On some thread this morning (ahh yes the heels thread), you mentioned you liked playing with heels because of the sound it made when women walked.  And all I could think about is how that was such an early sign of the musician you became.  All I thought about was how tall heels made me feel. 

I bet she was very proud of you.

Awww! I never thought about the heel sound thing that way :-D What a cool thought. It totally makes me smile!

Does no one see the irony in calling people 'losers' on a thread where the OP is lurking on other boards for no reason? The only time I ever go to other boards is when funny things are linked here. I don't even HAVE kids-who the fuck has time to sit there and click through 20 different birth months and their subsequent threads?! And then link it to your own because...your BMB is as boring as you are? Good Lord

In my defense, I was bored and I have a kid. It's possible.

Getting up early to go over to her house and get the boys (14 and 17) up and off to school and get her daughter dressed and ready for her preschool pageant that my sister is seriously sad about having to miss :-(
Praying over here that this is just a slightly dramatic bump in the road and nothing more serious!

Thanks for the T&P ladies. My sister has to have her gall bladder removed. She is having an MRI to check if their is a blockage in the duct that needs to be taken care of before they remove it but she will be having surgery in the next two days. A tad risky with how thin her blood is but they are confident they have everything in hand. Hoping all goes well.
I'll tell ya, the year 2013 can suck it! Almost every member of my immediate family was in the hospital at some point this year and I am just ready for this year to be over! Bring on 2014 and happiness and babies and stuff!!

@J&NL  I am sure your DD will make wonderful progress in speech therapy.  I'm a speech therapist in an elementary school and just love seeing the progress kids make.  I have seen so many kids come through speech and exit when they mastered their sounds.  I have no doubt your DD will be of the many, many success stories!  If you ever have any questions you can always PM me.

Hope your sister has a successful surgery and quick recovery.  I agree, 2013 can hurry up and leave.  I'm so ready for 2014!!

Such a classy knockout! It sounds like she got to live a pretty amazing life, what a wonderful thing to have touched another life the way she did yours and I'm sure several others'. I'm sorry for your loss but glad you had the pleasure of knowing her.

I fucking hate my job, my boss, and everything that has anything to do with that place and I want so desperately to quit but I can't afford to financially. :-( After the day I've had I'm thinking about just handing in a letter tomorrow

@KendraColeslaw that was my plan until today. I had an interview today and it's looking up. I wore something that basically hid my pregnancy so let's see what happens if I'm offered the position and then they do find out I'm expecting. I really hope they don't find a slick way to reconsider after the fact. Idk if I can hold off until April though. I think my boss has zero respect for my coworkers and I and he doesn't realize that I see right through his fake smile. It's such a long story behind it all. Seriously though, I'm so annoyed I'm ready to just send an email in the morning saying that I will no longer be reporting there. But I have things in my office that I love so I won't be doing that lol

But it's best not to act without forethought - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you on the new job, and as soon as you get the offer, you can write your boss a notice letter telling him (professionally) what a dickhead he is. Yes she does. I'm the "office manager" but my boss somehow mistook that for his personal assistant and after telling me today that he is giving my office to one of my subordinates (his attorney's son) and sticking me in the cubicle area he sends me about two different emails with a list of his personal errands that need to be ran because he didn't have time to run them himself before his trip. I swear the moment I hear from that other job I'm resigning. And even if they do get rid of me after discovering I'm pregnant I won't give a fuck. And when my boss tries to keep me I'll take pleasure in letting him know that I found a job I think I'll be happier at.

I am the same way, just replace "Monday nights" with "Tuesday nights" and "Tuesdays" with "Wednesdays." I like seeing the fruit change. I should just hand over my STM card and accept that I'm a FTM all over again.
