Poor little Lily can't catch a break, but it sounds like she has company. Poor kid was well for maybe 3 days, and now has such a stuffy nose that is running so much that you can hear it come out and go down. Top it off, when I dropped her off at daycare today, she gave me such a sad and confused look as she waved at me and blew me a kiss. =(( I almost cried! My poor baby!

@steamboat123‌ we lived in Singapore when I was in second grade. The American school there was amazing. For my parents it was one of their favorite countries to live in as expats. It would be a great experience!

Looks like I will for sure be an Aunt today. Sister has been admitted and got her epidural. Even though I'm having a hard time showing/feeling excitement about it all I will prob AW her later.

Anyone bought a mattress for their PnP? I just purchased what was recommended by Amazon with the PnP I bought when DD was born.

We don't have a mattress for our PnP. We just fold a comforter or layer towels under a PnP sheet. I didn't want to have to figure out how to travel with a PnP and a mattress since the mattress doesn't fold up in the case with it.

Oh my goodness, I could not do it. As much as I worry about having a pipsqueak I would probably kill myself trying to get 33lbs up the stairs. Although your arms are probably fantastic!

. Rian has always been super light too. She was 22lbs from her 1st birthday until she was 3.5, then she held steady at 24lbs from 3.5 to just over 5. Now at 8.5 she weighs in at a whopping 54 lbs soaking wet.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a lil peanut. :-) we have our 18 mo check on the 19th, but a week ago he was a bit over 22. And either 30.5 or 31.5 for height. Can't remember.

Add us to the 30+ lb. club. I wish it helped my arms look good! They're definitely stronger than they used to be, but don't look much different. Sometimes I'm a little jealous of those if you that still have little peanuts!

Well my sister has her epi, she is 7cm and as soon as they broke her water the baby went into distress. So she had an internal monitor placed and is on oxygen. They are watching her like a hawk and hope they can get the baby relaxed again.

I never got a traditional PnP because they are usually fairly heavy. We do a lot of traveling so after some research I chose the Guava Family Lotus Anywhere Crib. It sets up in seconds, the mattress basically lies on the floor (so there is either no weight limit or a very high one, I can't quite remember) and it has a zipper door in the mesh that you can use to either lay down beside baby or older toddlers can climb in and out on their own. I love that it will last us until M is pretty old. And since it does open up, it could even act as a toddler bed when she no longer needs a crib. She is comfortable in it and sleeps well, so I think that makes it easier when we put her down in unfamiliar places. At least the crib is familiar. I'll use it as long as we can for sure.

@CL8badB‌ I've had it since she was 6 weeks old and am really happy with my purchase. It was a bit of a hassle when she was really small, since it's so far to bend down into, or else you had to kneel and lay her down through the zipper door, but as she's grown it's just got better. And the fact that she sleeps so well in it is totally a bonus. MIL and I were talking about it over thanksgiving and we could totally see her using it until she's 4, just as a bed, because it would be less of a transition getting her to sleep in strange places. I'lol see in the spring if she still seems to have a ton of use left out of it I might buy a second one for LO #2, and this time I will add the bassinet conversion. It wasn't available yet when I bought mine last year.

@CL8BadB You are a wealth of information. Even though that information is now giving me a minor panic attack. We have this pnp: https://www.amazon.com/Graco-Pack-Travel-Playard-Green/dp/B005UV0UEA/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1418163337&sr=1-1&keywords=pack+n+play Amazon says maximum weight is 40 lbs, but the actual users manual for the pnp says 30 lbs.

Last time I weighed N she was 28 lbs with clothes and diaper on (and on our scale which often seems to estimate higher than the drs scale). I don't know what I'm going to do when she hits 30!!! We use the pack n play a LOT because we travel a lot. She's about to use it every night for 3 weeks!

I'm going to weigh her again when she gets home from daycare to make sure she hasn't surpassed 30 lbs yet. I'm betting she's still right around 28 and will be fine.

But now I'm all stressed.

MH got a call from a job he applied for in August and they arev giving him a start date of Jan 12. I'm, were so excited.

J was 22lbs 31 inches at his 18m apt. Hes been tiny, ill take that as he gains about 2lbs a month.

@majwv8 this is what the one we had says on the website. If you click on the product manual, that's where it mentions 30 lbs.

@CL8badB‌ I just looked it up, out of curiosity, there is an 18 lb weight limit for the bassinet add-on, but no weight limit for the actual Everywhere Crib as the mattress is supported by the ground. I think you would just have to use your judgement as far as climbing goes and transition it to a "toddler bed" with the side flap open if they ever did start trying to climb it.

Y'all my DD is freaking awesome! I just took her shopping to get her brothers something for Christmas from her. I told her she had $20 for each brother and let her go. I gave no suggestions and let her get whatever she saw fit. She picked out a cute stuffed doggie for Brantley. For Jameson..... A broom and dustpan set!!!!! Totally made my night.

@CL8badB‌ I have the bjorn travel crib and it works great. Since the mattress is on the ground there isn't a weight limit. I had ds1 in there when he was 2.5 and he Was fine in it and he is very, very long.

All of these alternatives to pack n plays are great, but they don't help us much because we use my parents', the ILs, and my sister's when we travel (so we can avoid bringing something with us).

Question for those with toddlers: what do your older kids do when traveling? Do they sleep in a regular bed by themselves? A cot?

When I was a kid and we traveled to my grandfather's house a lot, all the kids slept on cots. I think we might get something similar for our kids at my parents house. I don't know yet though....

@numbersgirl08‌ that was the reason I chose mine, it's fairly light and is small enough to be carry on baggage. I also chose it because I plan to use it as a toddler bed when we travel until she outgrows it in length. I have seen some inflatable toddler travel beds like this https://www.westcoastkids.ca/Gear/Travel-Gear/The-Shrunks---Tuckaire-Portable-Toddler-Bed . When we were kids I think we just slept in regular beds at my grandparents, or a foam or air mattress if there weren't enough beds.

@daffy2k @CL8badB - thanks - good suggestions for things to look into for toddlers. I need to find little tent sleeper things because she definitely still needs to be contained when we travel -- most places we go aren't fully baby proofed and I don't trust her not contained while sleeping!

Fwiw @CL8badB‌ the only thing that made me choose the Lotus over Phil & Ted's and Bjorn was the fact that they were coming out with the bassinet add-on. At the time I assumed we would only ever have 1 travel crib and I did want a better option for an infant when we traveled. Without the bassinet works (as would either of the other two) but if I'm ever gone for more than a few days with an infant something more at my height would be preferred. I also plan to use the Lotus bassinet in our room for the first few months rather than buying yet another piece of baby gear for in there.

Someone here had mentioned a while ago about French Toast Crunch cereal and that is was no longer available in the States. Well turns out it hasn't been on shelves in Canada since '06 either, but it's coming back in January. So maybe it will in the US too?
