I sure don't miss this cold snowy weather! We are off the road, cozy at the in laws' place, and just trying to stretch out and relax. Two days on the road has me feeling so wiped out, even though I'm mostly recovered from the flu at this point (that Tamiflu stuff... Seriously if you come down with this plague get the tamiflu right away it is amazing!). Too bad DH's anti-flu measures appear to have been for naught. Says he feels like he got hit by a truck. Well, at least his wife has infinite empathy for how he is feeling now, and can baby him properly.

Baby shower tomorrow.. Having a hard time getting excited, I keep getting so very sad for Beth. Spending some serious reflection time praying for Fiona and being so grateful for every day that allows this little guy to spend more time cooking in there. Hope you ladies are having a good weekend!

Today has been a rough day..came home from my sons dance class to find out our washer broke. After a lot of stressing about how we are going to afford a new washer right now, my dh father offered to buy us a new one. So thankful and hoping it actually happens. My DH dad has bought tons and tons for my SILs..entire nurseries, down payments on cars...but we have never received a thing, except being stuck with some of his bills at one time. I'm slightly skeptical but really so thankful if it does, because otherwise I was going to be giving up double stroller dreams

I was told that I have a very pretty chart at my checkup today, and by pretty the nurse practitioner meant boring and normal.  I've never been so excited to be boring!

Plus, the office got a new digital scale instead of the old school sliding weight scale - it actually said I lost weight in the last four weeks, which totally made me laugh cause I know that didn't happen B-) I feel vindicated for never believing their scale in the first place!

It was most likely just a glitch on her phone/ computer. It happened to me on FB once.

AW alert (on multiple levels!): My fraidy cat Seamus decided he wanted to plunk his fat butt down in the dog's bed since it was the squishiest spot in the office by DH. Duffy decided he would do his best to share, and even brought his toy dragon over to the bed.

Anyone elses baby go INSANE the whole day after taking the glucose test? This kid has been flipping, wiggling,rolling and kicking HARD since about 1:30 this afternoon...non stop! It so crazy! Apparently my baby is on a sugar high, and she likes it

Mine had actually been the opposite! I've been noticing her being very active the past week, and today was my GTT. She's been pretty calm today. I've had a rough day though and been kind of stressed out, so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

This was me as well. I was a little worried they were not more active than usual. Does that mean I usually eat like crap? Shoot. I did fast though... ugh waiting game.

@KatieGummow I was a little worried too, but I've still been feeling her consistently throughout the day. I didn't have to fast though. They didn't even tell me I was taking it last time. The nurse was like, "Have you taken your diabetes test yet?" I said no, and she said, "Okay well you're gonna take it right now!" /:)

ETA: I also got really tired after about 20 minutes of drinking the stuff which also worried me. Did that happen to you too??

@SLSchuerg, yes, same thing! I brought my book to help me through the hour wait and I had to switch to my phone to keep me up. As soon as I got home I ate and then slept... off and on all day.

I am so happy to read Beth's update! I cannot stop the tears! That picture made me cry even harder. She is a fighter. It makes me so unbeilable happy and proud to be apart of this group especially when I see all that are coming together for Beth. I don't know everyone, but I want to hug you all!

Thanks for all of your compliments!!! I am not a person who dresses up often, so I sometimes worry I don't know how to do it.

AND guess what!! My DH, the company IT intern, won an award tonight!!! He was shocked! He also won a door prize - $50 American Express card! And he won my extra drink tickets so he got me to dd
He might get a little handsy at bedtime...

Not really. But like @irisheyez7 said she might lift the mood a little. We need a mood lift since we received a good update from Beth. You ride those highs and celebrate as long as you can. NICU is such a roller coaster.....and not a fun one.

Hi there Bigger in Real Life!

Here's my random reflexion...

I had a dream that I was not pregnant. It wasn't a panic dream or anything like that. I just had a flat belly again, and I wondered where the baby went. It was so real to me and the sleep was so relaxing that I woke up feeling thin again and thinking that my whole pregnancy had been a dream. 

Have you been having weird dreams?

Grrr...getting so frustrated with this naming list stuff! I finally find a middle name that I love and its not on the Danish list. GRRRRRR! 

ETA Sneaky husband is AWESOME. Suggestion: Get the American passport FIRST and then get the Danish and they HAVE to accept the name. Love it!

These dreams are out of control. Spent all night (well the 5 hours I get in between shifts) dreaming I was possessed by a demon and I kept screaming trying to get it out of me. I am sooo tired. Feel like I've literally been in a physical fight all night instead of sleeping. I shouldn't have eaten before I got into bed - prob that and the stupid Devils Due preview that keeps showing up everywhere. Going to be a looooong day at work

If anyone can send some good thoughts my way today, please do! I own a cheerleading gym and we have 4 teams competing today and tomorrow at our biggest Nationals. I'm a nervous wreck. Can't sleep, can't eat, imagining everything going wrong... I think I might barf. Any good juju would be nice.

Also, some parents are mad because other parents are drinking and I can't even be upset cause I want a drink too... Wahhhhh!
