I am not keeping a husband fuck up log because the wife fuck up log he would make in retaliation would be long and ridiculous and annoying. So I will be living vicariously through your logs 8->
@CalinAZ Oh, haha, sorry! I've just seen 3 different people say it on my FB feed. It wasn't directed at you.
We decided to do the split movie thing! Brent is on his way to Interstellar (which I also want to see), and I'll be seeing Mockingjay later. So excited!

Going out for dinner tonight we DH for his birthday. It was a fight to get MIL to come over and sit with DS while he sleeps. We're going to do the whole bedtime routine and all, so she just has to watch TV for 2 hours or so. It's so frustrating. No one asks to help or to watch DS and when I finally do ask it's the end of the world. I know MIL ans FIL have a lot going on, but we have watched the girls (DH's sisters 16 and 14) so much. We've watched them for overnight trips and taken them so many places. I don't see sitting with a sleeping baby is a big ordeal. It's much easier than dealing with moody teenagers. Plus, DH's one sister who got CPS called will probably be over. I don't even want to see her face, she'll probably get CPS called on me for some reason. I'm still angry about the whole thing. Vent over.
But, I'm excited to finally get a nice steak dinner and spend time with DH. We may go see a movie or go bowling, but I figure that'll be pushing it.
I get irrationally annoyed when people call Catching Fire or Mockingjay "the new Hunger Games movie." Like, no, Hunger Games was the first movie/book. Stop. Same thing happened when Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and whatever the other one was called. New Moon.
I'm in the theater to watch "The new hunger games" now.
Jealous! I was suppose to go see it tonight, but DH has hockey which we know trumps everything.
I've been sitting and rocking this child for 2.5 hours now. Talk about literal butt hurt. I'm tired of sitting!
Stand and rock? Heh
Haha, that's how the nap started. I would prefer just putting her in the crib and walking away, but she wanted no part of that. Thankfully she woke up not long after I posted that.
OMG DH shaved the 2 year old's hair. I cried. I'm so livid. He had the most beautiful blonde hair. He was so cute with his haircut. And right before the holidays and all the pics???

I don't even know how I'd react to this. That is an important decision that you two should have been able to make together.
Omfg Amber (Parenthod) annoys the shit out of me. I'm only on like season 5 so maybe there's hope but she drives me insane.
How come? She always seem so high-strung and like goes from okay to belligerently upset in like 3.2 seconds. That's the only thing that bothers me about her. I just started season 6. I feel like we should start a Parenthood thread or something.

DH has wanted to shave DS1 head pretty much since day 1. I have fought it for almost 3 years. He now agrees this was a horrible idea. It looks awful on him! DH has a shaved head and I know it bothers him that DS1 looks nothing like him. However DH has a nice tan, dark hair...DS1 is whiter than white, blonde and he has the most massive head! His hair helped hide that. DH promises to never shave his head again because "he looks like a giant fuzzy beach ball". Why can they just not listen? I see a lot of Santa hats on Micah's head this winter.
I accidentally chose a seat right in front of a family who brought 3 children between the ages of 2-5. You bet your butt I moved! Not going to let anyone ruin this me time. Who brings children that young to this kind of movie!?

That and the fact that she acts clueless to some situations. When she got hurt in that earlier season I was so annoyed with her and when she cause Ryan to go mad in the bar I wanted to punch her. How in the fuck did she not see that happening? There were so many signs leading up to it based on her behavior alone.
Oh and when I brought it to his attention that he failed to run it, he said "well TECHNICALLY, you didn't ask me to run it. We just fought about running it." LMAO! He's so ridiculous.
Omg We'd end up in a screaming match after that. Men!
Just got sneak peeks from our photo shoot today! They turned out so well! I suspect I am going to wind up buying more than the number of poses that came with the package. I made sure I put out today to make DH happy and agreable. Lol
Forgive me while I AW one of the pics but they are just so cute
@swerbtastic3351. She had lights in front of them and the floor was covered in a reflective material that looked like plexiglass - the lights behind them were mounted on a black backdrop. They were actually pretty far behind them but it doesn't look like it in the photos. This is the first year I have gotten these done but I have seen her work from previous years. She didn't always have so many lights behind them - it used to be more of a black backdrop with some strings of lights hanging off it. Still looked great though. I actually might have liked it a bit better because in some of the photos this year, if the kids are wearing light colours, they get washed out by all the lights behind them.
Movie was a success! Enjoyed Mockingjay (;) ), and Evan did just fine with DH. He took him for a walk in the ergo so that he would nap, and ate 3 ounces from the bottle, making me think all of DH's drama the last time I left about the bottle was perhaps a little exaggerated. I'm thinking that maybe I should be gone more often - DH needs to build up some confidence!

