They went and visited her today, she has no feeling in her back legs, and still can not pee on her own, their options are to put her down, go to a university for an mri or wait 3 days to see where she is then. All fine and normal right? They got ANOTHER doxie already and this one isn't even gone or helped yet.
This is their third doxie in 3 months. Now I'm judging super hard.
Haven't thrown her out a window yet, but the pup keeps smacking us with her fracking cone and I'm feeling decidedly homicidal. Doesn't help that she insists on being within 3 inches of either our faces or our heels at all times, and has no concept of personal space. Wine in 3...2....1
@Roufi I meant to tell you earlier that I loved your use of the word defenestrate! Glad no one actually went out the window.
Today I got to see the Emancipation Proclamation. It is only on display for 36 hours a year, and this year it is here for the sesquicentennial celebration. So cool! It was a very long day at the museum, but a once in a lifetime opportunity.
My dad insisted we go to Disney on ice. So, DS and I went with all of them. Of course, They got stuck in traffic so they were late and I was standing outside with a baby in the cold for a half an hour. After I got over my rage, DS ended up loving it. All the lights, music, and characters. Plus, for once he didn't scream when he saw my dad. All around okay day. Now DH and I are getting along and eating shrimp to end the day. Hugs to everyone!
My LO is so ready for the time change - NEXT SPRING!! She needs to spring ahead not fall back!! She got up at 5am again today. I tried keeping her up late tonight but just couldn't. She got up from her last nap around 2:15 and refused to take another... It took everything in me to keep her distracted and up til 6:45. Now she will be up early for sure...... Stupid daylight savings might be the straw that breaks me.
Successfully kept DD up an hour late tonight. Hopefully this means time change transition will be okay?! I can hope, right? She's passed out on DH right now.
Add me to the screaming at bedtime for an hour club. It took four hours and an argument with DH for DS to settle, then he slept five hours. I think it was his stomach because he ate avocado for the first time last night and finally farted when I laid him down. Poor kid.
That went surprisingly well. Same bed times all around, DS woke up at 7:10, his normal time is 7:30 so he slept almost an hour longer than usual. And baby is still asleep (after waking at 10, first 2 am, and 6) currently 7:15 so I'm calling it a win.
Time change went ok here too. I was scheduled to wake LO up at 3am for a dreamfeed, which I did, but I forgot about the time change so I think he stretched that feeding out by an hour completelyby accident.

Time change success! C went down at her normal 7 pm; up at the new 3:30 to eat and its 6:30 and she is still asleep! Of course I'm wide awake instead of getting extra sleep.
I don't think dd even noticed the time change lol. Went to bed at the same time and woke up at the same time lol. (Even though it is an hour earlier) 11-8
Night weaning is going well! I decided he was going to bed too early so I let him nap from 530-630 when he's miserable exhausted and then when he wakes up we do solid play bath bed. He's been going down between 830-9 and only waking up once for a bottle around 4. Then going back to sleep til 8! He fussed a little around midnight but I sent SO to get him instead and he rubbed his back back to sleep. We were down to 2oz at that feeding per listening to @edoliesmom help! Thank you thank you for showing me that book! And I wrote a novel, happy Sunday hope everyone gets a nap today. Almost 7 months and maybe we finally figured out this sleep thing..
DH has had a mancold for over a week and I am over it. I am grossed out by his hacking and coughing and blowing his nose, and I am sooo over how much he wakes the baby up, since we're travelling and baby is in the same room as us. I know it's not really his fault, but ugh. Gross.
It's so gross when DH clears his throat! Why can't they be more descrete? Also it's such a harsh sound that it startles and wakes LO up, when a quieter throat clearing wouldn't have.
Thanks ladies. She was supposed to be at my aunts house at 6 this morning to head to Florida and she never showed up. Police were notified right away, and a statewide BOLO was put out along with a surrounding counties APB.
And my aunt just called, she's been found and is really confused and my aunt is headed to pick her up. Thank you for your prayers!!

: / that's strange they have gotten so many in rapid succession...
In my experience when deep pain is gone the chances of feeling returning are pretty slim. Deep pain is different than the ability to feel and move the hind legs.
If the dog is to have a chance she really should see a neurologist. At least for the consult. If surgery isn't something they'd persue then steroids and supportive care is the next best thing I guess.
They had a doxie that she ran over, 2 weeks later they got shorty (the one currently at the vet) now they have one names rusty. It's not like this is their only dog, they have at least 2 large dogs that they've had for years.
I would understand if shorty was no longer there that they would get another dog for her son, but she's still hanging around... I can't even.
I believe they are now waiting until Monday to see where things are, she posted that shorty has spinal damage and some broken vertebrae. @nicole mackenzie

DD is getting ready for naptime and is asking for chocolate from her halloween stash over and over again. So while I am explaining to her that she can't have some right now, DH decides that this would be a good time for him to eat some.... Seriously?! Grrrrr
I was hoping someone else could organize it so I could participate this time cause it seems so fun. I was thinking like a flat rate box/envelope exchange so shipping didn't get out of control. If no one is up for it then I guess I will again.
If you organize I'll be your buddy ETA: or we could use Elfster again
Is anyone else's LO starting to transition to 2 naps a day?! Seems early to me but she seems to want to go longer stretches between the 1st and 2nd nap. When the 2nd is a good one the 3rd goes out the door... I am wondering if its time to switch to 2-3-4.....
I really try not to be that person who trumps everyone's 'problems' with mine, because I find it super obnoxious and arrogant. But my friend keeps CONSTANTLY complaining to me how tired she is. Dude. You have no kids, no pets, you rent a condo so you literally don't even have a house to upkeep...every time I go there it's like a bomb went off so I know she's not cleaning...lol.
She just texted me at 10:30 am saying she just woke up, she's exhausted and can't possibly meet me for brunch.
SHUT THE FUCK UP AHHHHHH YOUR LIFE IS SO EASY
/end rant Feels good to get that off my chest. Haha
