Large order today and it snowed. So the attendance at the conference is half of what they expected. My contact requested we donate the extras and he would pay for it.

I love when people do the right thing. It's been so cold here the shelters are overfilled so I'm sure they'll be happy to see us! Such a warm and fuzzy on a cold day!

I had a dream last night I put together a Bump convention. I hired speakers and we went to a hotel conference center. We played games, and actually went to seminars. The special events coordinator in me (My previous career before moving to teaching) really wants to do this now. Also, we met in Ohio.... Very very random.

I'm dealing with this too with my MIL! She hasn't booked a flight yet, but she's been talking about it quite a bit. Honestly, she's very sweet, but I don't want her around for a like a week or two after LO arrives. How are you dealing with this? My practice will let me go without inducing until 42 weeks, so I'm thinking MIL may have to cool her jets

@kcp913 Yikes! I have told family they can come visit the weekend after Peanut's due date (4/18-4/20) which also happens to be Easter. (So really coming more for Easter, baby is a bonus!) The only people who will be allowed to show up before then are my parents because I can put them to use, and they wont mind. 

We haven't even discussed anything with DH's family, but I frankly don't expect any of them to come at all. His parents have a cattle farm, so leaving is hard for them, and DH's siblings tend to expect us to go to them since they all still live in his hometown...

I somehow missed the food cost discussion but we pay $6 a gallon for milk here and it's not even organic :-( food cost is absurd in the Virgin Islands.

We buy organic lactose free milk (hubs is severely lactose intolerant) and pay $6-8 per gallon

So I think I've lost my mind! Actually considering driving 10 hours to visit DH family when LO is only 5 weeks or so. We would stay for about a week. Am I nuts? My DH leaves for a school the week after so it's either then or months later and his family isn't going to spend money to come visit us. I want DH to be able to show off his sons.

ETA: crazy part is I hate the majority of his family, they drive me nuts. That's a long rant in itself..

I won't go into details, but seriously, WTF pregnancy constipation.  It made me concerned for myself if I was in that much pain and it wasn't even the baby...  There was sweat and nausea and almost a few tears.

joytomylifex, ugh! Been there. Have you tried Metamucil? It came midwife-recommended to me and has been life-changing.

Did anyone notice a significant increase in heartburn if their LO was transverse then flipped to head down? In the past 24 hours everything including breathing is aggravating my heartburn, and it hasn't been this bad in ages!  :-&

I cannot stop eating. Usually i always want to eat, but my stomach won't allow it. But the past couple days, I can eat and eat and eat, and it's like it just falls into a bottomless pit! This child better be growing like a madwoman in there!

@tferr02: I can't answer your question, but our arrangement has baby in the car for an hour and a half at a time twice a week at least. So it better be do-able! Haha

I took some at the beginning and it was amazing, but have been pretty much ok lately (until today happened).  At one point I thought about making DH go get some fiber tablets or ANYTHING while I sat there, but figured it was too little too late at that point...

My daughter's current 3rd grade teacher was also my oldest son's 4th grade teacher two years ago. She is amazing, I love everything about her and i"m hoping my youngest will have her as a teacher in his years at the school too. 

Today she went above and beyond. She just sent me an email saying her sister had a little girl last Spring and wants to donate all of her baby equipment (rock n play, swing, high chair) as well as clothes and she said if we want it, it's all ours. I have no words right now. 

( So beyond grateful and thankful for this!

@aronie82 and I are up towards Akron! C-bus isnt THAT far! lol... And I think someone else lives near us too, I dont recall who it was though.

 

I'm breaking my no pop rule and drinking a can of delicious-I-haven't-had-it-since-I-was-a-kid Tahitian Treat. It's AMAZEBALLS. Seriously. I didn't even know people still sold this... I'm in heaven. Lets see how baby reacts! lol.

@elreyes I am interested in knowing if anyone has an answer to your heartburn question.  My baby has been transverse for a long time and my reflux is bad.  I'm wondering if it will get worse or better if/when the baby turns to the head down position.

@joytomylifex I definitely know the pain you are talking about!  I had a bad episode a few weeks ago and my nurse suggested I take miralax daily.  I mix it in apricot nectar for additional fiber but it can be mixed in any liquid.  If you let it sit about 5 minutes, the powder will dissolve and you can't taste it. This new regiment has worked wonders.  I switched to every other day recently and things are still going well in that department!

Oh my gosh, pregnancy fatigue is really kicking into high gear for me! It seems like no matter how much I sleep or how much water and coffee I drink, I cannot keep my eyes open all day. How do you guys manage? I need tips!  I-)

Someone at my work made fancy handmade soap shaped like cheesecake and left it in the break room. I experienced extreme elation and crushing disappointment in the space of a few seconds. Don't fake out the pregnant lady with false cheesecake!!!

Filed our taxes this morning. So excited for our refund!! We don't make much at all so we get most of it back and only paid about $800 in taxes total.
I have a big grant writing project to finish today. I'm actually a really good writer when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I am having problems focusing (thanks ADHD) and the lights are really bothering me today in my office. I just need to get into the writing groove but I'm seriously struggling. NBD- this project is only worth like $20,000 for the nonprofit I work for...

Banning is usually based on action after the user has been warned. They are usually allowed 3 warnings from a Mod and if their actions don't change they are banned. Some one can be banned outright if its an extreme case.
