Having a lot of pelvic pressure and rlp. Dr just emailed me back and said to get a maternity support band. Recommendations??? I was looking at the blanqi tank but that line also has s belly band too. I'm fine shelling out the cash if it's worth the purchase
I'm also super thirsty all the time. It's to the point that the insides of my nostrils are so dry that they hurt to breathe (and I'm in sunny, ever-humid Miami so it's not the cold winter air). I look insane constantly getting up for more water, and more trips to the bathroom to pee.
The other day I was eating a clementine, and I looked down at my shirt at some possible leakage. I thought it might have been the clementine because I'm not exactly the cleanest eater, but this was a very strategically placed wet spot. Not sure as a FTM, but is this normal before the third tri? Also, the feet swells! Aaaarrggg!!! Where do you go to pick up compression stockings?

Totally normal before the third trimester. I haven't experienced it but both of my best friends did, early on.
Compression socks are at most pharmacies, though you can get prescription ones from a podiatrist as well if you need more pressure.

I love my blanqui tank top, as it also alleviates my back pain. $70 seems like a lot for an under shirt, but I rinse it out and wear it nearly every day. I don't feel that just a band would help as significantly with back pain, but my back pain started at about 18 weeks.
I've turned into the Incredible Hulk... I'm always angry! More like a stereotypical ginger, but whatever. I keep wanting to start fights over little things... With everyone except for DH, which is odd. He actually has a calming effect on me.
fbanke42 Must be because you're growing part of him in you . My husband likes to joke that's why I haven't gotten sick. (I'm usually catching colds from my students all the time.)
@loveymay ugh I know what you mean about the rage. My hormones are all over the place! One minute I look over at DH and start crying bc I love him so much (whoa). The next minute he says something (usually random and no big deal) and I swear fire comes out of my eyes I just want to smack him! I feel so bad for my dramatic mood swings but luckily he is a super laid back person and has been dealing with me very well!!
I also got my first nose bleed ever last night. I know it's normal but it is always a little freaky seeing blood come out of somewhere you normally don't see it! Restless legs are KILLING ME. I thought I had it under control with water drinking and stretching before bed but nope. I think I may have seen the last of sleep for a very long time
Anyone else get bit by the nesting bug??? Jan 1 hit and it's been on since.... I cannot stop organizing, rearranging and purging un-needed items out of my house. I've cleared out two huge moving boxes of stuff to donate, cleaned and reorganized my fridge, cleared out and went through the spices and condiments and snack foods as well. And I may have just slapped on a first coat of paint onto my kitchen cabinets. And I want to do more but I think my body just said game over for tonight. Oh what I would not give for a glass of wine right now.
Anyone else experiencing a very sharp pain in the ribs whenever you sneeze or cough? Mine has been going on for more than a week now and I feel like passing out from the pain in the right side of my rib every time I sneeze. I'm gonna bring it up to my midwife tomorrow but I've sneezed 4 times the past half hour and it's so damn painful!
@dayj11 my nesting has taken the form of making everything I've ever pinned for a baby. Ever. I'm going to put hobby lobby out of the yarn business and myself into bankruptcy!
@elasticheart13 I generally only feel pain in my abdomen with sneezes. Has you been sick recently? You may have strained the muscles between your ribs (chostochondritis), which takes a long time to heal. Definitely bring it up since you're going to see the midwife anyway.
@AmadorRose not really no, I've avoided catching a cold twice when almost everyone in my family and DH got sick in the holidays (thank you immune system) but it does feel like I've pulled a muscle. It really sucks as it hurts to even laugh
Ditto everyone on the nesting... I decided I want to paint basically our whole house and it needs to be done NOW. And I can't wait until my parents come in a few weeks to help paint the nursery and set up the crib. Ahhhh! I've also been organizing and throwing away things pretty much daily... Can't. Stop. Organizing.
The last few days when I'm sitting for a bit and then move positions or stand I've been feeling this super sharp pain.. Maybe a cramp..? In my left butt cheek. But it feels different than sciatica.? I have no idea but it hurts!
@AmadorRose now that the organizing and purging of crap out of my house is done I spent all of this morning going through Pinterest while getting ready for work on things to make for the nursery. I think I have a problem.
Anyone else having bad low back pain??? It just hit me this afternoon at work and I can't get comfortable! No position feels good and of course Dr Google says it could be a sign or preterm labor. Trying not to be dramatic and call my doc after hours... Anyone else have this?! It feels muscular bc it hurts more when I shift positions but who knows!

