Woke up to my cat Seamus's shenanigans; he'd decided that the thread on my sewing machine was an excellent toy, and unwound it, drug it through the dining room, under the coffee table in the living room, under the console table in the living room, up the stairs and into our bedroom. In the process of trying to find the end, the dog managed to get tangled in the string, as did my DH!
Anyone else feel like their nipples are about to be chewed off?! I feel like I'm back at month 1 with this pain

I had a livejournal, but I'm sure I can't remember what my username was. Rats! Mine was for sure full of song lyrics and angst
Oh man, I had a livejournal, xanga, kiwibox, blurty...i was so strange.

Not to show off or anything but... The boys are still sleeping. From 7:30pm until 7am (and counting). They woke up at 1:30 and I had to go shake their bums (Patrick took a while) but they went back to sleep without eating. I legit went in a couple times to make sure they are still alive.
Everyone is at the Alabama game tailgating and even my parents got to see fucking guns and roses in concert last night while I'm here alone with my two kids. ( When did my life get so LAME?
Does anyone decorate seasonally? It's so big here in the Midwest but I feel like it's really strange to decorate each season.. Maybe it's just the way I was raised though?
I do small things like change my front door wreath, candles (fall scents vs winter scents vs summer scents), and my table runner. Then I decorate for holidays.
Once I logged onto the bump from my computer it went back to my avatar of two really cute boys. When I was on mobile this morning it was that stunning man holding a razor.
Hahaha, @mommyofmac She screen shot my post of my screen shot (inception, much). I screen shot my responses earlier when I noticed my Patrick turned into a handsome model, and Carter, a life size razor. When I logged onto bump on my computer it turned back into Patrick and Carter, so I posted my screen shot.
@LuckySquare 's avvy is the Old Spice guy unless I'm greatly mistaken...and she's here a lot. @KatieGummow why u steal her avvy? @MaiTaiBeth your plans sound amazeballs!

I go midway on the seasonal decor - no wall hangings, but we'll change wreaths, centerpieces, accent items. I'm actually making some stuffed fabric stacking pumpkins right now. The seasonal stuff tends to blend in with the holiday stuff. I'm from the Midwest though, and so are my parents and DH so :-??
18 hour car ride with a baby... Cry now to get it out of your system and pray to whatever higher power you believe in? I hope someone else can be more helpful but I dread anything over 3 hours with mine.
I'm finally starting to lose some weight again! 30 down total from when I gave birth, only 20 left to PP weight. Another 20 after that and I'll be ridiculously happy with my weight.
Any tips for an 18 hour car ride with a 5 month old?
We did a 13 hr ride and left around 10pm -- LO slept through the night like he usually would would, 1 or 2 wake ups / feedings. Stopped around 9am and stayed the day with BIL and then left the following day around 7am. LO did great
@RedDawnsRevenge yes, our air is much better. Sorry it rolled your way. I can definitely sympathize. I had ash on my car the other day, and it definitely looks like fog
I decorate for the holidays, but Halloween and Thanksgiving both involve a lot of "general fall shit" (pumpkins that aren't jack-o-lanterns, gourds, mums on the front porch, etc). I have wreaths for Halloween, Fall, Christmas, Valentines, Easter, and summer. I don't have Spring / Summer decor -- maybe just a lighter table runner or different candles.
@dani+california I felt bad for my boy too last I was hungover ( first time since prior to preg ) like sorry I don't feel like playin cause mama drank many vodkas last night just didn't sit well with me Not that I'm not having drinks just not as many Hope u feel better. Slushy and fries works for me
I do Christmas from November to February. And I don't replace decorations I just add Christmas stuff to everything. March-November = nice(ish) normal house. November-February = a leetle too many decorations. I love Christmas. It's such a beautiful holiday

I think my child's body has been taken over by the devil. I seriously cannot stand this. He was up every single hour last night, refused to nap today, and has been a screaming mess all.day.long. I am burnt out.
So I just went to a FRG womens luncheon with some other company wives. The one that threw the event had a schedule on the wall for their entire day. Like every 30 minutes she had something for her kids. I'm over here like if you can get me off the couch by 10 then it's a good day. I envy people like that!
Does anyone use a booster high chair? Like one of the ones that hooks up to the dining chair? I got a high chair from my baby shower but also got a bumbo and tray, so I traded it in for other stuff. Now DS doesn't fit in his bumbo and we don't have a high chair. And I don't want to take up a ton of space in my dining room.
I use one that buckles to a dining chair for that exact reason. No room in the apartment for a separate high chair! It works pretty well, and when I'm feeling ambitious it's not a bitch to move to the couch or another room if I don't want to feed LO at the table.
