I've been pretty quiet on the symptoms front, but just in the past couple of days, I've woken up with the thumb, index, and middle fingers of my right hand completely numb. It doesn't hurt and goes away eventually if I stretch my arm out all the way straight, but it's extremely disconcerting, and it's distracting enough that it makes it impossible to fall back asleep.

I'm also so, so swollen. I'm so grateful it's been a mild winter, because my feet and lower legs no longer fit into my boots, so it's ballet flats from here on out (with socks this morning, since it was a little too chilly to be exposing bare skin).

    Carpal tunnel!
I don't know whether or not this works, but in my physical training in the mornings we do an exercise that's supposed to help release carpal tunnel. You sit with your elbows on your knees, wrists directly above the elbows, and touch your thumbs to the middle and ring fingers on each hand like you're making the hook 'em horns sign (crazy Texans). Then you bend your wrists forward to 90 degrees and return to the neutral position. Repeat until you feel like a total idiot. I had some carpal tunnel but it wasn't severe and hadn't returned, but I don't know if that can be chalked up to this exercise.

I never thought that this would happen to me, but apparently my snoring has been keeping up DH at night for the past week. I never ever snore in my sleep, and now it's so bad the poor guy can't sleep. I feel pretty guilty because I sleep all through the night  :/

ETA: hmm he also mentioned I stopped breathing a couple of times where he had to check on me, so I'm worried that I've developed sleep apnea.  :s

  • I've had some random boob leakage since second tri (nothing crazy that required anything to absorb). But last night it's as if there was a small whole in a water ballon. I felt some tough areas around my chedt (no nipple stimulation) and I rubbed them out for like 5 seconds... 5 mins later I'm looking for my samples of nursing pads.

Seriously tho I've been wanting midnight snacks a lot lately...not my usual be.
  • emgee27 That's part of the reason my acid reflux is killing me- don't lay down for 2 hours after eating?  What pregnant woman can do that?

  • @AmadorRose yes on varicose veins on the labia.  I have one and it makes it look like that side is swollen.  It's awful looking but other than that it causes no issues.  My wax lady along with the dr said it will go away after delivery.  I'm sure hoping so
  • I've had a lack of interest in food. DH has been having all of the cravings for me.

Ditto - thinking about food makes me nauseous. If something sounds good, it doesn't last long enough to actually get it in my mouth.

Same with me! I'm rarely in the mood to eat and have to force myself to eat at times. The only plus side IMO is I haven't had many cravings and only gained 18lbs as of 2 weeks ago (32 weeks).

  • Does anyone walk or workout? When I was on my walk today my stomach was hurting so bad. I guess the best way to describe it would have been really tight and cramping. It still feels tight, but nothing crazy... I have an appt. tomorrow so I can ask.

My whole abdomen gets very tight when I walk, especially if I try to walk quickly. My pelvis hurts so badly with movement that I had to stop running a couple weeks ago because I couldn't move for an entire day after I went for a light morning job.
  • @beccamccann They couldn't see a kidney stone, and I haven't passed one as far as I know so I'm stuck with this tube in my kidney until after delivery. Hopefully you'll get lucky and not get another stone! Seriously though, the pain was 100x worse than labor!

  • @gparr126 yeah...walking too fast is a no no for me too. I feel the muscles tighten along the side running from the top of the belly all the way down to the vagina. I've had to tell DH to slow down a few times when we walk together. I haven't attempted running in a while since it doesn't take much for me to trip (on top of waddling from side to side!)
  • I've had extreme floaters in my vision for the past few days. Seriously hoping that it is not a sign of pre-e around the corner.

  • Achy loosening joints  in the pelvis :(
  • Rolling over at night and 3-4 different places pop or crack in my back/pelvis.
  • Nightly nausea is back. Yay me! This sucks, but at least it's not nearly as bad as what I had with DD. That sucked more.

  • Omg yes!! It happened to me twice! When I went to get up from bed I heard a pop sound coming from my pelvic bones area, it didn't hurt but I was like omg! What was that!!? I still walked fine, didn't hurt....