I wouldn't call mine terrible, but rather a discomfort I associate with my changing shape. I've found that my support top and maternity band help quite a bit, as they support the extra weight out front and make my posture better. If it were disproportionate and sudden, like yours, I'd worry a bit.
Also, since @spatter1 resurrected the thread (thanks btw), has anyone experienced nasty pelvic pain? I believe is just the cartilage of my pubic symphysis stretching, but I feel like my pelvis is going to break in half when I walk. I don't want to make a special trip for nothing but I don't have another appointment until the 20th and I don't know whether I'm going to be able to function if this continues to worsen.
@AmadorRose Yeah it is a little concerning and now I'm feeling really tired and queasy... If this doesn't fade tonight I'm definitely calling my dr.
I haven't had bad pelvic pain. If anything some days hay I've been particularly active it will feel a little sore/tired of that makes any sense??? But it's not uncomfortable walking or anything. Sounds miserable
@AmadorRose I've been having really bad pelvic pain like you're describing. My doctor said that sitting with my hips aligned (so no crossing my legs or ankles) and getting up more carefully with my legs together should help. She also recommended stretching before bed and when I wake up, as well as walking more and trying yoga. Unfortunately, she also said that this pain is likely to worsen as the pregnancy continues.
I've been having low back pain. The support tank isn't helping my back as much as I had hoped. But I had my appointment with the OB today and she recommended wall sits and planks to help. Starting that tonight.
@fbanke42 by loving your post what i really mean is "ditto". Except for me the crying never really left I don't think!
Here's another weird one... I've noticed that just the left side of my uterus will get really hard and seem to stick out more than the right side. Is this just baby pushing on that side, or could it be BH? I definitely feel like she flipped a couple of days ago because all the sudden I feel her really high up one second then very low the next second. Could she be in position already?! Seems a little soon but what do I know?

I've still been emotional this entire time, but I haven't had a crying breakdown in a while. Last night I pretty much spent the entire evening crying over a bunch of different things... My dad is being a jerk, another medical bill came in, I have nothing done for this LO, I need to start looking at apartments (except I have no idea what we can afford because we need to pay off a good chunk of medical bills first), DH was being terrible with DS last night, and I just need a break...
DS1 was an early preparer and was already in position at my a/s. Your LO may just like that side or is pushing on that side with an arm/leg/butt.
Sorry in advance for any TMI but anyone else having serious sensitivity down below? I know there's increased blood flow and such and this is not my first kid. I didn't have it like this with the others. After time with the hubby and waxing it's soar for a few days. Not such a good time. Dr said don't worry just curious if anyone else was having the same problem
@AmadorRose I'm getting that same "tailbone breaking" feeling. Mine hurts the most as i put my foot down (mostly my left). I had it pretty consistent as little man hit a big growth spurt. Now that my body is more used to the increased size, it has lessened in intensity and frequency. Oh, the joys!

Good god I hope it lets up some! DH has taking to commenting about how I look like I'm in pain all the time...sometimes true, sometimes not. Thanks, dear.

I had it with my first and this time too. Bonus? It makes sex awesome!

I'm STILL constipated! I've made it six months like this, what's another three??
Now my ankles and legs swell up from time to time and I feel like I'm waterlogged. I guess I should really start drinking more water then.
It's a boy! Grow baby, grow! EDD: 4/22/2016
