That's the common situation, yes, unless you are at risk for any sort of complications. (That's the only reason I'm getting extra ultrasounds. I have one a month until baby is born to keep tabs on growth and probably to check the uterine arteries.)

This is true. Some practices will use U/S to determine position, but definitely not all of them since it's not strictly necessary.

I'm getting one on 1/10 because he didn't cooperate enough at our AS. Otherwise I don't think I'm supposed to. DH got me a 3D/4D for Xmas so I know I'll have at least one more opportunity after our scheduled one to see little man.

How does that work? Where do you go for it!

Mine said I should get at least one more because he was breech at the AS.

I'm kinda stoked the next time I get to see my little guy is for real. US are just kind of fuzzy and weird. I'm happy to have the important checks, but, I want the real deal :-D

I loved the food I ate for Christmas yesterday....yummm...I had these amazing cookie dough balls covered in chocolate and I was so happy when I found out I could actually eat them because there was no egg in them! SCORE! I kinda got mad when I had to wait like three hours to eat dinner...the ham was literally sitting on the table for like an hour and a half...and no one was gettin up to cut it! LOL I was stareing at that ham hard core. I mean come on, my son is starving and there was no other snacks...gahh!! But alas, I survived and got my ham and potatoes

We aren't getting anymore U/S. I was 21 weeks when I got my A/S and the ultrasound tech said the baby was breech but my Dr never mentioned anything about getting another ultrasound to make sure he flipped because he has plenty of time to flip.

I'm done with u/s as well too, outside of something happening. My little guy has been transverse but its not a concern this early in the game.

I know I'll have at least one more US. All doc checked last time was the heartbeat. She said I would have one at my next appointment.

My midwife wants to do one more at about week 30 because my placenta was too close to cervix. Boo! If I had insurance I wouldn't care but I pay for all my prenatal care OOP so I don't look forward to lab work or ultrasounds

I have one more US at 28weeks because my placenta was close to my cervix. They want to make sure it has moved. I'm not sure if there are any after that.

The anatomy scan is typically the last u/s unless there is a complication or high risk. I actually really dislike late scans because they always estimate the weight and size and it can be SO WILDLY different. They are SO inaccurate most of the time.

Oh I know! I feel him flipping all the time. I'm not worried.

As we get closer to our due dates, I realized I never posted an intro. I didn't want to make a whole post out of it, so I'll introduce myself here. I'm 24 weeks since yesterday and having a girl. I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana (People from Louisiana aren't obsessed about ranch, tipping servers, and crispy bacon. LOL!) and moved to N.C. a few years ago. At first I was skeptical about joining The Bump, but I'm glad I did. I've learned a lot as a FTM and find it entertaining. I enjoy looking at everyone's baby crafts here, since I don't know how to crochet or knit. Feel free to PM if you have any crafty talents!

You'll be in our neck of the woods! Park city is the best this time of year, actually I love it all year round but love the decorations and lights at the resorts! Happy shopping and skiing to you two

My little one was breech as well but I only knew that because she said it's harder to measure something (forgot what it was) on breech babies. So it was a very casual mention. I'm not getting an u/s for it but kinda wish I was just to see her again!

@TallaB I got bombarded with e-mails about sales this morning. Pottery Barn (including PB kids) is doing it, BRU has a little bit, Loft, Express, and I'm sure many more!  

Edited: I lied with BRU, I don't think anything too special is going on there.

Ugh I hate making returns! This wouldn't even be an issue if DH and my dad ever texted or even sent a message on FB about gifts. Now, I have two Snoogles and two disappointed gift givers, because they both wanted me to have a Snoogle as my "big gift". Whereas I am thrilled I even got one and now I can buy two fun covers for it plus extra nursery decor for baby.

My parents also offered to buy our crib and mattress for Christmas. And they are coming up in January to visit and put said crib together for us. Now THAT is my "big gift" in my opinion

I totally want to hit up Target Christmas clearance today but do I want to mess with the crowds?

The twin thing happened to my mom when she was pregnant with us but come on in this day and age with all the interventions people use it's not likely to happen. It took her doc until she was seven months pregnant to figure our why her baby's heart beat was SO fast.
