I've been feeling kicks on the inside since the 4th, but I felt a strong kick today, placed my hands on my stomach and felt it against my skin. I can't wait for my fiancé to get home so he can feel the baby. He's been so jealous of me. I hope LO is still kicking tonight. My fiancé might get impatient.
@pinottoparenthood my hubby is the same way. He has felt baby once and said "yep it a baby". Seriously!? It made me sad too. But he is an awesome daddy to my 2 daughters so it just must be different to them during pregnancy. Men are weird.
I just softly pressed my fingers on my belly and he kicked them three times!!!! That was the first time I've actually seen my stomach move too!! Freaking unreal and DH is sleeping so I cant show him our trick yet!
I'm 20 weeks today. (EDD 04/30) and I still have felt no movement. Every ultrasound shows an active little boy, and I hear him kick my Doppler often, but I have felt nothing.
im now 22weeks and 5 days and i felt my first kicks at around 19 weeks i wanna say. and im small. before i got pregnant i was 121 pounds. MY question is when should u start kick counts...????

Kick counts usually start around 28 weeks. Before then baby isn't too predictable in amount of kicks, but you should pay attention to patterns. If you're not feeling baby at all after they've been active for a consistent week or so, that's concerning. Not a certain number of kicks until later on when their movements are more restricted due to not having enough space.
My baby was really kicking this morning while I was at church. Followed by a hot flash, so I guess I wasn't really paying attention to anything else. Oops. I still get so excited every time I feel a kick, but I'm sure that will fade once they start to hurt.
@kalanieileen Typical boy. Already showing you his butt. ;-) We had the same problem at first where the baby wasn't really wanting to cooperate, and now he won't stop moving. At the ultrasound he gave us a very clear shot of what he is working with, so much so that our doc actually laughed a little bit. I don't think I've ever seen my husband so happy. Best of luck, I'm sure he's gonna start moving around soon.
How did I miss this!? Ugh see this is why bump mobile has some serious flaws! At my A/S this week he definitely showed me what he's working with so you're totally right!
Today marks a new landmark as I witnessed the "alien in the belly" for the first time (23.5 weeks)! This morning my baby boy was kicking a lot and I was watching my belly, then I could literally see him move from right to left across the top of my uterus. It was so cool, it was like a wave!!!
This evening he was kicking again and my husband was able to see a few of the kicks through my belly (he's felt them before, but never saw the kicks from observing the belly). He was beyond happy and tried to make videos, but of course, the moment he turns on the camera, our camera-shy boy stops moving...
I found out on Thursday that my placenta is completely anterior and I've just started feeling definitive kicks in the last week or two, but they're irregular. This is about the time I regularly started feeling Eli though too. It'll probably be awhile before we can feel her on the outside though it seems.
After feeling strong kicks the past few weeks, today I haven't felt them. I think I have felt some soft kicks (but it could have been gas it was so light), but nothing like usual. 22 weeks. Praying to feel something stronger tomorrow to ease my nerves!
I am currently 20 weeks (due April 30) and began feeling kicks around 16 weeks, though I wasn't positive that was what they were. By 18 weeks I was sure it was him, because of the consistency of the location and the timing. He seems to sleep all day and then throw a kickboxing party from 6pm to 10pm every night.

