Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )

I've decided I'm just gonna read birth announcements from people who have LB's, figuring you have to be semi-active to have a LB. Unless you're like @seannasmommy (where's she been lately anyway?) or @AprilMay9 and I know you're LBing yourself. 

I really hate to be such a Scrooge, but I'm in the caboose. I'm gonna be one of the last ones announcing, all while at the butt end of uncomfortable. I feel like I am a good-willed person, but third tri has it running a bit thin at the moment and I want to save my good will for people who have gotten to be internet friends over this pregnancy. 

If that makes me a Meanie McCrankypants, or makes me exclusive then so be it. I truly celebrate every life and give thanks, but I don't have to type it out and compliment a bunch of random babies I don't know.

Crazy easy. I had a tutorial published on a boozey website but really what it comes down to is have a large empty vessel, dump a bunch of roughly chopped fruit on, dump vodka on top. Refrigerate. Every three days, change the fruit out so it doesn't smell like feet/rotten fruit at the end. Usually its about day 12-14 that it hits the awesome smell/flavor and you don't need to put new fruit in once you get the old out anymore.

Pro tip: as you go, make grown up smoothies from the three day old vodka-soggy fruit that you strain out and would otherwise throw away.

I am TOTALLY doing this with mango and mint when mango season comes around this summer!

@deidremaria aw fun! DD loves him I think she just likes cookies but it was an easy cake to make and cheaper then buying one haha I had to be cheap because my 2 yr old NEEDED a BMW convertible for her bday according to my SO. Ridiculous.

It's official, you guys are the parents my mom should have had. I think she was obsessed with Cookie Monster because she loves cookies too but she's so obsessed with this kid cars it's crazy. She wants to buy one for all the kids because kid cars weren't that cool when she was little lmao

I can't wait for your birth announcement! I know for the most part when people are generally due without tickers! Don't worry, I'll be nursing away "loving" all your posts!! I've waited too long to become a bump auntie to forget my caboose squishes!

i had a growth ultrasound today since i am measuring 3 wks ahead at 32w 4d. come to find out lil dude is about 5lb 6oz and he is measuring almost 2 wks ahead. would anyone else be a bit worried/shocked about him being so big already or am i overthinking things?

i'm back after taking a mental health break for a week. remind me NOT to do that again. 2.1K is a shit ton go try to catch up on. i admit i didn't read it all and ended up skipping a lot

And to clarify, I didn't mean I think people won't care about the caboose, I just meant I'm gonna be watching all the announcements rolling in while feeling huge with not a lot if extra love to share.

@deidremaria your mom sounds like my SO too aha your kid is going to have a little car too! we live in an upper apt... And it's winter there's 2 feet of snow and it's like 12 degrees what is she going to do stare at it? Haha

Maaaaan... I have an appointment scheduled with a new OB tomorrow for the first time after the move. When I first called I asked if they were supportive of VBAC and was told yes, but I was reading through the ICAN list of hospitals and it seems the one she delivers at bans VBACs. Sooo I'm going to ask the OB to be sure, but I may be switching OBs yet again. At 30 weeks. Ugh. The good news is that if this one doesn't work out there is a hospital just down the road from me (5 minute drive as opposed to the 40 minute drive to the other one).

You're making me very appreciative of my doctor and hospital. Here's hoping you can find the perfect fit very soon!

I take shortcuts that I really shouldn't but they usually still turn out pretty good. As far as refinishing goes check out that furniture staining kit at home depot. There's no sanding!

DH just cracked me up. He had a really hard day so I brewed him a cup of tea. He never drinks hot tea but I found one he likes and he thought it was relaxing when I made him a cup last night. So I bring him his tea, and out if nowhere he goes,

"Oh, thanks! You know, we should have crumpets."
(Cracking up) "Do you know what a crumpet is?"
"No, but it'd probably be nice to have."

Oh DH. I love this man. No idea where he heard about tea and crumpets, but I got a good belly laugh.

Me too. I read through and try to be active on other threads but usually when I actually have something to contribute to the rtt conversation the topic is long over so I just end up clicking love it like it's my job X_X

Tonight was nutirition and my instructor talks a tonnnnnn she has so many stories to share.. Then the last half hour was our relaxation excersizes and kind of like a meditation.

I don't have a labor buddy but I'm still going to post my birth story. I didn't get a labor buddy because I didn't want to commit to something and then get stressed out with life and end up letting my labor buddy down. I'm also caboose so I will be sitting here huge and uncomfortable reading all of the birth stories...I think it will just make me more excited to post my own though!
