I've told DH more than once - if he wakes her up at night, he gets to put her back to sleep.

Advice from grandma: Breastmilk isn't good for babies. Give her formula with cereal in it. And if she doesn't do well on that, give her 2% milk. Put her to sleep on her stomach because she will be cozier that way and sleep longer. They can tell if a baby "has SIDS" and prevent it. Don't eat fatty foods or you'll make her colicky. Car seats today aren't good for babies. They should go back to making bassinet-style ones where the baby can lay down flat in the car. Don't worry about holding her so much. She can just lay down most of the time. Guess who won't be spending any unsupervised time with DD? Times sure have changed, I guess.

Holy this is the first time in weeks that Penny fell asleep without being on the boob. She has a soother and passed out next to me on the bed. I'm not even touching her!! Now to somehow move her to her crib...

DS will only sleep if being held today. ALL day. It's almost 11 and same thing. Clean diaper, swaddle, propping trick, fed, seriously EVERYTHING I could do for him and he will not sleep. We put him down after rocking him to sleep and he wakes right up.
What the fuck are we supposed to do?!

i yelled at my BF last week for attempting to give DS watermelon. when i yelled and asked him what he was doing, he said he was just going to rub the watermelon juice on his lips and give him a taste. hell no.

in other news, i have been in non-stop pain for 2 days because of this damn ulcer. now it's to the point where it feels like someone is standing on my chest and it hurts to breathe. when will this medicine kick in and start making this pain go away? i'm dying here!

DH wanted to let B taste BBQ sauce but quickly decided not to when I flipped a shit. His mom told us to give her water for her hiccups which he knew was a bad idea but I had a really hard time leaving B alone with her and the only reason I did was that she was asleep already.

Feeding B right now and I swear the child squealed in delight as I lifted up my shirt to feed her.

Am I insane for not wanting my SO to pump our baby up with gripe water or gas drops "proactively" if the kiddo isn't showing any immediate signs of serious gas problems? I mean he farts & burps somewhat regularly, but babies just do that, right? When does it reach gas drop time? I want him to be comfortable but I also want to give him as few additional supplements, etc as possible. What is the right approach to take?

@rockstarlaw. I feel the same way. Gas drops and colic calm are last resorts in my book, if she is writhing around in gassy pain or nothing will calm her, but DH is more liberal with them. As far as I know babies are supposed to fart and burp. Happy medium might be waiting until you all see early signs of discomfort?

My left boob hurts so bad! It's like there are rocks in it along the outside. I let LO nurse on that side twice in a row overnight, and then pumped immediately after. I've massaged it and put heat on it, but it's so painful! I also have been really worried that LO is not eating enough. She's been taking long naps during the day, and is sometimes going a little more than 3 hours without eating. Also, she is often only eating for a few minutes and then starts screaming. I feel so helpless

@MrsStanton87‌ I feel your pain! We are in a crappy house in an even crappier market. We are always trying to move and there is nothing ever available. It's so frustrating especially now, wanting a better place for the baby.

@purespark‌ it's hard to say. Nothing really seems to help when she gets like that. She just has to sleep and then she's usually better when she wakes up. I try burping her, and she usually burps, and sometimes I'll give her gas drops or gripe water. I lay her on her tummy, and I bicycle her legs. I just feel do bad because nothing seems to make a difference, and I don't want to starve my child!

@thomas930‌ might know better but from lurking on other boards I think it works that a mod can ban the user but the bump gods have to ban the ip? Maybe that's why there was a lag?

My bad... When I clicked the tag it said user not found and red flags went up immediately due to other troll bans and drama... Not trying to start WWIII kids.

Ugh. Many times I've tried explaining to dd that if she would just fart she'd feel better! Lately our burps have been coming out both ends so I know how you feel.

I had huge suspicion of the snail, then she came back... But I still am not convinced as theres phone ip and computer ip so it's easy to come back.
But the way she talks an her cadence is pretty similar!

Anyway in other news DS slept great in his own room! And we slept better without the grunting!