My girl starts in with the kickboxing around midnight. I think she turns or spins too... It's the weirdest thing I've ever felt.
The other day I felt hiccups for the first time. That was actually pretty cool.
Oh, I'm 22 weeks. It took me that long to figure out the different between gas and baby
I'm finally feeling my baby!!! I've been reading everyone's posts from the beginning of this thread and was becoming so anxious/jealous that some were feeling so soon and I hadn't felt anything. My peanut is a pretty active little person, I feel lots of little twitches after drinking something really cold and sometimes while I'm eating. I'm 22w+5 now, and looking forward to more baby punches and kicks, just not to my bladder haha!
DH was absolutely adorable yesterday!! 22+2 right now and been feeling kicks for about 2 weeks at this point. Even felt one on the outside last week! Sitting on the couch yesterday she kicked suddenly and it made me sit back... DH's hand was on by belly before I could even blink! Ha ha ha, first time he's ever done that but I think he is starting to get really anxious to feel her! Unfortunately she kicked because she didn't like how I was sitting so once I moved she stopped and he didn't get to feel anything. It was precious though.
Can't wait for dh to feel baby, he is getting anxious! When he kicks hard it's only once, if he could tell me when he is gonna kick hard thay would be awesome, lol:)
I've been feeling movement for 4-5 weeks and just last week started to see it! Poor DH missed it every time because little girl would suddenly stop moving, like she could sense she was being watched. He finally got to see it tonight and his reaction was "Ew!" Then we both fell over laughing. He can't wait to tell his little girl about the fist time he "saw" her, haha!
DS2 has not been kind about kicks, punches, rolls, and shifts. Ever since the a/s, he's changed from being really calm and gentle to moving all of the time. His movements HURT. I swear I'm going to have bruises once he's bigger. I'll be one of those moms who can actually see a foot outline pushing out... DH kept his hand on the bump for five minutes last night and baby would not stop moving and kicking.
@fbanke42 I've been able to see this little girl from the outside since before my a/s at 20 weeks. No clear outline, just one part of my stomach will pop out all crazy for a second. I much prefer that to her new favorite activity of bouncing of my bladder and cervix as hard as she possibly can.
Good news is, she stops every time DH tries to feel. We used this to advantage today on our 14-hour road trip; every time she started bouncing off my bladder, DH would put his hand on my belly and talk to her. Every time, she calmed down in under two minutes. I hope it stays this easy.
My hubby felt kicks while I was sleeping, he was so excited about telling me the next morning!!! It's exciting! I feel the kicks at least 4-5 times a day, going on 25 weeks now
I feel kicks and movement all the time now, but does anyone get a strange sensation of your breath being taken away and nausea at the same time? I don't feel any actual movements during this, it is just a sudden sensation. It makes me wonder if she's like pushing upwards into my lungs and stomach?
@kaitlyn592 yes!! It used to make me nauseous all the time. I'm used to it now, I suppose.
Tbh, I still don't really like the feeling of the movements. I'm happy she's healthy and wiggling, but it's definitely a weird and sometimes uncomfortable feeling
Just wanted to add.....I felt my first "official" kick, you know the kind where you know it's the baby for sure, on December 1st which was just over the 20 week mark for me. As of today, almost 24 weeks, I feel baby boy move every day, multiple times throughout the day. It feels more like he's moving around or adjusting, rather than the kicking or pushing you hear about. Even so, late at night when I've calmed down for the evening I tend to see my stomach moving on the outside every so often. Such a cool thing!!!
@thaisac1 and it will just get more and more creepy and alien-esque! I remember at the end of my last pregnancy being self-conscious that anyone across the room could see my belly moving and distorting itself!

At almost 24 weeks is it really normal to already be feeling him at my ribs??? Because if so, I have a really small freaking torso so there isn't very much more room for him to grow lol
@fbanke42 Oh no I'm sorry!!!:( thank you for telling me that though, as awful as it is at least I know it's normal. I should really stop blaming everything on my height haha
@MariaSara1134 I'm also really short, so it may be a height thing. 5'4" and a shorter torso! To add insult to injury, DH is 6'4", so I look like a kid compared to him in size.
@fbanke42 Lucky!!!! My DH is only 5'8 lol I feel so awful for saying that xD but I'm only about 4'9 so he's perfect for me and it's ok to look like a kid, we can both be 12 forever lol
I went to the Nutcracker last night and LO was enjoying kicking along to the music. Probably the most movement I have felt in one setting of four hours. Usually he just kicks a few times and then stops for hours.
I started feeling my baby kick at 14 weeks. XD She loves to move but once her daddy touches my tummy she just stops moving won't move at all when he trys to feel her move.
Feeling a little guilty for just how done I am with the super powerful/painful kicks. Can we somehow magically get to the so-squished-he-can-only-squirm stage soon please? Movement = nice but this waking me up he's kicking so hard is no fun.
