Calli did you just go for it and put him in the nursery or did you ease your way into it. I get huge anxiety thinking about him sleeping in his room but I think he's grunting more and it sucks.
Just went for it! But started at his 7pm sleep

I don't know who it was....still really curious myself. IP bans usually only happen if a mod requests it and there has to be a good reason, like if we are fairly certain someone will just reappear with a new account after being banned. Snail was not IP banned.

On one hand I can see the cost savings of using cloth diapers. I feel like this kid needs a new every 2 minutes. But how the hell you do keep up with all that laundry! Couldn't do it. Guess I'll have to dip into her college fund to pay for diapers!

It's really not that bad, and completely worth it for us. It's only a load every 2-3 days.

Perfect timing! I have a cloth diapering question. I EBF and today is our first day of using cloth. We are using prefolds and covers at this point. My question is for the laundry, do you throw the dirty diapers in with the regular laundry? Or is that gross? Do you have to wash the diapers separate?
I hate doing laundry. I would rather clean a bathroom. And often I forget I started a load and end up having to re wash it because it sat in there too long. I guess I could get into a routine. Maybe when she's a little older. More props to you guys for being on top of it.
Plus my OCD self would have to have a cover to match every outfit she owns. DH would kill me. I spend enough money on her as it is.
I mostly lurk here but wanted to chime in on the cloth diapers. I actually don't find them to be a lot of work at all. Washing them is so easy because there is no folding involved. I generally hate laundry, but I don't hate it because it is hard to put clothes in the washer I hate it because putting them away sucks. With diapers you might have to stuff pockets or something but putting them away is so easy and doesn't take much time at all. I wash my diapers in their own load and I am pretty simple about it. I did a lot of research while pregnant and came to the conclusion that the wash routine really does not need to be difficult. I do a rinse, hot wash with an extra rinse at the end. I use a regular amount of regular detergent (Tide) and don't have any issues. It might be too early to tell if there is going to be problems with my routine but I am happy with it so far and it is very simple. It's kind of hard to forget about diaper laundry too because if you do forget you run out of diapers and will be instantly reminded.

Somebody is being cranky today since his routines have gone to hell this weekend. He finally just fell asleep on mommy's boobs... Good thing the IL's have a covered deck and it's breezy out.
Ugh this mastitis is killing me. I'm so tired of my boob hurting and my supply on that boob is next to nothing now. I've had an amazing supply since day one, when I did an occasional pump I would pump 4-6 oz per boob! Today I just pumped my bad boob and I got 1 oz! This will get better after the mastitis clears up right?! Or do I need to start having lactation foods and such?
Sooooo someone's been insane all weekend which ruined my plans last night to get tipsy and dtd. Didn't even finish my glass of wine. Would it still be tasty to drink after sitting out for 12 hours? Hmmmmm....

@celticlullaby. My plan is to get out of the house come hell or high water. There's a free symphony event out on the lawn at a local university and the weather is great. It may be time to start NIP for me today.
For CDs- I just do a heavy duty wash cycle on hot with 2 cold rinses. I tumble inserts and air dry covers and the 4.0's. They end up super clean. I use original powder tide. (Way cheaper than rockin green-which I bought as well!). Got a bunch of 4.0's of Craigslist but have to get elastic replaced... Bummer. 20 for 200 bucks though (including double inserts for all, sprayer and a couple wet bags!)-- so worth it I suppose! @Vinny424 --- I am a super nervous flier too and get the same way when DH travels. My DH left for 2 weeks yesterday

DD was insanely cranky all evening yesterday then gave me a 4 hr stretch and then went down for another 2. And has been napping all day aside from eating and one 30 min alert and happy time. I'm loving the change but mildly terrified for tonight...

Why do these leaps always happen when he is working?!?! I promise you kid, you'll feel better if you sleep for more than 20 minutes! Have I ever steered you wrong before?
I wish my MIL could come over every day, she's got some serious baby magic in her. She gave Alera a bath and got her to sleep, and she's been asleep for SIX HOURS. Why can't I manage to do that?!

Grandma magic is powerful sorcery. My mother has The Touch with T also.
Lucky! My mom only manages to wake Josie up. DH keeps telling me to have her over so I can have help and rest and I'm like no! It's not restful when I have to watch my mother watching my daughter.
Also on CD laundry: I don't worry about washing too much because DH does it. BOO yah!

We had lovely weather all last week. 80s & 90s this week. I hate this place in the summer. Too much sun.

It's amazing how much poop can come out of such a small person and how long they can hold it in. Disproportionate to their size for sure...
