I am having one of those days where I just cannot deal with life. Between trying to get motivated to work, my sick dog and now complications with our "simple" bathroom remodel, I really want to run away from home for a few days. Or take a bottle of wine to the face. At least it looks like I will get a snow day on Thursday to work on the nursery. Because this is what it currently looks like... X_X
Doctors don't really care if you've stopped shaving your legs, right?? I dont want to get caught off gaurd and have to drop trou...but, I also really don't feel like shaving!
I'm the same...aviola329 on Pinterest! I'm following anyone who shares theirs
I'm trying to follow you, but my mobile app doesn't seem to want to locate any of your SNs!! Either thaty, or I'm just inept and am performing the search incorrectly...
I've decided I'm just gonna read birth announcements from people who have LB's, figuring you have to be semi-active to have a LB. Unless you're like @seannasmommy (where's she been lately anyway?) or @AprilMay9 and I know you're LBing yourself.
I really hate to be such a Scrooge, but I'm in the caboose. I'm gonna be one of the last ones announcing, all while at the butt end of uncomfortable. I feel like I am a good-willed person, but third tri has it running a bit thin at the moment and I want to save my good will for people who have gotten to be internet friends over this pregnancy.
If that makes me a Meanie McCrankypants, or makes me exclusive then so be it. I truly celebrate every life and give thanks, but I don't have to type it out and compliment a bunch of random babies I don't know.
I didn't get a LB. I figured I'm going to have a set date to get the twins evicted so I could just post myself.
Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!
SO turns to me and says "I want to get drunk." Now I'm trying to get him to go to the liquor store so he can stop being productive so I don't have to be either.
Also he bought me tulips and doughnuts this morning! He's usually so anti-flower, affection, and being nice in general (just kidding!) so I was super happy!
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
@lia619 - Maybe peoples' coffee hasn't kicked in yet??
Related: I have realized occasionally skipping my morning coffee should never happen. Even without having to work, I am not a very productive or pleasant person without it. Sorry LO, you've got 10 more weeks of caffeine buzzes in your future!!
Ok, Martha Stewart annoys me less than Emily Post. By far. Just putting that out there @poru :-)
Emily Post On Etiquette from 1922 turned me off to her for good. Some of that stuff is demeaning and sick.
BTW, just so you know, those of you that have daughters should have chaperones for her, because, she won't be free unless someone is there watching her manners making sure she doesn't mess up a perfectly good date with a high class suitor. Just sayin'
I have an old school etiquette book as well! Luckily it's from the 1920's so I know how to phrase AND use my calling cards...
There is some decent advice in there about weddings and not spending beyond your means though. Quite a few people on The Knot probably would've learned a thing or two!

That should just be common sense IMO. I've had people questioning my sanity when I told them I do not own a credit card. They usually ask, "how do you live?!?" My answer is always "within my means." Having a load of student debt kind of wakes you up.

If you're bored. I found this highly entertaining for many evenings. Sure, there is common sense stuff in here, but if you want to know how to properly host a dinner party at your country house, then this is your source!!
I didn't sign up for a labor buddy either because I didn't want to have a moment where I got really overwhelmed with everything and then ended up spacing and letting her down.
Hehe, all this talk of credit cards is making me want to shop (Actually, wanted to shop all day.) Anyone have any opinions on the clarisonic facial brush things?
I totally agree about the credit cards! I pushed myself to my original limit by college graduation, and paying off $3k at my first job sucked. I nearly learned my lesson until I was unemployed a couple years ago--DH and I were just dating and I didn't feel comfortable accepting his help, so onto credit cards it went. Ugh. Finally paid them off a year before our wedding, used them to pay for the wedding to get points and then paid them off in cash during the grace period.
For some reason, one of my friends felt like it was appropriate to inform me that if I feel the pinch of being unemployed this time around "at least you can use your credit cards". Ummmm, no. Real emergencies only from here on out. Otherwise, it's paying the balance in full every single month with cash.
Emily Post is definitely old fashioned. My mom is my etiquette book -- she grew up "proper" (for lack of a better word) and has taught me everything. I find it valuable, and tend to lean toward proper etiquette when dealing with an older generation or a formal event. That being said, I knowingly break "proper etiquette" all of the time. True etiquette in my opinion really just means keeping others you are interacting with in mind when making decisions -- aka not being offensive or selfish, but being empathetic and gracious.
This is 100% true! Totally agree. And I really enjoy poking fun at the old Emily Post stuff. Its just a foreign language in some aspects. The little knit-picky things get to me, obviously. LOL.
ETA P.S. I'll totally lay off Martha because of her towels. :-D

I got one for Christmas a couple of years ago and I cannot live without it now!! I use the deep pore brush heads and they really make a difference. HIGHLY recommend them!

@SLSchuerg & I Ok'd for each other to give our husband each other's phone numbers so when they go to text family they can include our LB's number in the chain and get word out that way.
Just needed a little brag time since I feel like lately I bitch alot. I just had an appointment with my OB and she said my growth scan looked perfect and that LO is not too big at all. I had been a little worried. She seemed really happy with everything and we even had some time to chat a little so I feel even more comfortable with her now. I just feel very happy and refreshed after stressing the last 2 weeks about his size and my almost failed GD test.
Wonderful news! I am so happy to hear it! Time for a piece of cake or two or three!!

The last two months of pregnancy should be like a bear in hibernation we should be expected to leave our house :-q
Eta: in also have to go to the NBA game with DHs work tonight
