Slightly jealous of tax refunds. I'm hoping this year the new tax person I have doesn't suck and I at least don't have to pay a crap load at the end of the year. I pay my 33% and somehow, I owed another $5,000 last year. I seriously think I had the worse tax person ever. I gave a whole load of deductions, and, she said I couldn't use any of it. Here's crossing fingers that the guy I'm using this year is better and at least I won't have to pay back 40% of the income I made outside of the symphony :-P (I'm in the lowest tax bracket, there's no reason for that!)
I've had a really bad last couple of days. I've had a few meltdowns, sleep deprivation, and stress levels through the roof. Feeing guilty about how this affects LO. I'm just glad it's officially the weekend for me and I can try to relax.
I was just lurking over in March 14 and they have a psa for not using Always pads for post partum. Anyone else hear of this? I think I used Always with DD and don't remember any issues.
@Lindsay808 ((Hugs)) It can be a horrible cycle can't it? Stress from things going on and then stress because you are worried that the stress is affecting the baby....I know the feeling. Hang in there and I hope you start feeling better soon.

Can't say that I've heard anything about this. I used Always Infinity after DS and had no issues.
ETA: Just read the OP (not really any comments) and I've actually had the exact opposite of what she is suggesting. I had more skin soreness and chafing with Kotex than I did with Always Infinity and all my soreness from delivery was gone in the first week with my second delivery. I used Kotex with my first and had much more discomfort. I think I'll stick with what works for me.

This happens to the best of us! Don't beat yourself up about it. Just take it easy and be kind to yourself this weekend

If you really think they didn't file for you correctly, you can always have the person you're currently working with look over last years' taxes and amend if there was a problem. My husband has done that for family sometimes, and was able to get them a lot of money back.

A friend of ours recommended her tax person that comes really cheap. DH is skeptical of using this person because he thinks the price is too low, therefore doesn't think they will go a good job. His solution? Do our taxes ourselves online....because we will do a better job than an accountant?? I can't figure out his logic on this one. Of course, having these conversations over email doesn't help.

Someone reassure me that it's normal to feel like my baby is stabbing me in the vag? I called the midwife help line and they said it was normal but ow!

Yep, uncomfortably normal. Hope baby lets up soon.

@BiggerinRealLife I wish they did that here. LOL, they'd probably laugh at me in the tax office if I suggested such a thing. Ah well, lots of musicians use this woman I used, I just wonder if I got "foreigners treatment." :-P It happens all the time.
Also, you'll be proud, now I'm just drinking hot honey water. :-D No lemon (though, I'm craving them, so, its hard to stop myself. hehehe!)
Anyone dealing with low BP? I've blacked out a couple times in the last few weeks but now anytime I go from sitting/squatting to standing- no matter how slow I go- I get dizzy and lightheaded. They are checking my hemoglobin but they've already established that i have a low BP. It's getting really frustrating and sometimes scary when running errands!

I really wanna skip class tonight. The only reason I'm going is because I'm picking up my Girl Scouts cookies and the person lives 5 minutes away from the university. That area is half hour away otherwise I would have totally just gotten my cookies and come back home.
Woohoo! DH and I just switched practices successfully and now we have all the options ahead of us: Epidural or water birth! Feeling really good and excited to try for the tub!
Taxes are filed and accepted. Phew! Hopefully our refund will be deposited by the end of the month and I can finish getting everything else we need for baby girl to arrive.
@Megczapla OMG I love paçzis! I can't wait for Fat Tuesday for this alone! I moved away from the Polish hub of the world (outside of Poland of course - metro Detroit) and I have to settle for Kroger brand ones now. Better than nones suppose!
Heaven. When I die I'm going to polish food heaven. Or at least, I'd like to think I am

Come to Chicago! We have amazing and delicious paczki options
Crunchy alert: Yesterday I made my first cloth postpartum pad. Wearing it today since I regularly pee my pants anyway. It's comfy and works great! So I'll use "depends" for the first few days, then switch over to these until the bleeding stops completely. I figured I'll be doing laundry all the time anyway since we are cloth diapering, so I might as well toss mine in too! Yay hygiene!

I have very low BP (naturally), and its a little worse with pregnancy. I get dizzy easily and lightheaded. I haven't had an blackouts or anything though. Sometimes when I stand up I just have to stand there for a minute and let everything go back to normal.
How low is your BP that you are getting blackouts?
This! Me too!! Pregnancy has brought me up to the normal level though. Normally, I get the whole stand up and see stars sort of thing.
My dog STINKS!!! Ugghh! She hates bathing! I can't get her in the tub, she'll freak out. I've tried with a hose and she tries to attack me. I can't take her to a bathing place because shes a liability! I'm going to have to spray her with fabreeze.

I have low bp too, and while I haven't had any black outs, I do get the rush standing up quick and sometimes 'swimmy starry eyes' if I get crazy... Sometimes dizzy, but I usually sit down before I get that far because I know it's coming. My doc isn't too concerned yet, but she said that if I do black out I need to call her and let her know. Have you talked to your doc about it? What did they say?

I got low BP with these guys thanks to all the extra blood my body made, and passed out once (thankfully) but deal with dizzy spells often. It used to be multiple times a day, throughout the day, but I started doing less and always had water and a snack with me. Thankfully because I am a lot bigger now I tend to rest even more and I get the spells very infrequently. Rest, water, and snacks is what I recommend. For a couple months I had a timer go off reminding me to eat every two hours. Now I can even take the dog for a walk or go shopping and be totally fine (but I don't do this every day)! I also have to give myself at least an hour after I eat a meal to digest before I can do anything. The first thing I do when I wake up is eat and drink water. Those dizzy spells are debilitating and make pregnancy really hard, I am really sorry you're going through this.

There are safe animal "perfumes" and deodorizers you spray on their coats. Also, if you want to bathe her, watch Turner & Hooch for inspiration.
Edit grammar
I have decided, we are going to the DIY Car Wash! Thanks Tom Hanks!

my MIl told me to use cornstarch and baking soda with a few drops of lemon juice and rub it on the dog then brush it out! So much easier than a bath
