  • I need to poop so bad, and it's not happening. I'm jealous of all the poops.

@mamamonzo - I rarely washed the actual tubes because they really shouldn't be getting anything in them. I never pumped more than once a day so I can't speak to combining them. Try the stupid questions thread, lots of BFers are checking in there.

    Eat all the dates!!!

Well, that Chinese food should make you poop. It always does for me.

DH wants pizza tonight but I really want Chinese now

  • @Mamamonzo‌

I would run the pump not attached to anything for a minute or two to help dry out any excess moisture that accumulated in it.

You can combine milk from different sessions- just make sure that when combining milk that you try to make sure that there is a combo of foremilk and hindmilk rather than all foremilk from multiple sessions

If I pump should I put it in the fridge right away and then the next session combine the cold and freshly pumped?(I'm feeding on one boob pumping on the other, flip flopping each session) does that make sense? He's getting all the pumped milk in the same day, it's never sitting more than 8 hours.

Gotta love the premie aspect and having swallowing issues and palate issues (that's why we are breast and bottle.

@ColleenSwerb‌ yes I got a belly binder! In Love!! It's helped so much!

I think what you're doing sounds good! I'm sorry for the other issues- they will get better as baby gets older :)

  • My SO is more concerned that the dog is puking than the fact that I've been crampy and feeling like crap all day. TP to him big time.

Another hospital bag question... I was going to pack just one suitcase for h and me (and almost empty diaper bag for baby). It is a large carry on on wheels. Will I look ridic? I have some Vera duffles but I find them hard to find stuff in and they don't have enough pockets.

Also am I foolish to only have one bag or should I have a pre and post labor bag? The hospital we are at is pretty big and the lot is far away and I don't want to make h have to schlep out there once the baby is born.

Sorry if this should have gone in the stupid questions thread.

I think whatever you can fit your stuff in is fine. I only pack one bag for myself. I literally only take clothes and toiletries lol. My hospital provides almost everything for baby and I, and I only live half a block from the hospital. Even so, I think a lot of moms over pack and don't understand the necessity of two bags.

He only reason I ended up with two bags is because I decided to bring my super fluffy robe and I couldn't get everything else to fit with that In the bag. Otherwise I would have just one carry on sized bag.

  • DH can't find the hardware to put the crib together. The crib had been discontinued and the parts aren't sold anymore. This could be one costly mistake. :-w
  • Seems like lots of us are pooping again! @mamamonzo fixed us!

I have in fact been on a regular schedule the last few days! It all makes sense now!

  • @jellysparkles I called the manufacturer to get our options and the lady I talked with just said nope, and talked to me like I'm stupid! lol. Maybe I will try again and hopefully get someone helpful. It's better than having to buy a complete crib again when we have one in great shape, just can't find the screws. It wasn't recalled and is only about three years old.. hopefully they can send us something.

  • The South Park video game is hilarious.. So graphic. It's like a bunch of mini shows. I do wish I was in vodka state of mind while playing though.

Do you think it's inappropriate for a 12 year old, who's not allowed to watch the show? I want to get him that game so I can play it!

  • I do not remember it being this hard to move, get up and get around while I was pregnant withDD.
  • Spent my day at the ER. I developed a large abscess on my left leg/buttocks that apparently became infected. Went to my OB and she freaked and sent me in. Due to being VERY pregnant they couldn't put me under so I had to have it incised and drained with nothing but a shot of lidocaine. That my friends hurt like a BITCH. He did give me 2 norco afterwards but nothing more for pain but freaking tylenol.

I am starting to get nervous about how this is going to feel when the numbness wears off :-(

Little girl needs to stay put for a while so mama can heal up before she makes her grand entrance! What a flipping day!!!

  • @irisheyez7‌ sorry about your day. hopefully you feel better now that the infection has been drained. That sounds terrible. Rest up, if you can. Sending thoughts and prayers that you have done relief.

Ditto to this- They'd get a little steamy so I'd leave the pump running a couple minutes to dry them out. I don't think I ever rinsed them.

    @irisheyez7 hope you feel better!

This. That whole ordeal sounds like insult to injury, sorry you had to go through that, doll!
  • @ColleenSwerb‌ I have a similar situation. DH is a HUGE royals fan but we live in Seattle so he gets to see them once a year and always tries to go to every game when they're in town. It's a big deal for him. Two years ago we picked the one weekend they were here to get married so he missed all of the games, last year they came in Sept right when I was in the height of morning sickness so I got sick and made DH leave early, and this year I'm due the week before they come. I'm hoping he will at least get to go to one of the games since there are 4. Worst case scenario is either the baby won't be here and I'll go into labor during the game or we will have a 4 day old and he will go alone. I'm hoping to make it work out for him since he has missed the past two years. Anyway.... long story. It's sweet your DH is willing to give up baseball to be there for you!

  • I better just be irritated with SO right now because the only other reason I can think of that I am awake still past midnight, vacuuming the house and doing the dishes is that final surge of energy before labor starts that we talked about in our class.

I also really want to eat cookies and candy right now, but if my energy fades and I want to go to bed, I don't want to be spitting them up in my sleep. Tough decisions right here.
