  • Having early contractions doesn't mean you will have her early. My eldest sister has 3 kids, with each of them she had to go in and have contractions stopped around 30 weeks. With each of them though she made it to at least 39 weeks

  • I know my mom doesn't think I'll make it to March, EDD the 2nd. Idk, I kinda go back and forth on what I'm "feeling" as far as when he'll come. Guess we'll know soon though!!

  • I'm making it a point not to tell folks my due date. I've just been saying, "due in March" or "she'll be here mid-March." I'm guessing she'll be late like DS, so I really don't want folks hounding me about when I'm going to have that baby. Bahaha! Like I know the answer but just won't say.
  • I usually just say "mid to late March" too.

@charley15 when is your last shot?
  • I'm thinking I won't make it to March either. Positive thinking helps right? Scheduled c on mar 1. at 40 weeks. Ugh.
Really, really hoping to go on my own before.  Just read this study on nipple stimulation. I might have to give it a go in a couple weeks.
  • @kitteh81 my last shot is this Friday!

  • Yeah early contractions doesn't mean crap.  I started in at 18w with DS2 and he was 3 days over - I was convinced he would get here early (and because his brother came 15 days early, it was a total mind f**k).

Uh, I don't want to hear this!!!!  Lol
Ive also been having non-stop contractions since week 20, and my son  was 15 days early. I thought for sure I'd be a shoe in for delivery at 38 weeks this time too!  You're saying it didn't happen for you?

  • I'm just excited to be able to say "baby is due next month!" You know?!
Me too...even though my RCS isn't until March 29th it makes it seem so much closer to say next month!

  • I'm most nervous about not feeling contractions again and having my water break without notice.  That is what happened with DD.  I didn't have any pre-term signs of labor or contractions- just my water broke out of the blue and all I was doing was getting undressed to get in the shower when it happened.  Yes I feel BH contractions this time but they aren't painful (they are getting more frequent and intense), but that doesn't mean I'm going to feel the real thing when the time comes... :/  I don't know how to handle that.

  • @charley15 I guess I've been having contractions because I'll feel my stomach get real hard every few days or so, but I only notice if I'm touching my stomach with my hand, otherwise I'd have no idea I'm having BH. Not feeling the real thing has been a minor fear of mine, but this is my first so I have no idea how labor will be for me. I just keep hoping I take after my mom and grandma and only labor for about 6 hours or so!!

  • My EDD is March 3rd and no one thinks I'll make it that far either. But obviously it could go either way. I don't want to think ill go sooner and then go over! I've been having some Braxton hicks the last few weeks...some actually painful. I had a huge meltdown when I realized I had basically nothing but furniture so I put in a giant order on Amazon for everything I needed last night.

The February birth thread started getting busier the last 2 weeks and I can't believe ours will be doing the same so soon!!
  • My EDD is 3/28 and I am pretty sure that I will probably go later, but my mom is somehow convinced I'll go earlier than that. Just a feeling she says. Okkkkkkkk. My doctor is leaving the country on a medical mission trip on 3/29 so I'd like to at least be on time but I suppose her not being there to catch the baby isn't the end of the world.

Not at all.  And even if your doctor wasn't in the country, there'd be a chance you wouldn't get her anyway.

  • @skruhmin When she told me I was oddly at peace with it. I have been much more go with the flow about EVERYTHING than I thought I would be though. I will say that she touts that she does her best to be at ALL of her deliveries so I was a little annoyed that that was one of her selling points of which she is kind of reneging.

I hear you.  The midwife I've seen is probably going to an out of country conference the week I'm due.  I know they rotate midwife on call but I love this midwife and would love to have her delivery me.  But in the end, it really doesn't matter who's delivering me as long as baby gets out ok.

    nope, that didn't work either

  • Bh won't leave me alone tonight. I have tried cold water, laying down, going pee... still there. Not painful, vary on timing, so I'm pretty sure they are bh, but man they suck

I've been the same for the last few days.  The struggle is definitely real!

I know mine is. I imagine she is frantically banging on my cervix yelling, "this is the exit! I know it is!!!"

I'm hating bras right now. When I wear ones without underwire my boobs feel so heavy and floppy, not to mention the underboob that hangs out of the bottom; when I wear an underwire it digs into my ribs all day and my nipples pop out of the top; all my sports bras are too tight. I'm too cheap to buy new bras haha, especially since I want to splurge on some great nursing bras in the next few weeks!!
I have some nursing bras that I bought a size up and I've just been wearing those. They're comfy, and I got them at Walmart for cheap (I literally paid 10 cents for one of them). I figure they may be a little big now, but they may fit once the milk comes. If not, at least they're comfy now. Haha

  • @charley15 I'm so sorry :( I felt bad after my Friday OB visit.  She told me still no sex... wait a week, she says lol  I'm dilated to a 3 though, so she probably had the right idea.  Although, sitting here having some slight contractions, I'm not sure we'll make it to next week lol
  • @smushi mine told me after my last shot I can drop all restrictions. Can't say I didn't try. I can't move- feel like a beached whale. I can barely get up when I lay on my side so layingon my back for anything is out of the question. My next appt is Tuesday so we shall see if I'm dilated or not. I'm surprised he didn't check last week when he was in there doing my gbs swab...

  • We had to do it side lying.  That was the only position I could manage after 30 weeks with DS1.
  • Lol we tried that too- it didn't work for us.