You know it's time to lower the crib when... LO sits straight up... in his sleep.
We thought he was going to wake up and holler, but he proceeded to face plant into the mattress and start snoring again.
Kinda proud of the kid.
This has been happening to me too. It's hilarious to watch until she hits her face on the side of the crib. She does this weird whole body rock/circle thing then just falls.
LO has always been a huge bedtime spazz (apologies to any offended Europeans). Kid starts out in one spot, and pings around the crib all night long, whomping his head into the sides, pitching, rolling, butt in the air, grunting. It's been his signature since 7 weeks. The mesh bumpers were literally life (sleep) savers.
Ok, so you mommies of BLW'ers. Do your LOs have teeth? And if so, do you get choking incidences? LO has two great bottom teeth. I'd love to BLW, but damn if the kid isn't hell bent on slicing/dicing anything we give him (and then of course he ugly chokes, not just gags). First and last: apple. Now he is strictly on purees. I should probably try to find the BLW thread or the stupid question thread, but I'm passing the computer back and forth with DH.

You really have to do what you're comfortable with. They don't need teeth, but my first wasn't one to slice and dice when his came in either. DD has neither teeth, nor interest in food yet, so we haven't really started BLW with her yet. You could try something softer, like banana/avocado/soft pears that is easier for him to mush himself. The gagging sucks (but my first wasn't much of a gagger either, so I'm SURE that DD will totally be a gagger and puker) but it's how they learn early on what sizes to chew things down to so that it's safe to swallow.
Thanks, swerb
I may have just a voracious eater on my hands. Even with banana, he mushes the whole thing into his face and takes off huge hunks. No choking episodes, so that went ok with supervision, then I tried spears and slices (at a restaurant). DS managed to shave off not one but two huge chunks of apple and got them so horribly lodged that I freaked out and had DH hold him upside down (in restaurant) while I swiped his throat to remove them. (This was after total red face choking). Now I'm totally petrified. Tomorrow will be our Thanksgiving, so I'm assuming I'll let him try some dressing and some cranberry sauce but that may be it. Sigh...
DS1 was not allowed to eat apples for the first 2 years of his life because he would choke on them every time. That is the ONLY food he has ever struggled with. I haven't even tried them yet with G.
I'm so behind! I hung out with mil all day and then went to work and now going on a date with DH to go see mockingjay! It's our first real date in so long, and my first movie in the theater since May. We really needed this night :x
DD2 has just erupted a tooth it's still gum line however. We do BLW and purées when she's with my mom. Gave DD2 an apple slice today, she ate the whole thing. I guess she gummed it to death.
Swerb, what kind of lens are you using? I use the one I got for DH's birthday last year. I can set it as low (big?) as 1.4f and get pretty a pretty well blurred background. I was thinking of set up in our hallway. A sheet and lights hanging at the end, baby in the foreground. Once we get a tree up, I'll have to figure something out for family shots.
I just did some photos and ended up using a 35mm 1.2f lenses that I borrowed from a friend. We just hung a sheet off the dining room table and put lights up, baby about 4 feet in front, and voila! I should have taken a photo of the entire area just for posterities sake - the room was a disaster!

@mamrotu73 I think it's cool that we did the same thing today, except I'm watching "The Hunger G-B" which is obviously better than Hunger Gam.
FFSC: I sneaked in ChickFilA, candy and a 20oz. drink into the movie.
