Cora's new nighttime ritual seems to be waking up to poop at 3am, followed by an hour-long song and dance party. Which mommy apparently needs to be present for. (:|
@deidremaria glad you like them! I didn't mean to pick so many but Cora and I went for a long walk and there were just so many pretty ones, I got carried away!
I'm quite happy with the amount! Thank you for getting carried away
I've finally lost it. Yesterday I get to work an hour away and left my laptop at home. I thought I had an appt for PF this morning and just remembered its next Monday....not even a Tuesday and the nanny isn't scheduled until 10am, and my its my new hire's 2nd day at work.
We're all entitled to a bad day or two. Hugs. Hopefully everything gets straightened out!
David Tennant does not do an American accent well. Probably better than I could do Scottish. But I'm not getting paid for it.
Anyone else watching Gracepoint? It's weird-ish... Like it is so far just american Broadchurch. The ending has to change at least right?
Baaah - I totally meant to watch this! Maybe DH had it DVR'd? [-O<

You guys my son's birthday is in 18 days and I have not planned anything (we were going to do a doubleparty and the other parents were being indecisive and then decided on a different weekend). 3rd birthday party ideas and go! I called to see about pony rides at our house ($175 for one hour) but they were all booked. Boo. Perfect price and a special activity. Now to find something like it.
Our local fire department will show up to birthday parties with the truck and let the kids look, touch, etc. assuming they aren't busy. All you have to do is call and talk to them - check and see if your local department does something like that maybe? It's free, and I don't know any little boy that doesn't love a fire truck!
Honestly @poru, my first thought was that if we're talking the #samekid he'd probably prefer a tractor ride to a pony ride, but I didn't think you could rent trucks or tractors!
Know any farmers? My DH would happily do tractor rides if DD asked, lol. And in a tractor like this...
(Yes, these are from our wedding. And yes, this was how we got from the church to the reception, lol.)
Thanks for checking in ladies. My appt is tomorrow at 8:30 and I am getting increasingly nervous. I'm going to crazy rant because I'm freaking out.
This pregnancy is totally different. I haven't had sore breasts, but idk if it's because they took a beating during BF and pumping, so they are less sensitive to change. That's freaking me out. Also, my MS isn't nearly as bad as it was with DS, but I think I'm doing better at controlling it. I'm just so worried about this baby. I want so badly to see a healthy baby on the ultrasound tomorrow. The doctors office said to drink 32 oz before my appt. Which I'm assuming is because I'll be getting an abdominal ultrasound, but at 8 weeks is it accurate since the baby is still so small?
Phew, thanks for that. I feel 100x more comfortable telling you guys then May15. I forgot how tough the beginning of a board is. I'll let you all know how it goes tomorrow.
Not sure exactly what happened, but I put DS to sit on the floor while I cleaned his high chair tray, and when I came back he was on his back underneath the bar three feet away. :-?
So next week is bosses day and while for the most part I don't think employees should really have to do shit for their bosses, mine is amazing. She pays me well, is super flexible, and when she buys sample clothes always makes sure to buy in my son's and brothers size. Also she sought me out for this work from home job and I'll be forever grateful for it. So the multipart question:
I want to send her something. Is an edible arrangement good? Also for the other employees should I put their names on the cards? Should I ask them first? If I don't I feel like maybe I'm being a kiss ass and a jerk but I also don't want them to feel like they don't have to do anything.
Edible arrangements are delicious, whenever someone gets one within my work group we always share. Seems to happen often, haha.
I would ask the others if they would like to pitch in. If your boss is that great to you, they may be thinking the same thing (or might not know its next week! We forgot last year, oops...).
@ambarnett1 I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! Like Vinny said, every pregnancy can be different. My sister had zero MS when carrying my nephew but spent a few days in the hospital because of it with my niece. You just never know!

When I was 8 weeks with the abdominal they could see the heart beat. And they still might do the internal but with you drinking the fluid it gives them options. They do also say every pregnancy is different even within the same woman. A friend of mine had no ms with her first and then her second she was so sick. At least you are having symptoms and them being less severe is a great thing!
This.
The fluid is to fill your bladder so it pushes your uterus above your pubic bone. That way (hopefully) the sonographer doesn't have to use the internal probe. But don't think anything is wrong if they do use it, some just prefer to even though it can be pretty invasive for some people.
Measurements at this point are usually pretty spot on.
Good luck, we are all thinking of you and I'll admit to being slightly jealous - though we aren't going to try just yet, we will be soon!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have been yelping between work projects trying to find people who are available. Now I am on a "nighttime movie in the backyard" kick since all of the petting zoos etc seem to be booked. But projectors are expensive and cant find one to rent. I am trying to avoid the bounce house at home thing, because we have been to 6 parties recently that did it. The kids loves it, just feel like its been done a lot recently.
We did this for DS' s 4th birthday in august, I rented a projector from an aquetance had popcorn and everything and the kids got bored and distracted after about 30 minutes, so I wouldn't suggest it for 3 year olds. Luckily we have farm animals and a tractor to use as distraction.

Pumping for the first time in 3 months! I'm excited to see how much milk I produce. Hopefully I won't be disappointed! Last time was like 3 oz. from one boob and 2 from the other. I have my boobs covered that way it'll be like a surprise once the 20 minutes is up. )

@Vinny424 what do you do?? I caught the mention of sample baby/kids clothes and it piqued my interest..
@nobody the new Apple update is shit. My ipad barely works now and links redirect about 18% of the time. Yay.
So, when we're all up with the LOs tonight, look out the window for the lunar eclipse!
I want to try to take photos of it in progress, if I can!
I did that last time I was somewhere we could see one! It turned out pretty neat!
I took a photo of the complete eclipse and sent it to @avidkeo. Love that technology allows us to share an eclipse with the other side of the world, instantly!
