    My Christmas spirit has been crushed! Mainly because I have no one or no where to go or see! I just woke up from a 2 hour nap, and now I feel ever more tired and gross and crappy. The christmas baking is giving me heartburn. BAH HUMBUG!!

    We did all our Christmas fun today because we couldn't wait till tomorrow.. Opened presents from each other, lots of silly little cheap things that made us giggle, and packages from family up north.. DH's sister won the cool gift prize, she sent us this very funny baby book:

    I love Christmas in California! I went to Whole Foods while my sister did some last minute shopping and soaked up some rays outside while I waited for her to be done.

    Just like me to not know what I want for Christmas until 3 hours away from the day. I just realized that I want a kitchen aid stand mixer. Hey! My birthday is on valentines day. That'll just be what I want for my birthday.

    Christmas doesn't feel right without the traditions of my childhood. So weirdddddd. DH and I have yet to establish our own.
    Thankful to be with my family this year- faking our way through new "traditions".

    I understand about having to get used to new traditions. This is only my 2nd Christmas away from my family and it just doesn't feel like Christmas here. I, too, have been thinking of how excited I am for next year and how much fun Christmas will be again with my own child!

    Sweet! DH was legitimately freaked out by the 30 seconds or so of the 3D ultrasound they surprised us with at the A/S, so definitely not for us but so glad you get to have another peek at your little nugget! That's a lovely gift.

    I told DH I am usually up to pee or with insomnia around midnight so I would play nurse and bring him his antibiotic, water, and a snack for the next week and a half and he would only have to keep track of the other three times a day he has to take it. Literally just hand fed a grown half-asleep man a sandwich while rubbing his back... He's not even sick!! (The antibiotic is for an infection that developed from an irritated hair follicle) I have a very spoiled husband...

    Merry Christmas! Can't believe my kids 10 & 7 were up before 4:30. This mom is tired! On a different topic this is super nerdy but I love it!
