When I click your name it says, "You're practically family"!
Omg I feel so empty inside.... It's still says "not much happening". Maybe it's because I don't tag people ever I just respond using ^^... It better be the reason X(
@klkonwi@virginiaunicorn11 thanks guys!!! Work was a rough transition yesterday. Today's a bit better. Of course as soon as I REALLY need to pump my patients are fully dilated and about to spit out a baby. Then I start sweating. And freaking out. Because I know it's already been long without pumping. Ahhhhhh
TTC: 1/2014
BFP: 9/24
EDD: 6/8/2015
Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
@dancegurl1118 welp I was mid pump Sunday night and had my cell with me and sure enough..... Ring ring "you need to get back here right now!" Super.......... I get that my job is important but mid pump/not pumping really sucks. I feel you girl.
I'm so angry today. My hips hurt, my nipples are protesting the number of times I need to pump, DS is just being a toddler and acting his age, but everything is making me mad today. DH just sleeps in while I try to get both kids back to sleep at 6 am. I hate being this angry because I know I am not my best self. So I'm even angry at myself. X(

Can you pump earlier than you need to or is it hard to get away then too. Your job technically needs to make accommodations to pump (I know how easy that is as a nurse) but can you talk to your manager or even HR? Do you have floater nurses that cover? I feel bad for you guys in L and D.
@Sammy K I don't have a toddler and all that but I can relate to just having one of those days where you're angry and it just seems like everything compounds to make it worse. And then you're angry because you're angry...yup. Hugs
Lately since I've been back to work I'm angry 24/7 at DH. I can't help but snap at him........ Even I know I'm being a bitch but I'm zombie tired and he needs to help out with housework more. He helps out tons with the baby when he's not traveling for work but the housework is really where I need it....... I cleaned the damn house at 2 am the other morning because I just couldn't stand it...... Help me out homeboy!!!!!!

Get a house cleaner girl, it will change your life! Working 12's and raising a baby it's pretty much a necessity >-
It's Yom Kippur and I can't complain about what I want to, because the irony would just be far too great. (It's a day of atoning for the year's sins and pledging to do better.) Womp womp.

Not a huge gripe...but we finally decided this year to buy the NFL package the first game ended up being shown on the local channels the second we got to use the 'special channels'....tonight on a local channel and the darn satellite goes because of a thunderstorm! UGH, LO is in the crib sleeping great and we actually have some time together and the TV goes out and DH...he falls asleep so ticked about not seeing the rest of the game, our team was sucking so not a huge deal but STILL!!! Oh maybe I should find a problem to actually have a reason to fuss about!

You must have satellite TV. This is a legit gripe. I have been watching sports events and had a storm wipe out the signal before. Hockey playoffs...whooo boy. Or when you go to watch the season finale of something you DVR'd and get halfway thru it and its munched because weather came thru when it was taping. I love my DirecTV, I really do, but the loss of signal during good thunderstorms is kinda a bummer. Tho... I love good thunderstorms, so at least this serves as a cue to go outside or go to the window to watch the weather
Being in a phone battle with Verizon all day + a clingy baby who only stops screaming when being held, sleeping, or eating = one unhappy momma with a massive head ache
^^^ I actually called Verizon a while back to figure out how to save some $ on my bill every month and had an awesome experience. Sorry ladies
My gripe - people who don't vaccinate for polio because "the risk of getting polio is small". You know, person...the whole reason the risk is small is strictly *because* of vaccination. Every time someone justifies this way, that 'small' risk gets bigger. Ugh. [-X
I went out to Buffalo Wild Wings last night with LO and fiancé (wassssup boneless Thursday). I got a beer and it was flat! How hard is it to serve a good beer? Plus, like, I never get to go out and drink so it was extra disappointing. All I really wanted was a nice cold yummy beer. Eff the wings. I came for the beer. I'm still mad.

We get inactivated polio in America now....meaning you can't get polio bc it's a dead virus. The ORAL polio vaccine you CAN get polio from and is no longer given in America. So tell them that (even though they probably won't care). I am pro vaccine but I do have a weird issue with the rotavirus vaccine bc there is a *small* risk of intussusseception which is a bowel emergency. My LO still got it but it makes me a tad paranoid even though it's a pretty rare side effect.

