Having a very lazy morning, husband went to work for a few hours and the dogs and I are still in bed and I THINK..... I just felt the baby!! Distinct little flicks, kinda. I'm 17w6d. And of course now I'm just laying here willing it to do it again..
I love Girl Scout Cookies but I don't like thin mints at all. Peppermint patties - yes. Mint flavored cookies - egh.
Sort of an anatomy question for you guys.... How long is the umbilical cord? If you do delayed cord clamping, can you still put the baby on your chest and/or breastfeed? I was thinking about this today and figured the cord must not be long enough to do that. Haven't given much thought to the delayed cord clamping thing, but definitely like the idea of immediate skin to skin contact.
My DS actually woke up from his nap and told me he had to poop and used the potty! He has kept dry pants for weeks but has refused to poop on the potty so this is a major potty breakthrough! I'm so excited!

1) cord lengths vary greatly.
2) the latest study show that all the benefits from delayed cord clamping can be achieved with in 60 seconds. There really is no additional benefits of waiting longer, and it increases some other risks.
@sboston06 all cord lengths are different. Some are long and thin, others are short and fatter. Ds could only reach my stomach for skin to skip before the cord was clamped and cut. Everyone's is different and you won't know til the baby's out!
So last night I totally fell asleep while laying in bed reading my iPad. I was laying on my back holding the iPad up and as I fell asleep it fell forward and hit me right on the bridge of the nose. It was a rude awakening and it left this huge red/purple swollen bruise across my nose. This morning DH asked what happened to me. He totally laughed himself out of the bed. I briefly considered trying to blame my toddler. Pregnancy derp!
I have no access to Girl Scout cookies so I went to target my holy land and bought dove strawberry shortcake chocolates and Hershey's truffle kisses to eat in the tub
