Whoa, poop is a whole different ball park. DH is poop-shy, just like @ashleypixie. We don't discuss that in our house lol. I don't like to fluff in front of DH, but like walking down the stairs while pregnant I couldn't help it.
I hate the words: fart, queef, pussy, moist, and the saying "dick cheese"
He's not interested in crawling but he easily goes from sitting to belly then back to sitting. Touché kid.
@deidremaria - mine's the opposite - crawls like a champ, but thinks sitting is a waste of time. Why sit when you can move? He's still so top heavy .
I've been having one of those weeks where I don't want to do anything productive besides care for the little boy - I may be losing my SAHM card. DH has been awesome picking up some of the slack, but I feel guilty. Though, to be fair, instead of doing something about it, I'm watching Gilmore Girls and drinking Hot Cocoa. So, I guess I don't feel too guilty....

Looking at my kids sleep is possibly the most beautiful thing. It makes me realize every night that whatever negative thoughts or actions that occurred through the day are minor. I have it all, I really do.
Thanks for all the sweet and encouraging words, y'all! RTT love is a wonderful thing. Big hugs to all of ya.
I'm with you on that sleeping baby thing, @kseccomb17 .. I got home from work tonight after two really long days where I was away all day and haven't seen my kiddo, and I just went in the nursery to watch him sleep. Perfection. Chubby cheeked, butt in the air, passed the hell out perfection. I'm so tired but I can't wait for him to wake up hungry so I can squeeze him.
I'm slowly building an actual wardrobe. I find myself wearing the same things all the time. I didn't have much since I wore a flight suit everyday before. Bought myself a shirt and two pairs of (not combat) boots today!
What are your go-to basics? I'm a jeans + t-shirt gal most of the time but I feel like this is my chance to expand and need suggestions. Especially for cold weather.
scarves, funky accessories to add some interest to t-shirts and jeans. I love skinny jeans + tall boots + long sleeve t and cute puffer vest. Maybe leggings with a tunic every now and then.
Im going to lose my mind if this kid does not nap today. almost the whole week shes taken one nap a day for thirty minute. Aside from monday where she took a 2 hr nap at 3 which was super helpful for bed time. Ive been trying and trying and she will not f'ing nap this morning. Do I just leave her in the crib for half an hour and wait and see? I dont know what to do anymore.
I'd say try it - what's the worst that can happen?
Has anyone started brushing LO's teeth/gums? I'm thinking of starting now that he has a tooth and eats solids regularly.
I got a little toothbrush and we've started brushing her teeth after bathtime. She has four teeth up top and two on the bottom, luckily she likes the brushing. A dental assistant friend of mine said we don't need toothpaste at this point, just the act of brushing is good enough. I brush the teeth then I let her try it (mostly she just bites the brush, but I figure it's the thought that counts).
That's what we do. Well. DH is supposed to, as part of the routine, but he forgets more often than not.
I've spent this morning getting Legos on sale at Walmart Was this act of love for my kids? Nope, DH is obsessed with Legos and is currently collecting the Lego City collection...
So.... My groceries are trapped in the bed of the truck. The damn tailgate froze shut and we have a bed cover. Good thing it's only 20 degrees out. I don't think they will spoil.

Bucket of warm/hot water?
That would probably work but I would have to let it dry before closing, which is nbd.
It is new-stuff weekend at our house. I ordered a memory foam mattress off Amazon yesterday and it has already been delivered. Now I have a huge and heavy box mattress on my porch, waiting for me to get home.
Tomorrow our new stove is being delivered.
Very excited for my goodies.
Both kiddlets had better nap at the same time this afternoon so I can try out the new mattress.

Just found out that while watching DD last night, my SIL gave her onion rings. Really? Of all the 8000 food suggestions I gave her, we leave for an hour and she gets onion rings.

Ugh, so annoying! Hopefully she hasn't had any bad affects from it. If it was me I would definitely let her know I didn't appreciate that.

I would have bad reactions to onion rings and I'm not an infant.
Good point! She definitely doesn't sound like the brightest.

Sometimes DH calls while I'm nursing. I am not going to dump the baby to run and get the phone, obviously. But he doesn't leave messages. So I don't know if he called to say "I'm on my way home" or "I'll be super late." And he can't have his phone at work, so I can't just call back to check. Annoying!

This cracks me up! I can't even eat those things. I really don't even understand what the fried part even IS. It reminds me of the time my best friend took DS to Denny's when he was six months old. I got so mad at her when I came home just because he smelled bad. He didn't even eat anything.
Skipped a lot of posts today. I'm sorry. Dylan and I had a SUPER busy day. We had coffee with a MTB girlfriend of mine, visited my aunt to pay her condolences (my uncle passed away Sunday) and spent the afternoon with my mom. We also did some thanksgiving shopping with my bf's sister and my sister.

Poutine is the freaking bombing I could eat it all day every day.
Sleeping baby is my favorite. I kiss his bald spot and play with his hair when he's passed out
