@RoseShadow873 preparation H cream and witch hazel wipes. As long as it's bright red and not tarry or black, you're good. I've also heard that naming them helps with the mental aspect.

Hector visits here about every other week. Lately he's brought friends. Ugh. I hate Hector.

You had me confused because that is what I'm planning to name my baby....

Literally just laughed out loud. Hahahaha
Bahahaha. That's hilarious. Sorry that that's the H name I randomly picked!

lol. Well I felt a little bad about it when I first saw that, especially since I have been unsure if the name was too weird but I figured it was just a coincidence. Hopefully that name isn't that hated or that a lot of people don't associate it with hemorrhoids.

Not at all bad - it's just not my style, so I knew it was "safe" as an H name. I highly doubt anyone else would make that association. Plus Homer's Hector is a kinda ballin' namesake.
I officially have the back of an 80 year old it starts hurting and aching around 3 daily and lasts all night including during sleep. This is awful. Tylenol is not helpful. The exercises my dr had me do started putting more strain on it ugh....considering chiropractor. Anyone else using a chiropractor?
I'm 5 seconds from ripping off my clothes and rubbing my body against a damn tree or something.
I experienced this first tri. Mine was alleviated by daily Zyrtec (Benadryl would also work) but you do need to be careful of pregnancy-related rashes like PUPPS.
I just Googled PUPPS and I am praying to God I don't end up with that. I do have some small rashes that have appeared overnight so I'm calling my OB stat!
Good luck, hope it's nothing!
The verdict is in: It's PUPPS.
They told me to take Benadryl or hydrocortisone and if it gets out of hand, they can prescribe something. Right now, I've been using cocoa butter twice a day and its been helping to keep the areas moisturized. The rashes haven't spread but I have gotten scars already from scratching.

No! At least we're getting close to D-day... Good luck and do everything you can to keep from itching!
Does contracting hand foot and mouth count as a pregnancy symptom? I haven't even had any contact with children for three weeks and wash my hands all the time due to having to prick my fingers four times a day cause of gestational diabetes. Fun times... I think I enjoyed the chicken pox more.
On a different note, I read about all the Braxton hicks. I've been having SEVERAL an hour (when I'm on my feet) since week 23. My obgyn asked me if I had strong and painful periods... Which I did... She said some people are just stronger contractors than others. She said to use those as the baseline so I know when I am actually going into labor. She also said it probably means I have a higher pain tolerance for labor... Hope some of that info helps... I didn't read though all the comments so I don't know if all that had been said already.
I'm really thankful my body hair is so light, because my belly is SO FURRY. It's weirding me the hell out. I had no idea this was a thing that could happen.
I'm glad you said this. I was wondering if mine really was hairier or if I am crazy and never noticed the hair before. That is so weird!

I wish I could say my body hair is light as well but sadly my Arab genes have failed me. I am so weirded out by how hairy my belly is and DH thinks it's very funny. I get very embarrassed everytime I have to show my belly now to the midwife and sisters. What is this nightmare!?

I dont think nesting is going to hit me. I want to do some extra cleaning and organizing, but I have zero energy to do anything. Today I planned on doing some major cleaning (laundry, bathrooms, floors) and paint the closet in the nursery. All I managed to do was go grocery shopping, put the groceries away and haul the trash can back to the house from the street. Oh, and I ran the dish washer. And thats it! Poor husband!
@AdyLilsMom I had this too! I was in the hospital for four days, two weeks ago with my first ever kidney stone. I honestly throught I was going into labour the pain was that terrible. They could only do an ultrasound and saw a 7mm stone (not a small one!). I finally passed it naturally on the fourth night as they were discharging me from the hospital. I'm terrified of it happening again!

My husband and I laugh at it all the time. Luckily I have light hair also.
If it makes you guys feel any better I had a hairy belly even before getting pregnant with DD. It gets worse each time and is extremely embarrassing but thankfully my husband doesn't care. Of course I still do so I will be getting lazer hair removal after DS is here.
Does anybody else get overheated when they sleep? I get woken up because I'm suddenly sweaty and incredibly thirsty.
Constantly. I keep a water bottle on my night stand and sleep pretty much only in a tank top and underwear yo keep cool.
Experiencing the same unwelcome sweatiness. I swapped the winter duvet for the spring one and wear very little clothing to bed. I probably should drink more water but I dread the middle of the night bathroom breaks.
Anyone else having a really hard time eating? I can stomach breakfast but after that, I can't handle much more than a sandwich or cup of yogurt because my stomach is so sour. Any advise?
I'm having the same issue. So much nausea and I can make myself get down much food. I've never had any issue with nausea or morning sickness throughout my pregnancy at all, so I was getting a bit nervous. I'm still terrified of listeria since I ate salad from the Dole plant everyday and they had a listeria outbreak, but my doctor won't test me for it. I'm thinking baby is just crowding my stomach so much it's making me feel sick. Tums help me some but so far I haven't gotten much relief.
Does anyone else not really have symptoms? I feel pretty great most of the time. I have the occasional charley horse and I get hot flashes and had a hemorrhoid flare-up but that's really it. I feel guilty and like I'm a weirdo for not feeling worse. I keep hoping the birth will go this smoothly.

Me too. And I'm never hot. We keep the temp at like 75 and have a heated mattress pad and I'm usually covered in tons of blankets. Now I can't stand the heat up and sleep without a blanket with a fan on me lol

Nearly all of my symptoms can be blamed on the 20 pounds I've gained (plus general digestive discomfort). Of course I'm tired, I'm basically piggybacking a toddler 24/7. I will seriously keep my mouth shut about early pregnancy discomforts in any future pregnancies, though.

I'm the same way. My baby is laying transverse/ oblique, which means he is no longer pushing on my bladder, kinking my bowel, squishing my stomach or crowding my lungs. it's great ! The only symptom I have is shortness of breath when climbing stairs, which is understandable when I'm 22 pounds heavier than usual...
@RoseShadow873@thaisac1 Same. I feel a general laziness and some discomfort while sleeping... But definitely no pain, contractions, or major symptoms (yet). The worst I can say is I wish there was always a bathroom within 20 feet of me.
