@Teresa1896 I'm guessing TB didn't allow swearing back then? It's hilarious to see v's instead of u's and 1's instead if l's. lol
@fireflygirl12 So sorry to hear about your little guy. My baby girl is starting to get over her cold. I cried when I realized she was sick. Hope he starts feeling better soon!
February Siggy Challenge: Favorite TV couple ~ Jim & Pam
I was a baby wearing MACHINE today. Wore Penny in the k'tan and went on a crazy long walk with hubs the dog and my friend. Then finally tried out the Ergo. I ended up picking up a used infant insert for 15 bucks and I'm so glad because she passed out in it after like 5 minutes. I made banana bread and cleaned my kitchen while she slept in the ergo. Then I handed her off to my friend in the infant insert and she stayed sleeping..... And is STILL sleeping now. I might have to wake her up soon so my boobs don't explode.
Yep! Made it through 3 newborn outfits and then the struggle was just too great. Opted to put him in bigger stuff to make it easier to get on/off. He's just about too big for the 0-3 gerber sleepers and is wearing a 3-6 gerber sleeper tonight. 0-3 or 3 in Carter's or circo fits best. Packed up some socks and a few cloth diapers too!

April 14 August Siggy Challenge- "This time last year.."
thank you ladies. had a rough day. long story short, getting sent for an ultrasound of the stomach area and refered to a gastro specialst and they want to do a scope. gave me a script for a different heartburn pill which will also help with the pain. go to pick it up and my insurance doesn't cover it anymore because you can buy it over the counter.
in early flirting news, D was crying when they were about to draw my blood. i had 15 nurses come on through and have to check him out. this is within a 15 minute span. i think i have a heartbreaker on my hands, lol!!
I had to pack up the newborn clothes today... It was very, very sad... Especially since he's only almost 7 weeks... But moving on to bigger and better things with his 3 month clothes! I only regret the few cute outfits we never got to wear before he outgrew them... chubby butt
Packing up clothes never gets any more fun, sadly.
In other news, Dorian's Wubbanub came in the mail today. He somehow managed to end up with it on top of his head. I wish I'd thought to take a picture.
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
@Tferr02 This sounds exactly like what happened to me on Wednesday and they have me antibiotics. I DID read on kellymom that sometimes you don't need them though? Definitely take Tylenol and marshmallow root if you can't get antibiotics. Also oregano oil mixed in water is a great cure all. I usually use it in lieu of antibiotics. If you do end up getting them, get yourself a probiotic too. Even though the antibiotics are safe for your LO, they'll still get to her/him and result in a tummy ache. That's been my hell here. Good luck. Thinking of you!
@PoppySeedWindsor thanks for the info!! I'm in a town that has one of the oldest average age citizens in the nation, so I don't think they see many moms that are bf. So I appreciate the information because I think they were pretty lost.
Merri just shat so loud it startled me (eyes closed nursing) and I elbowed her in the face. Now I have mega tears and a mega blow out. Mom for the win!
@ColleenSwerb I can sympathize with the shitty car trip. DH and I drove to his parents last night, and it normally is only a 2.5 hour drive. DS hates his car seat, and screamed for 20 minutes and slept for 40. We had to stop to let the dog out because he was fart gassing us all to death, so we got gas and food as well. Cue more screaming. We then got stuck in traffic (we left at 8pm to avoid this) because workers had a rolling lane closure ahead of us to replace reflectors. That added another hour, so we had to stop and feed DS once we got through. The only thing that saved the drive was the car seat swaddle. Once we fed DS and swaddled him he was out like a light. I'm never taking a long trip withy that swaddle.
Bonus for the swaddle - he slept for 7 hours straight!! I'm sure the long stretches of screaming had something to do with it also, but 7 hours!!

First off, I'm sooooo sorry you had such a stressful experience. Hugs to you. Secondly...what is this car swaddle you speak of?
@PoppySeedWindsor it's a swaddle made by Summer Infant, and it has a hole in the backside of the swaddle so you can use it while your child is in the car seat.
Disclaimer: I know it's an aftermarket add for a car seat, and those are no-no's, but a desperate mommy's gotta do what she's gotta do, and it's no more between baby and seat than a layer of clothes.
Here's a video demo (iPad bumping doesn't let the video work here):
One day I will really be good at RTT contributions. I am working hard to get these guys on the same sleeping schedule during the day, especially because DH is going back to work Monday. I need my breaks and though having one babe up is a bit of a break, having no baby up would be dreamy. Maybe if I keep doing this they will think sleep is better than being awake..

SO and I were literally just talking yesterday about "what in the hell is that back hole in the swaddle for?" I thought it was to check the diaper! Haha!
DH showed me this forum post from his gamer buddies and it made me crack up, so I thought I'd share with you ladies. The title of the post is "Want to Sell 4 Year Old Daughter." My DH is SaintCav on this, so you can see my mommy brain is in full swing...
When I swaddle in the car seat I just tuck a receiving blanket around LOs sides tightly so it gives the illusion of a swaddle. Someone posted a video of this not too long ago. I'd find the link but I'm mobile.
ETA: here's a link but I'm mobile so idk how it works...
Also, maybe I'm a jerk but I'm totally rolling my eyes at people who ask for advice about getting longer stretches of sleep when their LOs are already working on 5+ hours. Seriously?
Good luck today @colleenswerb! We also have all the family coming over to meet LO and I am pretty sure she's going to be one cranky, overstimulated baby tonight.
I'm looking forward to our weekly Target trip even if I do have to take both kids with me. A lot of their baby stuff is on sale. Getting dd a new swimsuit (she demands Ariel) and LO a new playmat. I had the FP green jungle playmat thing for her and can't find it anywhere to use for DS. Fortunately they're on sale so we'll see what's the coolest!

Mystery solved! We were wondering about the hole too. It was probably on the package's instructions, but who has time to read that?
Nope not in the packing instructions. DH had to look it up on the internet for us to figure it out. Best discovery EVAR!
DH last night: "Every time I give you the opportunity to leave by yourself you won't take it."
Actually going to the grocery store isn't my idea of going out by myself, a pedicure is. This is just you trying to get out of a chore. When I asked about you watching dd so I could get said pedicure you said you wouldn't have time for "at least another week".
I totally thought about that @Jessieann1020! But of course when he "has time" isn't until Wednesday and I'm going to starve if I wait to go to the store until then.
DD and DS were playing in DD's room, I noticed that it had been unusually quiet for a while so I went to check on them.....found both covered in blue marker.

I want to get blasted but then I'll feel like shit for our 2-3 am feeding sooo scratch that.
Singing my song, sister.
This! My birthday is tomorrow and DH is taking me out for margaritas while SIL babysits. I have a freezer full of milk for bottles but all I keep thinking about is how bad it'll be Monday taking care of DD alone.
