Hi, I am a mom and a BA student at the
University of Amsterdam doing an anonymous, non-commercial linguistic study on
maternal language. May I share my academic link with your community? The guidelines
say no surveys with monetary gain but this is purely academic research questionnaire
with no monetary gain is that ok? Thanks 😊

Re: Feeling kicks thread
@mumistheword yup! Having an orgasm triggers contractions. Totally normal to get BH. Also typically (I think!), if it's hard just one one side that means it's baby pressing up against you (can't see how many weeks you are but you'd have to be a bit further along than me, 15w6d), but when your whole stomach gets hard that's likely BH.
I'm 17 weeks FTM and the feelings have been definite nudges. I swear I can feel them from the outside too.
On a side note, had a horrible cough/cold last week too, so maybe she is super exhausted from not being able to sleep through all my crazy coughing and blowing nose fits. And of course she could have been moving during this time and I never would have felt her anyways. Fun times being a mom!
Those more knowledgeable, let me know if I'm wrong, but I don't think the placenta can move locations. It implants into the uterus I believe...
I wouldn't say I'm more knowledgeable, but What to Expect says it's normal for it to move around: https://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/ask-heidi/anterior-placenta.aspx
as for BH, i have no idea if I'm feeling them or not.. my lower belly just feels uncomfortable for a minute or less & then it goes away. & usually only happens when I'm laying on my back. I'm so confused
Even now when she moves it's slightly uncomfortable and kinda tender I guess in there.
Baby #4 Due November 2017!