Pelvis pain out this world. It felts like the lady bits are pulling apart when trying to stand up. Last night as I was rolling over I felt and heard a large pop. It hurt like hell

  • My back is killing me all the time now. I stood long enough to load the dishwasher this evening and I thought my back was going to snap in half. I'm at work now and just miserable. The only thing that helps with the ache is laying in my bed with the heating pad. I am so over being in pain all the time, I'm so tempted to tell work to F off that I'm starting my leave now. But since I would probably lose my job, I suppose I can't do that. Im 4 1/2 weeks from my due date, I'm just praying he comes on time, and hoping he is a bit early. I can start my maternity leave based off my due date or wait till he is born. I wanted to use medical leave to take off a week or 2 before my due date, and still have 12 weeks of company maternity leave, but they won't let me do that. Now I'm thinking I'll go out on my due date if there is no sign of impending labor. 4 more weeks, I can do this!!!

  • I've been a hormonal mess all day today. I cried several times today. Once because of the pain I was in and another because at my checkup my dr told
me my pelvic pain is only going to start getting worse. My dr advised me to stop work at 36 weeks if my pain and discomfort doesn't start to ease up at all. I had a talk with LO today and told her she needs to take it easy on me
  • Leg cramps are the worst. I'm always out of breathe too. An at night I get really hot. Everyone but me is cold. I think the over heating is why I don't sleep well too.

Yeah leg cramps in the middle of the night are horrid. Try standing on a cool surface. I learned it helps - rather than massaging it - and it really does do the trick! It's worth the hassle of slipping off the bed and getting back in.
Don't think I can do much about my legs swelling. Sigh.
  • So apparently fainting is a thing.

feet are starting to hurt and burn, i have been wearing compression stockings and socks which i think help somewhat, but none of my flats fit so I know my feet are still swollen and im hoping they go back to their original size :( hands also feel swollen and sore, and i can definitely tell the baby is running our of room as its harder to do things and breathe and when she moves sometimes i feel it all over

It also hurts to get up in the middle of the night to pee, my butt/lower back hurt and then i hobble because my feet hurt, thankfully it goes away in the morning after I get up and moving

  • @Heather4685 - same! I don't have leg cramps yet, but I'm definitely overheating at night.

I'm a New England girl, and I'm used to being cold, and wearing pajamas and a hoody to bed.

Now that I live in Arizona, it's impossible to sleep! It's too hot at night, and I'm a walking furnace.

DH likes it warm though; he likes to sleep in boxers. I like it cold, so that I can snuggle up. It's been a battle.

And unfortunately, I hate sleeping naked.

  • The last 2 days I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Holy fatigue, batman! I thought I was tired before, but apparently not.
  • So today I woke up at 10, took fiancé to work, got breakfast and gas on my way home, ate, then passed out at like 1. I woke up around 2:40ish covered in sweat, like I had broken a fever, drank some water, went to the bathroom, and came back to bed. Now I've just recently woken up again, and I feel like I've broken a fever. I didn't really feel anymore tired than usual today, and other than my feet/ankles being swollen yesterday and last night I've been pretty normal. (I only work Tuesday evenings for a grand total of two hours, but yesterday I did an extra rehearsal for a combined three and a half hours)

Could this be a response to getting a massage yesterday, and them working a lot of toxins out? Or is random bouts of corpse like napping the new normal? The extra sleep isn't bothering me, but the random sweating and muscle relief is...
  • Dude what is up with this groin/upper thigh pain?! I feel like baby is going to fall outta there from all of the pressure. Today has been full of constant period-like back pain and uterine pain, AND whenever I make a move (to get from couch to bathroom and back mainly) my crotch is on fire. I would probably be worried that it was pre-term labor, but my doc said unless contractions continually intensify not to worry. And they don't. They just start and stop all willy-nilly while my groin dies its painful death. So basically terribly achy and horrific lightening crotch. Good thing there's only five-ish weeks until my due date, right?  :#  Godspeed, fellow April moms. Godspeed.

I mean, there could be many new things I've experienced in my eight
month that I could question... But..
anyone else bleed, some fresh blood, after sex? A few drops.. Not like it was the mucus plug bleeding. What, and why?!
  • @Knottie9983816 I sleep like that sometimes on the weekends, corpse like napping lol. I also will wake up super sweaty, so annoying. I feel like I can never get enough sleep these days!
  • @Knottie9983816 I woke up drenched in sweat at about 4 AM today and laid there thinking my AC must've shit the bed again...so I got up to look at the thermostat and the house was at 66. These hormones are kicking my ass.

I do. I've been having sex issues since third trimester started, and a sensitive cervix that loves to bleed when poked (it also happened after my last OB exam) is a part of that. No biggie.
