  I second the Vicks digital. It has a soft rubbery tip and reads quick. I have one for rectal reads and one for oral and I just marked them with nail polish so I wouldn't mix them up!

  Completely unrelated: I'm pumping right now fighting back tears. This will be my last time pumping this third session at work before I start weaning next week (I'm off wed-fri and WFH tomorrow). Physically producing milk is such a mindfuck.

  @wasnotwas If we're being honest here today and since I've already earned a "meanie" badge....I liked you better before your Zac Efron gif.  I know he's not nearly as young as I thought, but I still feel like he is. So, basically... every time you post I feel like a dirty old lady. And, I hate you for that. Whew. I feel better.

  @WasNotWas Today was the first day since N was born that I haven't pumped or nursed mid-morning, around 10-11ish.  It felt very strange.  We're down to 3 nursing/pumping sessions a day now - I think I might hang out here for a little while.  I really can't imagine going down to just 2.  It's so weird to think that there is a finite number of nursing sessions left.  Both exhilarating and WEIRD!

  I am going to lay this here... I am an acquired taste. I know this about myself.  I am many things but to accuse me of speaking ill about children is where I draw the line.  I would never say anything about a baby.  I am still in shock about it.  Say whatever you want about me and feel however you need to feel but I don't bash babies.  She knows who she is and I am sure she will read this.

  The rectal we have isn't too bad. It has a small probe that doesn't go in too far if that's what you are worried about. It's a Vicks. We also have an Exergen temporal thermometer that works pretty well.

  @42butterflies you just never know. It sucks. Both my boys have displayed serious teething issues and "about to pop" gums for two months before the first teeth through. I am still waiting on Lo but it's been teething and hard gums for 1.5 months now.
