TMI warning!
Has anyone ever had "gas pain" I woke up in the night with a huge stomach ache I thought I had to pee but that didn't ease it and later when I was finally able to fart at least several times but it took a long time, hours, to be able to finally ease this. Apparently it's thing after trying to figure out if it is a UTI symptom but it seems it's due to progesterone maybes I'm going to ask my dr about it on Monday and the weird thing is I'm not constipated as I'm having bm's fairly frequently.
Yep that is happening to me too. Sometimes I think its an actual poop but nope, just air. I have been having trouble pooping even with colace so i'm not sure what to do.
I am so ridiculously tired, I can't handle it. And I have 3 more hours of work before I can go home. I just want to crawl under my desk and go to sleep until it's time to go home. I'm even wearing this poncho today that is just like a giant blanket... it'd be perfect.
my mom sent me and DH some pregnancy books (which was cute and its nice to see her excited) and I started flipping through his Pregnancy for Dads for Dummies... and I'm pretty sure this book is going to get someone killed. Paraphrasing, but there's a paragraph about when SO starts getting bigger and showing how it's now pretty customary for women to want to flaunt/accentuate their bump. Then proceeds to give Dads advice that he should "suggest clothing options that you feel are appropriate for expectant mothers," and that his opinion should be taken into consideration and he should talk with her about her clothing choices and maybe even buy her outfit he'd like to see her in. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM what?!!?!?!? Here's advice- shut your fucking mouth. If you'd like to offer a suggestion, shut your fucking mouth. Wanna suggest some clothing choices? Shut your fucking mouth and hand over your credit card.
I had to stop reading especially when it talked about how Dad's choices and preferences should be taken into consideration by the expectant mother about labor and delivery. ha....ha ha...... hahaha....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Go home pregnancy book, you're drunk.
@MotherOfDucks I am impressed you are doing a whole30! How far along are you? I am toying with the idea but I am nervous because of food aversions and cravings. Good for you for going for it!
I've managed to give myself an aversion to avocado... which is really going to cripple me. Guacamole was my go-to healthy fat. But eh. Other than that, I'm mostly craving fruits and veggies so hopefully it'll just play in. I love nothing more than roasted broccoli. I'd eat it for breakfast. I'll be 11 weeks on Thursday. And I've been way unhealthy over the holidays so I kind of owe the fetus some healthy foods anyway. Haha
So I am just catching up - sorry to take so long. It looks like you have the flu - so you may not have started the whole30 yet. Hope this suggestion doesn't make you vomit, but I ate olives for good fat instead of avocado. I am allergic, too! And coconut butter, and nuts. I had to cut out the coconut butter though as I was using it for my sweet tooth
Just heard back about my GD tests and I not only don't have diabetes or pre diabetes, but they're no longer considering me high-risk! I just have to do the regular test at 28 weeks now and they won't make me do any additional ones YAY no extra needles!
I just found out that I did not pass my 1h GTT. Cut off was 140, I was 142. Not shocked. I have never passed thr 1 hour. I get to take the 3 hour onesoon.

