@mumistheword yup! Having an orgasm triggers contractions. Totally normal to get BH. Also typically (I think!), if it's hard just one one side that means it's baby pressing up against you (can't see how many weeks you are but you'd have to be a bit further along than me, 15w6d), but when your whole stomach gets hard that's likely BH.
First BFP 12/2012, MMC at 9 weeks
Second BFP 6/2013, resulted in DS, born 2/23/14 :-)
Third BFP 5/2015, natural MC at 6 weeks
Fourth BFP 8/2015, hoping for sticky little brother or sister to H!
Proud SAHM to our little monkey H.
Pro Vax, extended breasftfeeder, ring sling and stroller loving mama. I don't judge you unless you don't vaccinate!
I was sitting on the toilet yesterday and swore I felt a little blip of movement, like a little poke. Ever since then I'm spending far too much time just sitting on the pot, hoping and praying maybe I'll feel another blip. Only 15w4d by the way...
With DD I felt flutters at 20 weeks and kicks at, I think, 22 weeks. I also never noticed BH with her. With this LO I felt flutters at 14 and 15 weeks. But haven't felt anything since. Though I think that's just because I've been moving. I've been so busy unpacking and organizing that I haven't noticed if baby has been moving. Thankfully I'm almost done so hopefully I'll start to feel those flutters again once I get back to my normal routine.
I felt my first flutters the other night at 16w4d. At first I was not sure what it was but then it happened again and I was sure. I felt it right before falling asleep while laying on my back. I know people say 16w for first time moms is early but I saw my OB the next day and she said it was not unheard of and when listening to the heart beat she said we have an active one so she wasn't surprised. It was the coolest feeling and I can not wait to feel it consistently.
I've been out of town training for a new job for two weeks. Go figure I would feel my first kicks away from my husband. Im so homesick. 4 more days and I can celebrate with him. I'm 17 weeks FTM and the feelings have been definite nudges. I swear I can feel them from the outside too.

So it was weird, I am STM, I started feeling movement around 15/16 weeks those first little flutters. Then last week 17/18 weeks, I was definitely feeling some good kicks and they were all relatively in the same spot. However I have not felt anything since probably Friday. Kind of wondering what the baby is doing in there and if she changed position or the placenta has moved and is blocking.
On a side note, had a horrible cough/cold last week too, so maybe she is super exhausted from not being able to sleep through all my crazy coughing and blowing nose fits. And of course she could have been moving during this time and I never would have felt her anyways. Fun times being a mom!
Those more knowledgeable, let me know if I'm wrong, but I don't think the placenta can move locations. It implants into the uterus I believe...
Well I'm definitely out of the norm Felt this LO at 10 weeks fluttering around and no, I'm not crazy. STM + posterior placenta + petite build = early feel. With DS, I felt them aorund 18 weeks. Every pregnancy is different!
@NachosAndPeaches I felt hiccups with both dd1and dd2. I didn't feel them it seems like til after 30 weeks or so, and once they were head down. The only way I can describe it is it's like a twitch (or poke from the inside lol) every couple seconds and lasting for a minute or two. Honestly it was cool the first couple times and then its just really annoying. Felt like baby was trying to poke it's way out of my vagina. Lol Sorry if that was tmi
I felt my first kick from the outside this past week and this child is very active. I feel movement on and off all day-STM here. With DD I didn't feel kicking until I was 28w and no flutters until closer to the 3rd trimester.
started feeling my little man at around 18 weeks. he was super active for a few weeks, but has since adjusted positions & i can barely feel him now i miss it.. as for BH, i have no idea if I'm feeling them or not.. my lower belly just feels uncomfortable for a minute or less & then it goes away. & usually only happens when I'm laying on my back. I'm so confused
@kyraaD sounds like BH to me! It's an uncomfortable tightening that lasts about 30 seconds then goes away. Always happens when I lay on my back as well!
Today 19w1d baby gave me a series of kicks, maybe even hiccups as they were rhythmic?!?! I could feel from outside with my hands too, very lightly. Hubby missed out on it as he was bathing the dogs...
Felt LO kicking the crap out of me tonight during yoga, and while listening to Smashing Pumpkins earlier. Apparently LO is going to take after dad hating that band, and hating sitting still...
I swear the past 2 days have been crazy with BH , belly tenderness, and pain near my right hip. It's like I hit 18 weeks and all hell broke loose! Now I'm I'm worried I've done too much lifting at work and over done it. Even now when she moves it's slightly uncomfortable and kinda tender I guess in there.
I finally started feeling little movements this past week, and felt kicks from the outside last night!!! 18+5weeks. It's just as magical with this one as it was with my first 2. And I have been having a few BH too, sex def triggers them especially towards the end of pregnancy. I've with my other 2 I never felt hiccups that I remember.
Saw kicks from the outside today when I was sitting at the table eating breakfast. I felt her moving like crazy and leaned back and pulled my shirt up and about 2 inches below my belly button on the left was a hump and I could see her kick in that spot. I was able to get it on video for DH. Weird and cool 18w2d
Woke up this morning sleeping on my belly, and i definitely felt something in that general vicinity. I'm not sure if it was maybe just my pulse (it was definitely rythmic like that, though more intermittent) or whether it was her letting me know that she didn't appreciate being squashed, but you can bet that the first thing I'm going to do when I get home tonight is flop facedown on the bed (gently, of course) and see if I can make it happen again.
@AGK2015 I think most of us are guilty of this at some point...I definitely encourage DH to play video games after I go to bed so it's nice and quiet when I lie down, as that's the only circumstance I've ever felt LO moved. I have to be really be paying attention and he distracts me too much!
I think what I'm feeling is flutters, since I don't feel gassy. I only feel it when I'm sitting or laying down and they're sporadic. It's kind of cool feeling though, at first I thought it was a muscle spasm but there was no twitching of the skin in that spot. I'm pretty sure my peanut was letting me know she/he is cozy
I'm lying in bed and pretty sure I'm feeling movement for the first time! I'm 18+4 and it feels like short gentle nudges a couple inches below my belly button. I'm a FTM, so I don't have any reference for what it should feel like, but I've never felt gas like this so I'm pretty sure it's kicks!

