@blaf322 omg the one thing I wanted was to do this costume I saw on Pinterest for when I was pregnant and with the timing I CAN'T and I'm so mad. The girl dresses like a unicorn and then has a unicorn horn sticking out of her baby belly with fake blood and it was so cute and well done and I've been planning on it for a very long time. *Humph* I suppose I could still do it but it's not the same with a post dinner food baby as it is a real baby belly
@pourmeanothermocktail I’ve been making a quick version of pho for lunch and it’s been so nourishing. I just julienne cut some carrots, bell pepper, and green onion. Boiled it in a couple cups of beef bone broth (that’s what I had on hand). Added some soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, onion powder to taste. Poured the hot veggie broth mixture over my rice noodles and voila! Pho 😆 takes about 10 minutes and has been simple enough for me to do on the side while preparing the little people’s lunches.
hahaha @SpartanCat I'm so salty about the fact that I never got to do a good pregnancy costume! DD was born a week before halloween so it was a no go during that pregnancy either. I wanted to do one with bloody doll hands coming out, similar to your unicorn idea!
Just got 2 pairs of GAP maternity jeans for $40. There are some good sales on their website right now and I had two rewards codes that got me $10 off each. I'm super psyched because all my old maternity jeans are boot leg or wide leg style and that's just not trendy anymore...the irony here is I'm not really a trendy person at all lol but I do like a good straight leg look!
I was pretty impressed with how nice MSU people were on Saturday. With the exception of one couple who basically yelled go green go white at me, no one was mean!
@lyndshurt I hear you. Broth, rice noodles, non-ground meat and Pho friendly veggies are not staples to our house. So there's just not an easy quick way for us, and without meat in it, I don't stay full long enough, and our normal grocery store doesn't carry rice noodles at all, lol.
@blaf322 We're doing the Flintstones this year, as there's four of us, with kids at right age, sex, and hair color. Not getting dressed all together until tomorrow tho!

@blaf322 we should totally do a Halloween thread. I’m all about anything that will distract from this nausea. DD is just going to be a cat for actual Halloween but we’re going as Cruella, a thug, and a Dalmatian for a party Saturday.

You guys are making me want pho but I live in a rural area 😭 I will be driving past a Chinese place tomorrow on my way home though so I might have to settle for wonton soup...
I made this like...sour cream/cream cheese, tomato sauce, beef, egg noodle recipe thing, and it's so gross looking but so delicious and whyyyy am I so hungry?!?
This child is going to wake me up starving multiple times throughout the night again isn't it....
@bbluemoo I was also thinking wonton soup today since pho is so far. DH asked me to get lunch today, I had zero appetite and said I was in the mood for Pho which he never is.
I got my whole family (DH, DS, dog, me) out for a pre-dinner walk and it really cut down the afternoon nausea and fatigue for me. Hopefully the Santa Anas stay away and we can make this a habit.
A couple weeks ago I said I thought the starter on my car was going but H said battery but got the battery tested and it was fine so he basically went with wait and see. I said I was going to be livid if I got stuck somewhere with a toddler and him out of town... Well, luckily the time it didn’t start was at home with him at home. So he tried jumping it and he tried replacing the battery so, I was right and it was the starter. 😂 While I’m irritated that my car is currently inop and the one I have to drive until it’s fixed is a PITA, I am feeling quite smug. I did go ahead and point out how glad I was that it wasn’t at daycare pickup juggling a hangry, end of day toddler and a car seat with an Uber and him chilling somewhere across the country.

@kiki75 Hooray for being at home, and being right! I'm sorry you're stuck with a rental and your husband didn't trust you (mine always does, but I've taught him everything he knows about cars, lol!). Yay for being vindicated.

@blaf322 My snack is nearly gone, already cracked into it. Normally I'm fine, but just hungry today I guess. I figured I have a meeting from 3-4pm, if I need to I'll hit a vending machine
@akoros I was STARVING all day yesterday so I totally get it! I was telling a friend and talking through what I had eaten and she made a good point... I needed more protein (I had a lot of fruits and veggies for snacks). I'm going to try to do better with my protein intake and see if it helps some.
Me: I'm going to make sure I'm eating healthy and monitoring my weight gain while I'm still feeling good. Also me: Well, if no one is going to eat any of this leftover boss's day ice cream cake..... #piggy
Wearing skinny pants that zipper up both sides. Went to the bathroom and one zipper completely split. Omg. Thankfully my sweater mostly covers it. Maternity pants....I see you....

We got too busy this weekend and didn't have a chance to get my maternity stuff out of the attic. No time today or Thursday, need to get our back door new threshold and weather stripping installed Wednesday (the old one rotted, so it's totally gone, and we're supposed to get snow from tonight through Thursday, so getting it done is REALLY important right now), so hopefully can get my maternity stuff out Friday. I'm stuck in one pair of maternity pants I hadn't put away at all and 2 pairs of sweats until then. It's...not fun.

Oh thank god, not shipped to VA or DC. I just finished eating a honeycrisp apple....
@akoros... ate a red delicious yesterday and I’m in the affected area 😑 I’m sure I’m fine though. It wasn’t bagged.
Mine were bagged (from Trader Joe's, not sure where they source), but I've also had them for at least a week and have eaten most already, so if there was a problem I should have already gotten sick...right?
@akoros you’re outside of the affected area so I wouldn’t worried. I’ve asked my friend on my other BMB how long until she was sick when she had it with her DS but don’t have an answer yet. That said, my thought it, yes. You’d be sick already if it were an issue 😀
