2 Blast (boy). As I shared before, we'd love to have twins so FX!
BTW -- we decided not to tell any family or friends how many embryos we decided to transfer, or what gender they are. But I'm bursting, so thanks internet for keeping my secret
@Rachd110 OMG! That's great news. Hang in there, Monday will come soon enough.
@ssandberg my transfer is on the 17th, so we are super close. We will only transfer one, ours are PGS tested too but our RE doesn't think putting in 2 is a good idea, too worried about twins (I wouldn't mind, but am kind of going with what he says). mskeenan Of course there is still hope! It seems natural for you to have tested early, but wait until your official blood test with your RE! If it´s too early the test might show negative, so do not jump to conclusions. Staying positive for you
You all are a little bit ahead of me. Having read the threads I have learned so much! I didn´t know anything about lining until I read this. I have you all in my thoughts and hope for happy, healthy news. Tonight will be my third day of injections. My RE prescribed Menopur and Follitism. My DH has been a pro at injecting (used to do his own allergy shots) and has made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I have sonograms and blood tests scheduled for every other day starting tomorrow and tentatively, 3/23 ER and 3/28 FET.

@Rachd110 Can you explain the benefits of pineapple, brazilian nuts, and acupuncture? FX for you!! @capps42613 That is so exciting your egg retrieval is tomorrow! FX for more good news and a smooth process. @mskeenan FX for you on Tuesday! AF cramps can be a good sign

Hi @saritafernandez pineapple and Brazilian nuts are supposed to help with implantation. There is no real proven research, but it doesn't hurt to try. Buy a whole pineapple and split into 5 servings, including the core. The core has the majority of the bromelain, which is thought to aid in implantation. Starting the day of your transfer eat 1 serving for five days. I also ate about 5 Brazilian nuts every day for five days. Acupuncture is supposed to help get your blood flowing to all the appropriate places like your uterus. I had acupuncture once a week starting three weeks before my transfer, then the day before and an hour after. For me, acupuncture also helps with relaxation. Traditional Chinese Medicine also states to keep your feet warm so your body isn't wasting energy trying to warm up your feet. I made sure to always have socks on starting the day of transfer and still continue to do so. I can't prove any of this worked for me, but it doesn't hurt to try, right? During my fresh IVF cycle, i felt very very bloated. To the point where I had trouble walking. FET are easier on your body.
@mskeenan, please don't count your self out yet. Are you going to POAS before your beta?
@capps42613, good luck on your upcoming ER. FX for lots of eggs and fertilized embryos!
Good luck to all the upcoming transfers. FX for sticky beans!
As for me, my back pain has not gone away. It's fine when I wake up, but once I start walking around it starts to hurt again. I'm really nervous for my beta tomorrow. I'm hoping my HCG is at a good level. I think I remember my clinic stating they want to see a level of more then 100 for the first beta.
well ladies, my FET got cancelled for this month. I had my second lining check today and it was just over 6mm after increasing my meds. They are going to put me on the IM shots for next cycle (I took the suppositories this time). I am pretty disappointed. Waiting on my protocol, but sounds like it will put me out another 6 weeks.

@MelD17011 Sorry to hear that. I know the waiting is very hard, but you also don't want to get your hopes up with a transfer if the lining isn't right. I'm doing the IM PIO and while it isn't fun, my doctor has me doing every other day shots which is tolerable.
