So the new bump app finally recognized that I'm not 65 weeks pregnant. =D>
It didn't for me. It still seems to think I'm 42 weeks (even though I never made it to 40). :-w
You have to go to your updates let it update, then it will ask you if you want the new app. Ad it's downloads a whole new App... It's a hot mess, in typical bump fashion
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
My nephew (6th grade) may get expelled from school. My brother and SIL have nor said why but we think he may have brought a gun to school. Why do we think this? Because my brother gable him a gun for his birthday. I can't even...
That's such stupidity on the parents part. No matter what your feelings are on guns I think most everyone can agree there is NO reason for a 12 year old kid to own a gun. Sorry lady but your brother is a fucking idiot.
My 10-year-old nephew owns his own hunting rifle. I see no problem with that, though I get the feeling if a gun were brought to school it wasn't a rifle. So far as handguns go, in total agreement with you, though I have to add that even if they did give the kid one... why in the everliving fuck could he get to it on his own?? BIL keeps nephew's rifle locked up with his own guns!

Those who are anti-guns, are you going to ask parents of LO's friends if they have guns in the house and if they are locked up? I've been thinking about this a lot lately. We have no guns, but it does concern me that my kids could just as easily get into them at someone else's house. This doesn't seem like something you normally ask about before a playdate.
So far the plan is to show our kids what a gun looks like at a young age and tell them that if they ever see one, they need to find an adult right away. Other than that, I've got nothing.
@fireflygirl12 I'm not anti gun, we have guns and they are locked up. However I have no problem asking friends if they have guns and they are locked up. My child safety is always first.

Stop! Don't touch! Leave the area, tell an adult! I even have a dance that goes with it. And an annoying song that gets stuck in your head.
Yeah, I volunteer my time teaching gun-safety programs for kids.
I got a job!!! I don't start until the 15th but I got a job!!! Mid shift 12-12 on a 13 week contract. 10 days on 10 days off.
Also the medi-cal finally went through! Girls got vaccinated and saw a doctor. Unfortunately his Colombian accent was so thick I didn't understand a word he said.
First the water is off when I went to take a shower 3 hours ago, so I get started on dinner instead. Now that it's back on, there's no hot water! This is like the fourth time in 3 week that they've had issues with the water and had to shut it off without notice. A neighbor that's lived here longer said that they've had these kind of issues for months, that there's a big issue but that they only do small, minor fixes instead of fixing the root of the problem.

@reddawnsrevenge Yayyy! That's amazing on all counts- congrats on the job and yay for the doctor's visit. I'm so psyched for you, and glad to see you back here.
@RedDawnsRevenge it's so good to hear from you!! So happy you got a job and the girls have seen a doctor now. Seems like things are starting to look up for you, momma!
Looked up the Wonder Weeks again for shits. It doesn't seem like anyone has been referring back to it lately... Week 26's stormy period can last up to 5 weeks. To believe or not believe?
@roufi I do event planning for a major software company located in the Seattle area. My hours are normally pretty reasonable, especially since I work from home 90% of the time. We just hit some weird spike where all the things needed to be done at once apparently. It wouldn't even be so bad if DH wasn't working so many hours and I didn't have 2 sick/teething kids.
@deidremaria glad you like them! I didn't mean to pick so many but Cora and I went for a long walk and there were just so many pretty ones, I got carried away!
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
Edit: Oh, apparently I had to download the new app. There's a pregnancy Bump app and a baby Bump app. Hmmm....

Fuck, I thought my ticker was messed up because it says that Owen is 5 months & 3 weeks old. That's almost half a year! Is this real life?!
ETA: Why didn't pregnancy weeks go by that fast?

@ambarnett1 it's always so exciting to hear your news, and always makes me second guess my not-preg certainty....good luck!
@fireflygirl12 lady, you've got a lot on your plate, really hoping that you get some sleep soon. What kind of work do you do?
That's a really tough call. I would probably go with Northern lights.
