Why do people insist on having huge bashes for their kid's 1st birthday???? Obviously the party is for the parent and not the kid!

I have no idea either. Our typical first bday parties for our 3 has been pizza and cupcakes with any family members who can make it.

Finally got the Dh off his ass and to Home Depot tonight. New front door and supplies for the great room shuffle have been purchased. Can't wait to get this project really started!!!!

Update: Everything seems fine my cervix is closed and the bleeding has stopped. She did find some old blood in there but isn't very concerned. They checked his HB which was strong and he even gave her a few kicks.

I know, my younger sister informs me that I WILL be having the big bash for my daughter's first birthday. I told her I would only if she footed the bill. IMO not necessary to throw a huge bash, she won't even remember it.

It's not necessary at all. IMO.

So I think we are putting the kibosh on the whole trying to find a house to buy and move right before we have the baby thing. With me not working I just don't like the idea of buying when we are not sure of where our finances are going to be.
So I found a 2 bedroom unit in our condo and I think we are going to do it. For some reason moving seems like such a better prospect then just cleaning the space I have...on top of getting a second bedroom for baby we won't have to paint the whole place and get new carpeting in the deal. We just have to pass an inspection to transfer our lease to a new unit. I am hoping they don't give us too many hang ups and we can get this ball rolling.

I don't wanna start a full thread for this, but today I've been super uncomfortable. My back really hurts, and my belly is stiff but I know it's not contractions (this is baby 3) could it be a uti or something? Or should I be concerned?

Were you super active today? I had this happen when I went insane cleaning for a day and overdid it...my back was REALLY sore and my muscles were really tight and stiff...I just laid back with a heating pad and drank lots of water and I felt much better in a couple of hours.

Not really, it started earlier after I went out shopping... Got home, laid down and eventually it went away. It started again about 2 hrs ago, so I did the same thing but it's not subsiding so I'm not sure... Maybe I'll just try and sleep and see if it goes away :-?

I feel as if every side stomach muscle on my right side has been pulled. It hurts to walk, I can barely panda roll and laying on that side isn't happening. I don't remember this from other pregnancies. Any insights? Growth spurt or stretching are my only guesses, but this started last night.

I can't stop laughing!!!!! Totally imagining Morgan Freeman's voice uttering those words is hilarious! Piney, you're a genius.

On that note, I'm rolling my east coast ass to bed. Hopefully it'll be filled with funny dreams instead of the crazy ones lately!