I used to be a silent farter, even if I wanted to make noise I couldn't. DH farts so incredibly loud all the time. Ever since I've been pregnant, I've been waking up in the middle of the night with intense gas pain, pass the loudest farts I've ever heard that wake DH up, and tell him "this is definitely your baby." He thinks it's hilarious.
My daughter loves Disney. We are watching Tarzan and "You'll be in my Heart" came on. I sing it to her often and she's gotten used to holding my hand while I sing it. So as soon as she recognized the song she rushed into the kitchen screaming "Hand! Hand." And wasn't content until I sat down and held her hand.
I just got my bella band in the mail as well as some too-big bralettes that I ordered. My boobs are in heaven.
@blissylissy86 - I'm totally with you. I'm gonna order my pillow tonight. I'm interested to see what my dachshund thinks about this since he usually snuggles against me under the covers...the first of many rude awakenings for that spoiled little boy
I don't remember if it was this thread or not, but whoever suggested apple juice for constipation - thank you! Without giving tmi I have had a very successful couple of days.
This whole pregnancy I've been craving mostly salty things or cheese and meat. Today as I was driving home from work I had a sudden craving for strawberries so bad I could almost taste them. I ate a whole package and still want more!
The "Favorite Snack" thread immediately followed by the "Dog Eating My Underwear!!" thread made me laugh out loud. I'm a child stuck in an adult's body.
I stopped at Thyme Maternity today on my way home from the city and dropped a pretty penny on maternity clothes. This came from me sitting in a restaurant with DH last night with my pants unbuttoned. $50 dollar leggings that literally feel like heaven are so worth it if not for only 6-7 months.
Oh my god @silvers626 I actually giggled out loud to that craziness. Only time I've literally laughed out loud at this app. I must be the devil because I had weird sex dreams even before I was pregnant. I distinctly remember one when I was barely a teenager and it was with Tom Selick. Lmao apparently I'm going to hell. Oh my god I'm still giggling.
We're going out for my husband's birthday and I'm so excited. I'm ordering steak. The best thing about not being able to drink is that I won't feel guilty ordering a nice expensive entree because I won't be ordering two fancy cocktails. Steak and steak and steak for me.
Well I hit a new low today. In laws are in town and we decided to go to the outlet mall 30 min away because mil had some dishes she wanted to get. Well I got super car sick on the way their but rallied! But when we got back in the car to drive to the shopping area near the restaurant we were going I knew I couldn't make it and puked in my husbands bag from the shoes he bought in the parking lot/ on a snow bank in front of them all as they looked on in horror. Not my best moment but this is me in all my glory...
Because I'm missing my kiddo and was looking through my pictures and can't get over this. "Mommy take a cheese" "Ok I'm ready, strike a pose" Pure gold.
@Lindsayleigh1989 I'm sure you've already done this but have you tried Preggie pops? I found a "chewy" one at target that had ginger flavors and I would just suck on it until it dissolved. It helped when I was in that I'm always nauseous stage.
I had a doctor visit Friday and my weight hasn't changed but my pants have changed by two sizes. What? Also I'm super excited about changing my OB. The first guy made me wait until the lobby an hour and then another hour in the room. The new lady had me in and out in twenty minutes.
@afrazer521 I need to get some! They were out at the baby's r us by us. Where did you find them at target there weren't near prenatal vitamins there when I looked.
So my mom is in town and she told me not to pick up dog poop, pee, or puke, because I'd get a disease. I just asked her if there was a laundry disease because I don't want to do that either... Then she told my friend that if he gets any vaccinations while I'm pregnant he can't come around me. She's been in town 24 hours now. Lord help me.

Everytime I saw them they were in the aisle that had prenatels but at the other end across from the tests and condoms. They had 2 different types of Preggie pops, the chewies and the hard candies and even a nausea tea that I LOVED. I believe the tea was healthy mama brand.
@afrazer521@Lindsayleigh1989 I've been drinking a lot of that MS tea, the angel baby mama whatever brand. Cringeworthy name but it has REALLY helped with the feeling queasy, especially when I'm at work.
So I had a little bike mishap this week and thankfully nothing happened, I didn't fall off, everything was fine, but it got me thinking about how long into this pregnancy I can ride my bike. I'm not the most balanced person but I ride a beach cruiser on flat beach roads a mile to work/back every day. Any STM want to weigh in about how long they were able to stay on their bikes once they got massive?
@elenabrent yeah I think I have that angel whatever in a heartburn tea and the ms one is healthy mama...I believe it's called "calm the crazy." I drank ALOT of that in the beginning to the point I would get up in the morning and ds would open the pantry and tell me to make mamas tea and then ask me to make his tea (watered down iced tea lol). It helped me alot and I didn't feel like I had to pop the Preggie pops every 15 minutes. Plus who doesn't love tea
@Lindsayleigh1989 I ordered some off of Amazon when I couldn't find them in stores. Make sure you get the ones with the B6 in them. They helped me a little, but barely had a chance to use them before my MS went away. You can have mine if you want them I'm sure the family understands, it's not like you've got control over it and planned to puke in front of them. Good luck girl, keep your chin up. I hope this slows down for you soon.
Im about three episodes into Making a Murderer and the fact that Steven Avery lit a fucking cat on fire makes me not give a fuck whether he's sitting in jail for something he didn't do.
Question for STM+ moms: how many of you bought a glider and then barely used it, and how many basically lived in yours? I'm thinking about shelling out a pretty penny on one that I love, but I'm questioning if it's worth it or not.

Being a mother is awesome.

July'16 BMB May Siggy Challenge - Star Wars:
Um, what? Maybe this is a real thing for some people but I just can't.... Wow.
Watching ER while you're pregnant is a total fuckfest. Why I do this to myself, I'll never truly understand.
Not my best moment but this is me in all my glory...