That's exactly how I've felt it too, and around the same time.
Pretty sure this baby is going to be a river dancer because I am being pummeled NONSTOP. Even at our autonomy scan the technician commented on how crazy he was.
I don't know wether it's because it made it feel so real or not but I hadn't found out I was pregnant until 17 weeks, after that I realised what these little flutters were in my stumoch almost like little bubbles popping. I have been feeling them ever since I am now 20 weeks. They are ally stronger and my baby moves constantly for literally about 4 hours or more a day. it's a lovely feeling. I'm a first time mum and get to find out what I'm having and how baby is on Thursday at my detailed scan x
I will be 20 weeks on Tuesday and have been feeling rolling sensations for a while and a few wiggles here and there but not much. This morning my daughter got to feel 2 big thumps! We were snuggling on the couch and I felt one and had her try, she was so excited to feel her baby sister move!!! We both finaly felt kicks from the outside. So fun!
I can't wait to see and feel kicks from the outside!! I could've sworn I've been feeling little pops in there but I just went to see my doctor and she said for being 18 weeks it's still a little early? I'm hoping since I'm only 4ft9in tall that that contributes to it but I know everyone is different and size normally doesn't matter. But I thought 15 weeks was what's supposed to be early? Anyway I'm gonna pretend like I know what I'm feeling because it's nice lol
18w+2 FTM and feeling super impatient! I think I have felt something but I'm not sure. Sometimes when I think I feel something and try to focus on it, I can feel my heart beating and then it's like I can't find that feeling anymore, only my heartbeat. A couple of times, I have felt that 'bubbles' feeling but if I stop to try to focus on it, I lose it again. Am grateful for my a/s next week so I can at least SEE the baby moving around!
@Jessiesweetpeajones tell your baby to send my baby some of those riverdance vibes!
@emgee27 I'm in the same boat! 18+3 FTM and I really want to feel something already! Gonna ask about this whole placenta placement thing at my A/S so I might at least have a good excuse for not feeling anything if it's anterior.

Wow, we are really close in due date! I have it on my list of questions for my a/s also, we'll see. I'm glad I'm not the only impatient one! Sending you riverdance vibes as well!
May be tmi.. but has anyone else felt the baby kicking during sex? I kept feeling him kick last night and I couldn't even think about sex anymore lol. It was just kind of awkward. I guess you just get used to it?

I wouldn't say I'm more knowledgeable, but What to Expect says it's normal for it to move around: https://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/ask-heidi/anterior-placenta.aspx
