Today she dropped by in time to see LO in the middle of a shitfit. She just said, "aww" and reached out to take him. I said no. She didn't stick around.

  • Daytime feeding: does anyone follow a schedule ie: every 2 hours like at night? Or do you just feed whenever LO wants?

I've been just feeding him when he says hungry? I have a chubby boy! lol

I'm solely feeding on demand, unless it's at night and then I make sure she doesn't go more than 4 hours (but she usually doesn't anyway). During the day she nurses every 2-2.5 hours. I guess now that I think about it, she's kind of put herself on her own schedule.

I'm thinking that probably didn't answer your question, eh?

ETA: I'm so jealous of what you've got going on right now. What beer are ya sipping?

Too lazy to make my own thread for this:

Anyone else get Mirena with a side of constipation? It's making me glad I still have most of the colase they prescribed me.
Not enough to take anything. I probably wouldn't have connected it if you hadn't mentioned it. I am spotting however.

I don't post much in RTT but I read occasionally and I want to share my rant.

I hate how breastfeeding makes moms miserable! I want to tell everyone to quit and make their lives easier. But I'm a hypocrite because BFing didn't work out for me (latch issues) and I'm living the EP life. I can't quit because I feel so guilty!! And I have no idea why. I am totally fine with formula. I even considered FF from the beginning. I hate that breastfeeding is such a mindfuck.
  • DS just shit out his car seat in an epic fashion. Anyone know how to get poo out of the straps?

@bootsiebabe‌ we throw it in the washer and hang to dry.

@Emily041285‌ same here. I've left LO a few times and I'm looking forward to going back to work.
  • @bootsiebabe‌ DS has done that twice! Washer.

  • I feed in demand.
    LO is 5 weeks tomorrow
She nurses every 3 hours at night and every 1-2 hours during the day.

I just do things on her schedule. Maybe when I get to the last month of maternity leave ill try some sort of schedule...
  • Ladies, you're not supposed to wash car seat straps in the washer. They aren't supposed to be submerged in water at all. Strictly spot clean with soapy water and a wash cloth

I can't get my straps out. I took the infant insert padding off and put it in the washer and am hitting the straps with soap and peroxide on the poop spots. Fingers crossed.

  • I'm still on this pedicure thing. Am I crazy to take dd with me tomorrow? I was thinking of either wearing her or waiting until she's just eaten and put her in the car seat. Is that bad?
  • According to DS's 1 month check-up he is 90th percentile for both height and weight. He doesn't look that big to me, but you can't argue with numbers I guess! On the other hand, DD is 10th percentile for weight and 50th for height. So little brother is big and big sister is little. Whaaaaaat?

I'm not really paranoid about most things (at least I don't think I am) but I wouldn't want to bring a baby in there because of the fumes. Plus what could be worst than having to stop mid pedicure
Yeah the fumes were my hang up. I guess I'll just have to wait till he "has time" to watch her.

We watched this to get through the last two weeks of pregnancy! It's awesome and will definitely do well for long stretches of lonely nights!

  • @ColleenSwerb‌ you're totally right! Idk how you would even get the straps off. I was thinking of the shoulder pads! My brain is dumb today.

I might just be a crappy parent, but I don't think I'd be worried about the fumes if I was familiar with the place and knew it was well ventilated. If you're only there for an hour and you don't walk into it smelling strongly like a nail salon it's probably fine. Now if I worked at a nail salon, I wouldn't have my baby in the salon all day long, but that's another story.

I love it! DH is a fan, too. Can't wait for the next season!

Which reminds me: Anyone know when the next season of Doctor Who starts?
I love me some nerdy British shows.
Love love Sherlock and Dr. Who!! I also heard August for the new Dr. but yeah, that might be for the UK...
