OK. About this whole "buy your pre-pregnancy size" BS. As if everybody gains weight ONLY in their belly??!! Come on maternity marketing people...you know better than that!! And Im even more perturbed that I believed you and (against my better judgment) ordered a huge online shipment of size 6 and size small clothing -- of which, mind you, NOTHING FIT! Go figure! Hello...my a** hasn't been a size 6 since week 8 into this gig so thank you very much for wasting my time and making me feel like a big fat cow. Lol. I should've listened to my gut (and my butt!) Ok, I feel better now, thanks for listening to my rant

after making dinner together (tikka masala and naan) i suggested to DH that we have 40 minutes of "by ourselves" time to do whatever we want. we are both trying to make an effort to waste less time, so this means 40 minutes of bumping for me and 40 minutes of video games for him.
but.... i might have waited until he put his headphones on to grab the last piece of pie out of the fridge.
yes, that was my ulterior motive.

NOT looking to get into the circumcision debate. Just wondering if anyone else's insurance doesn't cover it and how much it will cost you OOP? Mine does not cover it.

Arghhhhh yes we are! My OB will do it for $125 OOP.

ETA-Seemed cheap to me. I wasn't sure what the going rate for genital mutilation was these days.

Ours too. My mom was telling me back in the day her OB did it for my brother as well. I have heard some people talk about a urologist or a pediatrician at the hospital doing it.

Gah. Thanks for reminding me that I have something to add to my to-do list.

( I haven't even had the conversation with DH yet about whether or not we'll do it (we probably will--I can almost guarantee he's all for it; I'm the one on the fence about the whole thing), let alone checked our insurance coverage.

Omg I'm so proud... I go to a work party to come back to 87 new posts! Love you girls!

I am so stuffed. I made DH eat half my entree to make it seem like I really enjoyed it. But it was this gross harvest veggie gnocchi. The best way to describe it is: earthy and squishy. Gross.

But I could have eaten four desserts: chocolate mini bundts with peppermint ice cream! And one of the partners gave each staff member a $100 Macy's gift card, so that was awesome. And even my friend who tells me how fat I look thought my dress was "adorable". So all in all a pretty decent evening

My DS's pediatrician did it and it cost us $300. We've moved since then so I need to start looking into the cost and who to have do it for the new little guy.

I felt some tiny body part jabbing me unnervingly close to my ribs today. Not THAT close, but way closer than I am prepared for. She is getting so big! Before I know it she won't have anymore room to grow up and the belly will just be growing out!

our deck is a 4-inch-thick skating rink right now with all of the roof melt just falling down and refreezing onto it. when it gets really cold at night, the ice will crack in these HUGE booms that shake the house. i almost crapped myself a minute ago when it happened again. it sounds like someone is sledgehammering my house. yikes!

And I just got back from the ER. Woke up in the middle of the night with horrible pain in my lower left side. It was a ruptured cyst. I've had a few, so I know they aren't serious but MAN do they hurt like hell. I got a tiny bit of morphine and since I have no substitute and we're recording, I'm on my way to work. One plus, Got to see our little man, he was kicking around and have a grand old time! Tonight can't come soon enough, need sleep!

My insurance has covered 100% of everything so far even the MaternT21 testing, but doesn't cover this at all. The doctors office gives a reduced price for people not going through insurance you just have to pay prior to birth.

I've had this happen once before. I was sobbing and screaming. Worst pain seriously. I hope you are feeling better. I'm sure you'll be sore for at least a few more days until the fluid reabsorbs. Take it easy.

Me too! Woke up at 4 am to pee and now wide awake. By the time I fall back to sleep my alarm will go off. :-/

Ditto... I'm kind of at that point where I'm wondering if it wouldn't be better to just get to work early and leave early instead of trying to go back to sleep for only two more hours. After which I'd inevitably be crabby for having to wake up. Choices choices
