DH informed me that he had a bonding moment with LO while I was sleeping at 5 am this morning. Apparently she was kicking up a storm for him as I lay sleeping
Oh this has been the thing for my bf and baby for quite some time. It made me smile to find out that the "hang out" every night once I've finally fallen asleep. Especially since my bf isn't one of those dads who is always on my belly.
Oh man, we are keeping it Klassy in Clarkston today. Holy crap, just witnessed a total throwdown fight over a parking spot at the elementary school. Two moms were totally going at it, cops were called, the principal had to physically break them up. It was insane. I had a prime parking spot to watch this all go down and sat there like this after I got my kids inside...all I needed was a drink and some popcorn to watch this fantastic spectacle.
I'd watch this.

The more I think about it, it kind of pisses me off.
#1- They were both in the wrong, there is a front pull around for buses only which is where this went down and then a parking lot on the side with another pull around for drop offs or to park and walk your kids in.
#2. They were not only screaming at each other, but screaming at each others kids- one woman told the other woman's son to get his fucking ass back in the car. (this was happening as me and my two kids were walking by to get into the school)
and #3 - There were a TON of little kids walking in to the school and saw/heard this all going down.

Ugh. So sorry Good luck!!!! Make sure you eat something as soon as it's over, you'll be starving! I had to do the 3 hour with all my other pregnancies and it sucked donkey balls.
Checked the syllabus to one of my classes (starts tomorrow) and am so overwhelmed by the ridiculous amount of shit for a 100-level class. I'm a senior and this class isn't even in the field I'm studying. I only have to take it because I am a transfer student and got fucked with a lot of my gen ed classes not switching.
She's the only professor who was giving me a hard time via e-mail about giving birth. I hope she's cooperative. I just need to get through these 4 classes and 1 over the summer and then I have my diploma. I REALLY need this to work out.
Talk to her in person after class or ask to set up a meeting! Hopefully she will be kinder in person than over email.
FWIW, when I get emails from students before the term with potential issues with the class I say let's talk about it in person because it's hard to determine what the situation is and what they need from me or if the student is just giving a blanket excuse for the semester (I know that sounds mean).
Good luck! It will be okay! If she gives you a hard time consider talking to either your advisor or the prof's department chair. You should still be able to finish class and be given reasonable accommodations especially because you are so close to finishing!
Thanks ladies! I wish I could take something else but it's the only thing that worked with my schedule this semester. It's also offered at super inconvenient times in the summer when I now have to take child care into comsideration.
I was hoping to talk to her in person ASAP today! But we have a snow storm and classes are cancelled - go figure. But you're right, speaking in person should go a lot better. I told her I'm willing to do all that I can ahead of time. Fingers crossed.
Well I officially slept horribly last night. I am fairly certain I was awake more than I was asleep, but another day begins. I will be out of the office all day doing visits, so hopefully it goes quickly, but it's going to be busy, and I have a feeling I'm going to be very tired.
On the birth plan note: it might be worth asking your dr what his or her "standard procedures" are. At my last birthing class the nurse mentioned that L&D will only allow you to do what the standards are for your ob unless you have a signed plan from them. For instance my ob's standards doesn't include skin to skin right away. I didn't think it's be a huge deal, but I was told unless he signed a plan allowing me to do that they wouldn't.
I am so overcome with gratitude I think I could full on ugly cry. I registered for a pretty pricey crib thinking DH and I would purchase it. Turns out, someone else got it for us and I am so incredibly thankful.
Just went to my dr office to get a copy of my medical records. It cost $15 for them! And faxing them to another dr isn't an option, I either have to pick them up or pay an additional $5 for them to mail the records! None of my drs before have ever made me pay for my own records, they are always willing to at least fax for free to another dr. And the paperwork I filled out made me answer why I wanted my records. I don't know 100% if I'm switching or not, I'm just trying out another dr so I don't want to say that I'm leaving.

I had about 5 dreams last night where DH and I got in huge fights. we did have an intense moment before bed, but snuggled it out and all was well. Boooo dreams

I guess it's too late now - but in the future you could go to the new doctor, sign a release at their office, and have their office contact the old one and get your records. One provider can't charge another or withhold info needed for continuity of care. I know I can get stuff from another hospital faxed the same day when patients will be charged and told they have to wait weeks for their records.
Good to know! Unfortunately the dr office I want to go to won't make me an appt until I bring my records in and the dr reviews them and decides if he wants to take me on. So I went ahead and did it
I saw a cardiologist over a month ago for complaints of heart palpitations. He was very dismissive, but scheduled me for a holter monitor to "ease you and your OB's minds".
I cancelled the appointment this morning because I really haven't been feeling the palpitations in 2-3 weeks. Now, i'm having fluttering and chest pain (which, I imagine is really heart burn). With my luck, i'll have a heart attack simply for disobeying the drs orders!!
DH had a dream about the baby being born last night. Apparently, he could talk and told DH his name was Titanic. DH corrected him and let him know his name was James, and he said "oh that's much better!" LOL! I'm just happy that he's finally had a baby dream.
I have very often in the past few days had itching under my bra, and while at work, I'll think "man, I must have a rash." While I have a small patch of irritation, 90% of the time its been crumbs of food. I'm a walking disaster.

I found frosting down my shirt from my delicious donuts the other day. I felt like such a slob!
Packed my first GD lunch today. I'm going to pretend my carrot sticks are Cheetos. : /
Be careful with carrots, they count against your carb count. Did you meet with the endocrinologist or dietician yet?
No my class is on Thursday - thanks for the heads up!! I just found out about the GD last night. I also brought some grilled chicken and cottage cheese - do I need to worry about that ?
Nope, protein is great. Just make sure you check the carb counts on everything you are eating. It's probably different for me because I have to inject insulin at meals, but I am allotted 15-30 grams of carbs for breakfast and snacks and then 45-60 grams of carbs for lunch and dinner. Almost all vegetables (except carrots and corn) are "free" foods meaning I can have as much as I want...which isn't much.

This is me. The other day I couldn't figure out what the hell was making me scratch so bad, finally took off my bra and food fell out.

Those should be fine. I'm having twins so my numbers .will be higher. @fourthnlast is a good resource. For me they break everything into 15 carb servings. They stressed to me to always have a protein and carb at every meal and snack. I would not worry too much before your appointment on Thursday. You should get your range and hopefully they would give you a list of foods and their serving size.
Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!
My dad kept me busy for hours one day with a very simple conversation when I was 4-ish.
Me: Why can't people fly?
Him: I guess they just don't try hard enough.
And now I have the image of 4-year-old you acting like Peter Petrelli from the first season of Heroes, standing on top of the monkey bars and falling flat on his face trying to fly. )

My DD is a weirdo... I found her "walking" around the house on her knees, carrying my Swiffer mop. :-?
ETA: I managed to get her to stop and sit down for a picture.
Lol my son loves the swiffer! I always put a dry swiffer cloth on it, might as well get some cleaning out of it!
DD loves the swiffer spray mop! She's 3 1/2 and actually does a pretty decent job. She's in charge of the kitchen floor and bathroom. She actually begs me to do it. I usually tell her only if she's good!

Me too!! Always food for me.
I'm convinced the space between my boobs and belly is just a food trap.
Sometimes I feel like customer call centers need an option on the phone that says "if you are pregnant press 3". That way they know to tread lightly. Ripped comcast a new asshole and got no where.... But I actually made the girl cry. I didn't swear at her, but I sure did raise my voice and demand a supervisor. My intention wasn't to make her cry but the pregnant rage is insane. ">