This person wasnt saying she was concerned about getting polio from the vaccine, she was just basically saying that the chance of her baby ever getting polio is small, so she shouldn't have to vaccinate for it. And I'm like - the reason why the chance of your baby ever getting polio is so small, is directly because people vaccinate for it. 8-}
The rotavirus side effect! Yes! I'm one of those people who read everything, so it was with some general curiosity after LOs vaccine appt that I read the vaccine info sheets on all the shots he got. And then I got to that one and read that and was like 'oh, awesome. Glad I am reading this AFTER he got the vaccine'. I still would've given it to him, but yeah...I didn't need that on my brain while I was watching them give it to him in the office

Ahh yes that is annoying about the polio vaccine! There is a small chance they will get any preventable disease lol. Wow. I learned about the rotavirus vaccine in grad school and have always been weird about it. There was a different vaccine for it that was pulled off the vaccine schedule by the CDC years ago bc of intussusseption. I was just reading there is a new 2 dose vaccine instead of the 3 dose rotavirus one and thought nope! Not doing that until they know what the risk is.
A very wonderful "girl" who I grew up with posted a really ignorant meme about Muslims. She is a very religious Christian, and is one of the few people I know who really lives those values and always gave me the warm fuzzies about religion, actually. Her son passed away last summer in a car accident, and she has been very uplifted and able to keep "positive" through her faith.
So I'm willing to give her a lot of credit and benefit of the doubt (my hometown is EXTREMELY rural, so she has probably never encountered a Muslim person or certainly never someone in a burqa).
I loved @mellymar 's "scroll and roll" advice, so that's what I did. I normally don't leave that crap uncommented upon but I just didn't know where even to begin with this nonsense. (It was about how it's dumb "we" can't wear bikinis in Muslim countries when "they" are allowed to wear burkas (which can "hide guns and bombs") in "our country." Ugh. Just no.
^^^ #-o so we should make them wear bikini's? Yup. Definitely a roll and scroll scenario right there.
Something like this is one of the reasons I'm actually a little concerned about raising LO in this area. It's definitely a wonderful place to raise a child, what with woods everywhere and huge yards and quiet streets that are perfect for bike riding or a game of street baseball.... But there is very little diversity here. White people, everywhere. (Imagine the sweeping arm gesture that indicates everything from here to the horizon) There are other ethnicities here, but you have to go looking for them, and where you find them is so stereotypical... And in my almost a year working at the bar, I've only met 2 LGBT people. I'm going to have to bring my friend Shadeslayer here who is Hispanic AND gay just so LO can see and learn that people are all different, but all the same.

I grew up in what is sometimes called the KKK capital of MI. I can count on one hand the number of POC/LGBT people I went to school with. I turned out ok, although I do cringe when I think of some of the well-meant but still totally racist attitudes I had when I first left for college. I don't know how exactly it all worked out, and I worry now about the same thing because I've ended up raising my own kids in Nebraska. Plus I've got to figure out how to turn two boys into awesome feminist men.
Well, this comment was supposed to be reassuring but I really have no idea what I'm doing either. The end. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I miss beer...and wine...but my LO won't drink a bottle and I would feel too guilty to make him wait to eat until it was out of my system. But beer sounds really awesome tonight
The !$&#% Bump won't let me comment at all in some threads and usually gives me errors when I try to love something. So if after you post something you find yourself anxiously wondering "but what does ChardeeMacDennis think?!?!" I'm sorry.

This is a happening with me, too, and I'm not even using the app, I use the mobile web site. So, yeah, there are somethings that y'all are saying and I'm like 'bwahahahaha, that's awesome!!!!' And I go to tap Love It and 'There was an error performing your request. Please try again later' So, yeah. Y'all are saying some funny or insightful or awesome stuff, and I totally agree and love what you're saying. But tb wants you to think I don't like you. But I do. I do like you.
